1 Après ces choses, Jésus se montra encore aux disciples à la mer de Tibériade; et il se montra de cette manière.

 1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.

2 Simon Pierre, et Thomas, appelé Didyme, et Nathanaël de Cana en Galilée, et les fils de Zébédée et deux autres de ses disciples étaient ensemble.

 2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.

3 Simon Pierre leur dit: Je vais pêcher. Ils lui dirent: Nous allons aussi avec toi. Ils s’en allèrent, et montèrent immédiatement dans un bateau; et cette nuit-là ils n’attrapèrent rien.

 3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

4 Mais lorsque le matin était maintenant venu, Jésus se tenait sur le rivage: mais les disciples ne savaient pas que c’était Jésus.

 4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

5 Alors Jésus leur dit: Enfants, avez-vous quelque nourriture? Ils lui répondirent: Non.

 5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.

6 Et il leur dit: Jetez le filet du côté droit du bateau, et vous trouverez. Ils le jetèrent donc, et maintenant ils n’étaient pas capables de le tirer à cause de la multitude de poissons.

 6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

7 Par conséquent ce disciple que Jésus aimait dit à Pierre: C’est le Seigneur. Or quand Simon Pierre entendit que c’était le Seigneur, il se ceignit de son manteau de pécheur (car il était nu), et se jeta dans la mer.

 7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

8 Et les autres disciples vinrent dans un petit bateau; (car ils n’étaient pas loin de la terre, mais à environ deux cents coudées), traînant le filet de poissons.

 8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.

9 Alors dès qu’ils eurent touché terre, ils virent là un feu de charbons, et du poisson posé dessus, et du pain.

 9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

10 Jésus leur dit: Apportez des poissons que vous venez maintenant d’attraper.

 10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.

11 Simon Pierre monta, et tira le filet à terre, plein de grands poissons, cent cinquante-trois: et bien qu’il y en eût tant, cependant le filet ne se déchira pas.

 11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

12 Jésus leur dit: Venez et dînez. Et aucun des disciples n’osa lui demander: Qui es-tu? Sachant que c’était le Seigneur.

 12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

13 Jésus alors vient, et prend du pain, et leur en donne, et de même du poisson.

 13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.

14 C’est maintenant la troisième fois que Jésus se montrait à ses disciples, après qu’il eut été ressuscité d’entre les morts.

 14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

15 ¶ Ainsi lorsqu’ils eurent dîné, Jésus dit à Simon Pierre: Simon, fils de Jonas, m’aimes-tu plus que ceux-ci? Il lui dit: Oui, Seigneur; tu sais que je t’aime. Il lui dit: Nourris mes agneaux.

 15 ¶ So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

16 Il lui dit de nouveau pour la seconde fois, Simon, fils de Jonas, m’aimes-tu? Il lui dit: Oui, Seigneur; tu sais que je t’aime. Il lui dit: Nourris mes moutons.

 16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

17 Il lui dit pour la troisième fois : Simon, fils de Jonas, m’aimes-tu? Pierre fut navré parce qu’il lui disait pour la troisième fois, M’aimes-tu? Et il lui dit: Seigneur, tu connais toutes choses; tu sais que je t’aime. Jésus lui dit: Nourris mes moutons.

 17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

18 En vérité, en vérité, je te dis: Lorsque tu étais jeune, tu te ceignais toi-même, et tu marchais où tu voulais: mais lorsque tu seras vieux, tu étendras tes mains, et un autre te ceindra, et te portera où tu ne voudrais pas.

 18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.

19 Il parla ainsi, signifiant par quelle mort il glorifierait Dieu. Et quand il eut parlé ainsi, il lui dit: Suis-moi.

 19 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

20 Alors Pierre, se retournant, voit le disciple que Jésus aimait les suivant; lequel aussi s’était penché sur sa poitrine pendant le souper, et avait dit: Seigneur, lequel est celui qui te trahit?

 20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?

21 Pierre le voyant dit à Jésus: Seigneur, et que fera cet homme?

 21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?

22 Jésus lui dit: Si je veux qu’il attende jusqu’à ce que je vienne, qu’est-ce que cela peut te faire? Toi, suis-moi.

 22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

23 Alors ce propos se répandit de tous côtés parmi les frères, que ce disciple ne mourrait pas: cependant Jésus ne lui avait pas dit, Il ne mourra pas; mais, Si je veux qu’il attende jusqu’à ce que je vienne, qu’est-ce que cela peut te faire?

 23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

24 C’est le disciple qui témoigne de ces choses, et qui a écrit ces choses: et nous savons que son témoignage est vrai.

 24 This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

25 Et il y a encore beaucoup d’autres choses que Jésus a faites, si chacune d’elles devait être écrite, je suppose que le monde même ne pourrait contenir les livres que l’on devrait écrire. Amen.

 25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
