1 Et tu feras un autel pour y brûler l’encens, tu le feras de bois de Shittim (Sittim).

 1 And thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon: of shittim wood shalt thou make it.

2 Sa longueur sera d’une coudée et sa largeur d’une coudée ; il sera carré ; et sa hauteur sera de deux coudées ; ses cornes feront corps avec celui-ci.

 2 A cubit shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof; foursquare shall it be: and two cubits shall be the height thereof: the horns thereof shall be of the same.

3 Et tu le recouvriras d’or pur, le dessus et ses côtés tout autour et ses cornes ; et tu lui feras un couronnement d’or tout autour.

 3 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof; and thou shalt make unto it a crown of gold round about.

4 Et tu lui feras deux anneaux en or au-dessous de son couronnement, à ses deux coins, tu les placeras sur ses deux côtés, lesquels seront pour passer les barres pour le porter.

 4 And two golden rings shalt thou make to it under the crown of it, by the two corners thereof, upon the two sides of it shalt thou make it; and they shall be for places for the staves to bear it withal.

5 Et tu feras les barres en bois de Shittim (Sittim) et tu les recouvriras d’or.

 5 And thou shalt make the staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.

6 Et tu le mettras devant le voile, qui est devant l’arche du témoignage, en face du siège de miséricorde qui est sur le témoignage, où je me tiendrai avec toi.

 6 And thou shalt put it before the vail that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee.

7 Et Aaron y brûlera l’encens odoriférant chaque matin, quand il préparera les lampes, il y brûlera l’encens.

 7 And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it.

8 Et quand Aaron allumera les lampes le soir, il y brûlera l’encens ; un encens perpétuel devant le SEIGNEUR à travers toutes vos générations.

 8 And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the LORD throughout your generations.

9 Vous n’y offrirez aucun encens étrange, ni offrande consumée, ni offrande de cfarine et vous n’y verserez aucune offrande liquide non plus.

 9 Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon.

10 Et Aaron fera l une expiation sur les cornes de l’autel, une fois par an, avec le sang de l’offrande de péché des expiations, une fois par an il y fera expiation à travers toutes vos générations ; c’est très saint au SEIGNEUR.

 10 And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the LORD.

11 ¶ Et le SEIGNEUR parla à Moïse, disant :

 11 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

12 Quand tu feras le dénombrement des enfants d’Israël, selon leur nombre, alors ils donneront chacun la rançon de leur âme au SEIGNEUR, lorsque tu en feras le dénombrement ; afin qu’il n’y ait pas de plaie parmi eux, quand tu les dénombreras.

 12 When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto the LORD, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numberest them.

13 Tous ceux qui, parmi eux, passeront par le dénombrement donneront un demi-shekel, selon le shekel du sanctuaire, (un shekel est de vingt guéras) ; un demi-shekel sera l’offrande au SEIGNEUR.

 13 This they shall give, every one that passeth among them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary: (a shekel is twenty gerahs:) an half shekel shall be the offering of the LORD.

14 Tous ceux qui, parmi eux, passeront par le dénombrement, depuis l’âge de vingt ans et plus, donneront l’offrande du SEIGNEUR.

 14 Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the LORD.

15 Le riche ne donnera pas plus et le pauvre ne donnera pas moins qu’un demi-shekel, quand ils donneront une offrande au SEIGNEUR, pour une expiation de vos âmes.

 15 The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls.

16 Et tu prendras des enfants d’Israël l’argent de l’expiation et tu l’appliqueras au service du tabernacle de la congrégation ; afin qu’il soit une commémoration pour les enfants d’Israël devant le SEIGNEUR, pour une expiation de vos âmes.

 16 And thou shalt take the atonement money of the children of Israel, and shalt appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; that it may be a memorial unto the children of Israel before the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls.

17 ¶ Et le SEIGNEUR parla à Moïse, disant :

 17 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

18 Tu feras aussi une cuve en cuivre, avec son soubassement en cuivre, pour s’y laver ; et tu la mettras entre le tabernacle de la congrégation et l’autel et tu y mettras de l’eau.

 18 Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.

19 Car Aaron et ses fils y laveront leurs mains et leurs pieds.

 19 For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat:

20 Quand ils entreront dans le tabernacle de la congrégation, ils se laveront avec de l’eau, afin qu’ils ne meurent pas, ou quand ils approcheront de l’autel pour faire le service, afin de brûler l’offrande faite par feu au SEIGNEUR.

 20 When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD:

21 Ainsi ils laveront leurs mains et leurs pieds, afin qu’ils ne meurent pas ; et ce sera pour eux un statut pour toujours, c’est-à-dire pour lui et pour sa semence à travers toutes leurs générations.

 21 So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.

22  ¶ En outre, le SEIGNEUR parla encore à Moïse, disant :

 22 ¶ Moreover the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

23 Prends les meilleures épices, cinq cents shekels de myrrhe pure ; la moitié en quantité de cannelle odoriférante, c’est-à-dire, deux cent cinquante shekels ; et deux cent cinquante shekels de roseau odoriférant ;

 23 Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels,

24 Et cinq cents shekels de cassier, selon le shekel du sanctuaire ; et un hin d’huile d’olive ;

 24 And of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin:

25 Et tu en feras une huile de sainte onction, un baume composé selon l’art de l’apothicaire ; ce sera l’huile de l’onction sainte.

 25 And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil.

26 Et tu en oindras le tabernacle de la congrégation et l’arche du témoignage,

 26 And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony,

27 Ainsi que la table et tous ses ustensiles, et le chandelier et ses ustensiles, et l’autel d’encens,

 27 And the table and all his vessels, and the candlestick and his vessels, and the altar of incense,

28 Et l’autel pour l’offrande consumée avec tous ses ustensiles, et la cuve et son soubassement.

 28 And the altar of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot.

29 Et tu les sanctifieras, afin qu’ils soient très saints ; tout ce qui les touchera sera saint.

 29 And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy.

30 Et tu oindras Aaron et ses fils et tu les consacreras, pour qu’ils puissent me servir dans la fonction de prêtre.

 30 And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

31 Et tu parleras aux enfants d’Israël disant : Ceci sera pour moi une huile de l’onction sainte à travers toutes vos générations.

 31 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.

32 On ne la versera pas sur la chair de l’homme et vous n’en ferez aucune autre de même composition : elle est sainte et elle vous sera sainte.

 32 Upon man’s flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you.

33 Quiconque en composera de semblable, ou quiconque en mettra sur un étranger, sera retranché de son peuple.

 33 Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.

34  ¶ Et le SEIGNEUR dit à Moïse : Prends des épices odoriférantes : du stacté, de l’onyche et du galbanum, ces épices odoriférantes avec de l’encens pur seront chacune à poids égal ;

 34 ¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like weight:

35 Et tu en feras un parfum, confectionné selon l’art de l’apothicaire, mélangé ensemble, pur et saint ;

 35 And thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy:

36 Tu en pileras très finement une partie et tu en mettras devant le témoignage, dans le tabernacle de la congrégation, où je me tiendrai avec toi ; cela vous sera très saint.

 36 And thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy.

37 Et quant au parfum que tu feras, vous n’en ferez pas pour vous selon la même composition : il te sera saint au SEIGNEUR.

 37 And as for the perfume which thou shalt make, ye shall not make to yourselves according to the composition thereof: it shall be unto thee holy for the LORD.

38 Quiconque en fera de semblable pour le sentir, sera retranché de son peuple.

 38 Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereto, shall even be cut off from his people.
