1 Et quant aux fils d’Aaron, ce sont ici leurs divisions. Les fils d’Aaron Nadab, et Abihu, Eleazar et Ithamar.

 1 Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

2 Mais Nadab et Abihu moururent avant leur père, et n’eurent pas d’enfants ; c’est pourquoi Eleazar et Ithamar exercèrent la fonction de prêtres.

 2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest’s office.

3 Et David les répartit, Zadok (Tsadok) des fils d’Eleazar, et Ahimelech des fils d’Ithamar selon leurs fonctions dans leur service.

 3 And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their offices in their service.

4 Et on trouva parmi les fils d’Eleazar plus de chefs que parmi les fils d’Ithamar, et ils furent divisés ainsi parmi les fils d’Eleazar, il y avait seize chefs de maisons de pères, et huit parmi les fils d’Ithamar, selon les maisons de leurs pères.

 4 And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and thus were they divided. Among the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen chief men of the house of their fathers, and eight among the sons of Ithamar according to the house of their fathers.

5 Ainsi ils furent divisés par lot, les uns avec les autres ; car les gouverneurs du sanctuaire et les gouverneurs de la maison de Dieu étaient des fils d’Eleazar et des fils d’Ithamar.

 5 Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors of the house of God, were of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.

6 Et Shemaiah, le fils de Nethaneel, le scribe, un des Lévites, les inscrivit devant le roi et les princes, de Zadok (Tsadok), le prêtre, et d’Ahimelech, le fils d’Abiathar, et devant les chefs des pères des prêtres et des Lévites une maison principale était tirée pour Eleazar, et une était tirée pour Ithamar.

 6 And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

 7 Now the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,

8 Le troisième, à Harim ; le quatrième, à Seorim ;

 8 The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,

9 Le cinquième, à Malchijah ; le sixième, à Mijamin ;

 9 The fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,

10 Le septième, à Hakkoz ; le huitième, à Abijah ;

 10 The seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

11 Le neuvième, à Jeshua ; le dixième, à Shecaniah ;

 11 The ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,

12 Le onzième, à Eliashib ; le douzième, à Jakim ;

 12 The eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,

13 Le treizième, à Huppah ; le quatorzième, à Jeshebeab ;

 13 The thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,

14 Le quinzième, à Bilgah ; le seizième, à Immer ;

 14 The fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,

15 Le dix-septième, à Hezir ; le dix-huitième, à Aphses ;

 15 The seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Aphses,

16 Le dix-neuvième, à Pethahia ; le vingtième, à Jehezekel ;

 16 The nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezekel,

17 Le vingt et unième, à Jachin ; le vingt-deuxième, à Gamul ;

 17 The one and twentieth to Jachin, the two and twentieth to Gamul,

18 Le vingt-troisième, à Delaiah ; le vingt-quatrième, à Maaziah.

 18 The three and twentieth to Delaiah, the four and twentieth to Maaziah.

19 Ceux-ci furent leur ordre pour leur service, pour entrer dans la maison du SEIGNEUR, selon leur usage, établi par Aaron, leur père, comme le SEIGNEUR Dieu d’Israël, le lui avait commandé.

 19 These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of the LORD, according to their manner, under Aaron their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him.

20 ¶ Et pour le reste des fils de Levi (Lévi), il y avait : Des fils d’Amram Shubael ; et des fils de Shubael Jehdeiah ;

 20 ¶ And the rest of the sons of Levi were these: Of the sons of Amram; Shubael: of the sons of Shubael; Jehdeiah.

21 De Rehabiah, des fils de Rehabiah, le premier était Isshiah.

 21 Concerning Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.

22 Des Izharites, Shelomoth ; des fils de Shelomoth, Jahath.

 22 Of the Izharites; Shelomoth: of the sons of Shelomoth; Jahath.

23 Et les fils de Hebron, Jeriah, le premier, Amariah le second, Jahaziel le troisième, Jekameam le quatrième.

 23 And the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.

24 Des fils d’Uzziel, Michah (Michée), des fils de Michah (Michée), Shamir.

 24 Of the sons of Uzziel; Michah: of the sons of Michah; Shamir.

25 Le frère de Michah (Michée), était Isshiah ; des fils de Isshiah, Zechariah.

 25 The brother of Michah was Isshiah: of the sons of Isshiah; Zechariah.

26 Les fils de Merari étaient Mahli et Mushi ; les fils de Jaaziah, Beno.

 26 The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi: the sons of Jaaziah; Beno.

27 ¶ Les fils de Merari, de Jaaziah, Beno et Shoham, et Zaccur et Ibri.

 27 ¶ The sons of Merari by Jaaziah; Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.

28 De Mahli vint Eleazar qui n’eut pas de fils ;

 28 Of Mahli came Eleazar, who had no sons.

29 De Kish, le fils de Kish était Jerahmeel.

 29 Concerning Kish: the son of Kish was Jerahmeel.

30 Et les fils de Mushi, Mahli, et Eder et Jerimoth. Ce sont les fils des Lévites, selon la maison de leurs pères.

 30 The sons also of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after the house of their fathers.

31 Eux aussi, tirèrent les lots conformément à leurs frères, les fils d’Aaron, en présence du roi David, de Zadok (Tsadok) et d’Ahimelech, et des chefs des pères des prêtres et des Lévites, c’est-à-dire les principaux pères conformément à leurs plus jeunes frères.

 31 These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren.
