1 Et le SEIGNEUR parla à Moïse disant:

 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Parle à Aaron, et dis-lui : Quand tu allumeras les lampes, les sept lampes donneront de la lumière sur le devant du chandelier.

 2 Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.

3 Et Aaron fit ainsi, il alluma les lampes sur le devant du chandelier, comme le SEIGNEUR l’avait commandé à Moïse.

 3 And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.

4 Et l’ouvrage du chandelier était d’or martelé, depuis sa tige jusqu’à ses fleurs, c’était un ouvrage martelé selon le modèle que le SEIGNEUR avait fait voir à Moïse, ainsi il fit le chandelier.

 4 And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.

5 ¶ Et le SEIGNEUR parla à Moïse disant:

 5 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

6 Prends les Lévites d’entre les enfants d’Israël, et purifie-les.

 6 Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

7 Et tu leur feras ainsi pour les purifier Fais sur eux aspersion de l’eau de purification ; qu’ils rasent toute leur chair, et qu’ils lavent leurs vêtements, et ainsi ils se purifieront.

 7 And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.

8 Et qu’ils prennent un jeune taureau, avec son offrande de farine, savoir, de fine farine pétrie à l’huile ; et tu prendras un autre jeune taureau, pour l’offrande pour le péché.

 8 Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.

9 Et tu feras approcher les Lévites devant le tabernacle de la congrégation, et tu assembleras toute la congrégation des enfants d’Israël.

 9 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:

10 Et tu feras approcher les Lévites devant le SEIGNEUR, et les enfants d’Israël poseront leurs mains sur les Lévites,

 10 And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:

11 Et Aaron offrira les Lévites en offrande devant le SEIGNEUR, de la part des enfants d’Israël, afin qu’ils puissent exécuter le service du SEIGNEUR.

 11 And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD.

12 Et les Lévites poseront leurs mains sur la tête des taureaux ; et tu offriras l’un en offrande pour le péché, et l’autre en offrande consumée au SEIGNEUR, pour faire une expiation pour les Lévites.

 12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites.

13 Et tu placeras les Lévites devant Aaron et devant ses fils, et tu les offriras en offrande au SEIGNEUR.

 13 And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD.

14 Ainsi tu sépareras les Lévites d’entre les enfants d’Israël, et les Lévites seront à moi.

 14 Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.

15 Après cela, les Lévites viendront pour faire le service du tabernacle de la congrégation et tu les purifieras, et tu les offriras en offrande.

 15 And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.

16 Car ils me sont entièrement donnés du milieu des enfants d’Israël ; je les ai pris pour moi, au lieu de tous ceux qui ouvrent l’utérus, à savoir au lieu de tous les premiers-nés d’entre les enfants d’Israël.

 16 For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.

17 Car tout premier-né parmi les enfants d’Israël est à moi, tant homme que bête ; je me les suis sanctifiés le jour où je frappai tout premier-né dans la terre d’Égypte.

 17 For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.

18 Et j’ai pris les Lévites au lieu de tous les premiers-nés des enfants d’Israël.

 18 And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.

19 Et j’ai donné les Lévites en présent à Aaron et à ses fils, d’entre les enfants d’Israël, pour faire le service des enfants d’Israël dans le tabernacle de la congrégation, et pour faire une expiation pour les enfants d’Israël, afin qu’il n’y ait pas de plaie parmi les enfants d’Israël, quand les enfants d’Israël s’approcheront du sanctuaire.

 19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.

20 Et Moïse, Aaron et toute la congrégation des enfants d’Israël firent à l’égard des Lévites, selon tout ce que le SEIGNEUR avait commandé à Moïse concernant les Lévites ; ainsi les enfants d’Israël firent à leur égard.

 20 And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.

21 Et les Lévites se purifièrent, et lavèrent leurs vêtements ; et Aaron les offrit en offrande devant le SEIGNEUR, et Aaron fit une expiation pour eux pour les purifier.

 21 And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.

22 Après cela, les Lévites vinrent pour faire leur service dans le tabernacle de la congrégation devant Aaron et devant ses fils ; comme le SEIGNEUR avait commandé à Moïse concernant les Lévites, ainsi on fit à leur égard.

 22 And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.

23 ¶ Et le SEIGNEUR parla à Moïse disant:

 23 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

24 Ceci est ce qui concerne les Lévites : Depuis l’âge de vingt-cinq ans et au-dessus, ils entreront en service du tabernacle de la congrégation.

 24 This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:

25 Et `partir de l’âge de cinquante ans, ils cesseront leur service et ne serviront plus ;

 25 And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more:

26 Mais il assistera avec ses frères dans le tabernacle de la congrégation, pour garder la charge, et ne fera plus de service. Tu feras ainsi à l’égard des Lévites, concernant leurs charges.

 26 But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.
