1 Quant aux départements des portiers, des Korhites, il y avait Meshelemiah, le fils de Kore, des fils d’Asaph.

 1 Concerning the divisions of the porters: Of the Korhites was Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.

2 Et les fils de Meshelemiah étaient Zechariah, le premier-né, Jediael le second, Zebadiah le troisième, Jathniel le quatrième,

 2 And the sons of Meshelemiah were, Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

3 Elam le cinquième, Jehohanan le sixième, Elioenai le septième.

 3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.

4 En plus les fils d’Obededom étaient Shemaiah, le premier-né, Jehozabad le second, Joah le troisième, Sacar le quatrième, Nethaneel le cinquième,

 4 Moreover the sons of Obededom were, Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fifth,

5 Ammiel le sixième, Issachar le septième, Peulthai le huitième ; car Dieu l’avait béni.

 5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peulthai the eighth: for God blessed him.

6 Et à Shemaiah, son fils, naquirent des fils qui dominèrent dans la maison de leur père, car ils étaient de puissants hommes de valeur.

 6 Also unto Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled throughout the house of their father: for they were mighty men of valour.

7 Les fils de Shemaiah, Othni, et Rephael, et Obed, Elzabad, dont ses frères étaient des hommes robustes, Elihu et Shemachiah.

 7 The sons of Shemaiah; Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brethren were strong men, Elihu, and Semachiah.

8 Tous ceux-là étaient des fils d’Obededom ; eux, leurs fils et leurs frères, hommes capables, pleins de vigueur pour le service, étaient soixante-deux d’Obededom.

 8 All these of the sons of Obededom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men for strength for the service, were threescore and two of Obededom.

9 Et Meshelemiah avait des fils et des frères, hommes robustes, dix-huit.

 9 And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, strong men, eighteen.

10 Et Hosah, des enfants de Merari, avait des fils Simri, le chef (car bien qu’il ne soit pas le premier-né, son père l’établit pour chef) ;

 10 Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons; Simri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him the chief;)

11 Hilkiah le second, Tebaliah le troisième, Zechariah le quatrième ; tous les fils et les frères de Hosah étaient treize.

 11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.

12 Parmi ceux-ci étaient les départements des portiers, c’est-à-dire parmi les chefs des hommes, conformément à leurs frères, pour servir dans la maison du SEIGNEUR.

 12 Among these were the divisions of the porters, even among the chief men, having wards one against another, to minister in the house of the LORD.

13 ¶ Et ils tirèrent au sort, aussi bien le petit que le grand, selon la maison de leurs pères, pour chaque porte.

 13 ¶ And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate.

14 Et le sort côté est tomba sur Shelemiah. Puis ils tirèrent au sort pour Zechariah, son fils, un sage conseiller, et son sort échut du côté du Nord.

 14 And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

15 À Obededom, le côté sud, et à ses fils, la maison des Asuppim.

 15 To Obededom southward; and to his sons the house of Asuppim.

16 À Shuppim et à Hosah le sort échut le côté ouest, avec la porte de Shallecheth, auprès du chemin montant ; une garde face à l’autre.

 16 To Shuppim and Hosah the lot came forth westward, with the gate Shallecheth, by the causeway of the going up, ward against ward.

17 Vers l’Est étaient six Lévites, vers le Nord quatre par jour ; vers le Sud quatre par jour, et vers Asuppim deux et deux ;

 17 Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and toward Asuppim two and two.

18 À Parbar, vers l’Ouest, quatre vers le chemin, et deux à Parbar.

 18 At Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar.

19 Ce sont les départements des portiers, parmi les fils de Kore, et parmi les fils de Merari.

 19 These are the divisions of the porters among the sons of Kore, and among the sons of Merari.

20 ¶ Et des Lévites, Ahijah était commis sur les trésors de la maison de Dieu, et sur les trésors des choses dédiées.

 20 ¶ And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.

21 Quant aux fils de Laadan, les fils du Gershonite, Laadan, chefs des pères, c’est-à-dire de Laadan, le Gershonite, il y avait Jehieli,

 21 As concerning the sons of Laadan; the sons of the Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers, even of Laadan the Gershonite, were Jehieli.

22 Les fils de Jehieli, Zetham et Joël, son frère, lesquels étaient commis sur les trésors de la maison du SEIGNEUR.

 22 The sons of Jehieli; Zetham, and Joel his brother, which were over the treasures of the house of the LORD.

23 Des Amramites, et des Izharites, les Hebronites et les Uzzielites,

 23 Of the Amramites, and the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites:

24 Et Shebuel, le fils de Gershom, fils de Moïse, était surintendant des trésors.

 24 And Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler of the treasures.

25 Et ses frères du côté d’Eliezer, Rehabiah, son fils, et Jeshaiah son fils, et Joram son fils, et Zichri son fils, et Shelomith son fils.

 25 And his brethren by Eliezer; Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.

26 Lequel Shelomith et ses frères étaient commis sur les trésors des choses dédiées que le roi David, et les chefs des pères, les capitaines de milliers et de centaines, et les capitaines de l’armée avaient dédiées ;

 26 Which Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.

27 Qu’ils avaient dédié du butin gagné dans les batailles, pour l’entretien de la maison du SEIGNEUR.

 27 Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain the house of the LORD.

28 Et tout ce qu’avaient dédié Samuel, le voyant, et Saul, le fils de Kish, et Abner, le fils de Ner, et Joab, le fils de Zeruiah, et toute chose que quiconque avait dédiée, étaient sous la garde de Shelomith et de ses frères.

 28 And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; and whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.

29 ¶ Des Izharites, Chenaniah et ses fils étaient pour l’œuvre extérieure, préposés sur Israël, comme officiers et juges.

 29 ¶ Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.

30 Et des Hebronites, Hashabiah, et ses frères, hommes de valeur, au nombre de mille sept cents, étaient officiers parmi ceux d’Israël, de ce côte du Jourdain, vers l’Ouest, pour toutes les affaires du SEIGNEUR et pour le service du roi.

 30 And of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, a thousand and seven hundred, were officers among them of Israel on this side Jordan westward in all the business of the LORD, and in the service of the king.

31 Parmi les Hebronites, était Jerijah le chef, c’est-à-dire parmi les Hebronites, selon les générations de son père. En la quarantième année du règne de David, on fit une recherche, et il se trouva parmi eux de puissants hommes de valeur à Jazer de Gilead (Galaad).

 31 Among the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even among the Hebronites, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.

32 Et les frères de Jerijah, hommes de valeur, étaient au nombre de deux mille sept cents chefs des pères, que le roi David établit sur les Reubenites (Rubénites), sur les Gadites : et sur la demi-tribu de Manasseh (Manassé), pour tout ce qui concernait Dieu et pour les affaires du roi.

 32 And his brethren, men of valour, were two thousand and seven hundred chief fathers, whom king David made rulers over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, for every matter pertaining to God, and affairs of the king.
