1 Et à ce moment-là, se lèvera Michael (Michaël), le grand prince, qui tient ferme pour les enfants de ton peuple ; et ce sera un temps de détresse tel qu’il n’y en a pas eu depuis qu’il existe une nation, à savoir jusqu’à ce moment-là ; et à ce moment-là, ton peuple sera délivré, quiconque sera trouvé écrit dans le livre.

1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
|
2 Et beaucoup de ceux qui dorment dans la poussière de la terre se réveilleront, les uns pour la vie éternelle, les autres pour la honte et un mépris éternel.
|
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
|
3 Et les sages brilleront comme la splendeur du firmament, et ceux qui auront instruit beaucoup à la rectitude brilleront comme des étoiles, pour toujours et toujours.
|
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
|
4 Mais toi, ô Daniel, ferme ces paroles et scelle ce livre, à savoir jusqu’au temps de la fin ; beaucoup courront çà et là, et la connaissance sera augmentée.
|
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
|
5 ¶ Alors moi Daniel regardai, et voici, deux autres hommes se tenaient debout, l’un de ce côté –ci du fleuve, et l’autre de l’autre côté du bord du fleuve.
|
5 ¶ Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
|
6 Et un dit à l’homme vêtu de lin, qui était au-dessus des eaux du fleuve : Quand sera la fin de ces prodiges ?
|
6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
|
7 Et j’entendis l’homme vêtu de lin, qui était au-dessus des eaux du fleuve, lequel leva sa main droite et sa main gauche vers le ciel, et il jura par celui qui vit pour toujours que ce sera pour un temps, des temps et une moitié de temps ; et quand il aura achevé de disperser la puissance du saint peuple, toutes ces choses seront terminées.

7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
|
8 Et moi j’entendis, mais je ne compris pas ; et je dis : Ô mon seigneur, quelle sera l’issue de ces choses ?

8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
|
9 Et il dit : Va, Daniel, car ces paroles sont closes et scellées jusqu’au temps de la fin.
|
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
|
10 Beaucoup seront purifiés, et rendus blancs et éprouvés ; mais les méchants agiront odieusement, et aucun des méchants ne comprendra, mais les hommes sages comprendront.
|
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
|
11 Et, depuis le temps où sera ôté le sacrifice journalier et où l’abomination qui désole sera en place, il y aura mille deux cent quatre-vingt-dix jours.
|
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
|
12 Bénis est celui qui attend, et qui parvient jusqu’à mille trois cent trente-cinq jours.
|
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
|
13 Mais toi, va ton chemin jusqu’à la fin ; néanmoins tu te reposeras, et tu tiendras debout dans ton lot, à la fin des jours.
|
13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
