1 La parole du SEIGNEUR vint à moi, disant :

 1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2 Fils de l’homme, dresse ta face vers Gog, le pays de Magog, le prince chef, de Meshech et de Tubal, et prophétise contre lui ;

 2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

3 Et dis : Ainsi dit le Seigneur DIEU : Voici, j'en veux à toi, ô Gog, le chef prince, de Meshech et de Tubal ;

 3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

4 Et je te ferai retourner, et je mettrai des crochets à tes mâchoires, et je te ferai sortir ainsi que toute ton armée, chevaux et cavaliers, tous revêtus de toutes sortes d'armures, à savoir une grande compagnie avec boucliers et écus, tous maniant l'épée.

 4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

5 Avec eux la Perse, l'Éthiopie, et la Libye, tous avec écus et casques ;

 5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

6 Gomer et toutes ses troupes, la maison de Togarmah du fin fond du Nord, avec toutes ses troupes, et beaucoup de peuples avec toi.

 6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.

7 Sois prêt, prépare-toi, toi et toute ta compagnie qui est assemblée avec toi, et sois-leur pour garde.

 7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

8 ¶ Après beaucoup de jours, tu seras visité ; et dans les dernières années tu viendras dans le pays qui aura été délivré de l'épée et rassemblé d'entre beaucoup de peuples, sur les montagnes d'Israël, qui auront été continuellement désertées ; mais ce pays aura été ramenés d'entre les nations, et ils y demeureront tous en sécurité.

 8 ¶ After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

9 Tu monteras, et tu viendras comme une tempête, tu seras comme un nuage pour couvrir le pays, toi, et toutes tes bandes et beaucoup de peuples avec toi.

 9 Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

10 Ainsi dit le Seigneur DIEU : Il arrivera qu'à ce même moment, des choses viendront à ton cerveau, et tu penseras une mauvaise pensée.

 10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

11 Et tu diras Je monterai vers le pays de villes sans murailles ; j'irai vers ceux qui sont en repos, qui demeurent en sécurité, demeurant tous sans murailles, et n'ont ni barres, ni portes.

 11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

12 Pour enlever un butin et faire un pillage, pour tourner ta main sur les lieux  inhabités qui sont de nouveau habités, et sur le peuple rassemblé d'entre les nations, qui a acquis du bétail et ses biens, qui demeure au milieu du pays.

 12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

13 Sheba et Dedan, et les marchands de Tarshish et tous ses lionceaux, te diront : Es-tu venu enlever un butin ? As-tu assemblé ta multitude pour faire le pillage ? Pour emporter argent et or, pour prendre bétail et biens, pour enlever un grand butin ?

 13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

14 ¶ C'est pourquoi, Fils de l’homme, prophétise, et dis à Gog : Ainsi dit le Seigneur DIEU : En ce jour-là quand mon peuple Israël demeurera en sécurité, ne le sauras-tu pas ?

 14 ¶ Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?

15 Et tu viendras de ton lieu du fond du Nord, toi et beaucoup de peuples avec toi, tous montés sur des chevaux, une grande multitude et une puissante armée.

 15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

16 Et tu monteras contre mon peuple d'Israël, pareil à un nuage pour couvrir le pays ; ce sera dans les derniers jours¸ et je te ferai venir contre mon pays, afin que les païens me connaissent, quand je serai sanctifié en toi, ô Gog devant leurs yeux.

 16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

17 Ainsi dit le Seigneur DIEU : N'es-tu pas celui dont j'ai parlé autrefois par mes serviteurs les prophètes d'Israël, qui en ces jours-là (pendant) plusieurs années ont prophétisé que je te ferais venir contre eux ?

 17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?

18 Et il arrivera, à ce même moment quand Gog viendra contre le pays d'Israël, dit le Seigneur DIEU, que ma fureur me montera au visage.

 18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.

19 Car j'ai parlé dans ma jalousie et dans le feu de ma colère assurément, en ce jour-là, il y aura un grand tremblement dans le pays d'Israël.

 19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

20 Si bien que les poissons de la mer, et les oiseaux du ciel, et les bêtes des champs et toutes choses rampantes sur la terre, et tous les hommes qui sont sur la face de la terre, trembleront en ma présence, et les montagnes seront renversées, et les lieus escarpés tomberont, et toutes les murailles tomberont par terre.

 20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

21 Et j'appellerai contre lui l'épée sur toutes mes montagnes, dit le Seigneur DIEU ; l'épée de chaque homme sera contre son frère.

 21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.

22 Et je plaiderai contre lui par la pestilence et par le sang ; je ferai pleuvoir sur lui, sur ses bandes, et sur les nombreux peuples qui seront avec lui, une pluie torrentielle, des pierres de grêle, du feu et du soufre.

 22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

23 Ainsi je me magnifierai, et je me sanctifierai, et je serai connu aux yeux de beaucoup de nations, et elles sauront que je suis le SEIGNEUR.

 23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
