1 Qui a cru à notre rapport ? Et à qui est le bras du SEIGNEUR révélé ?
|
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
|
2 Car il grandira devant lui comme un tendre rejeton, et comme une racine sortant d'un sol assoiffé :il n'a ni forme ni attrait ; et lorsque nous le regardons, il n'y a aucune beauté pour que nous le désirions.
|
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
|
3 Il est méprisé et rejeté des hommes ; un homme de douleurs et accoutumé au déchirement: et nous avons comme caché nos visages devant lui ; il fut méprisé, et nous ne l’estimèrent pas.
|
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
|
4 ¶ Assurément il a porté nos déchirements, et s'est chargé de nos douleurs : cependant nous l'estimions frappé, il était battu de Dieu, et affligé.
|
4 ¶ Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
|
5 Mais il fut blessé pour nos transgressions, il fut meurtri pour nos iniquités: le châtiment de notre paix fut sur lui ; et par les coups qu'il a reçus nous sommes guéris.
|
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
|
6 Nous tous comme des moutons avons été errants ; nous nous sommes détournés chacun suivant son propre chemin, et le SEIGNEUR a placé sur lui l'iniquité de nous tous.
|
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
|
7 Il a été opprimé et il a été affligé, toutefois il n'a pas ouvert sa bouche: il est mené comme un agneau à l'abattoir, et comme un mouton devant ses tondeurs, est muet, ainsi il n'a pas ouvert sa bouche.
|
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
|
8 Il a été pris hors de prison et du jugement : et qui le déclarera sa génération ? Car il a été retranché de la terre des vivants : pour la transgression de mon peuple a-t-il été frappé.
|
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
|
9 Et il a fait sa tombe avec les pervers, et avec le riche dans sa mort ; parce qu'il n'avait commis aucune violence, ni aucune fraude n’était dans sa bouche.
|
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
|
10 ¶ Toutefois il plut au SEIGNEUR de le meurtrir ; il l'a exposé au déchirement : lorsque tu auras fait de son âme une offrande pour le péché, il verra sa semence, il prolongera ses jours, et le plaisir du SEIGNEUR prospérera en sa main.
|
10 ¶ Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
|
11 Il verra du labeur de son âme, et il sera satisfait : par sa connaissance mon serviteur droit justifiera beaucoup ; car il portera leurs iniquités.
|
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
|
12 Par conséquent lui partagerai-je une portion avec les grands, et il partagera le butin avec les vigoureux, parce qu'il a répandu son âme vers la mort : et il fut mis au nombre des transgresseurs ; et il porta le péché de beaucoup, et fit intercession pour les transgresseurs.
|
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
