1 Or, ce sont ici les rois du pays, que les enfants d’Israël frappèrent, et dont ils possédèrent le pays, au delà du Jourdain, vers le soleil levant, depuis la rivière Arnon jusqu’au mont Hermon, et toute la plaine à l’est :
|
1 Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:
|
2 Sihon, roi des Amorites, qui demeurait à Heshbon (Hesbon), et qui dominait depuis Aroer, qui est sur le bord de la rivière Arnon et depuis le milieu de la rivière, et depuis la moitié de Gilead (Galaad), jusqu’à la rivière Jabbok, qui est la frontière des enfants d’Ammon ;
|
2 Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and from the middle of the river, and from half Gilead, even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;
|
3 Et depuis la plaine jusqu’à la mer de Chinneroth (Kinneroth) à l’est, et jusqu’à la mer de la plaine, savoir la mer salée, à l’est, sur l Amorites (Amoréens) e chemin de Bethjeshimoth ; et du Sud, au-dessous d’ Ashdothpisgah.

3 And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Bethjeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdothpisgah:
|
4 ¶ Et le territoire d’Og, roi de Bashan, qui était du reste des géants, qui demeurait à Ashtaroth et à Edrei,
|
4 ¶ And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,
|
5 Et dominait sur le mont Hermon, et à Salcah, et sur tout Bashan jusqu’à la frontière des Geshurites et des Maachathites, et sur la moitié de Gilead (Galaad), la frontière de Sihon, roi de Heshbon (Hesbon).

5 And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.

6 Moïse, le serviteur du SEIGNEUR, et les enfants d’Israël les frappèrent ; et Moïse, le serviteur du SEIGNEUR, en donna la possession aux Reubenites, et aux Gadites, et à la demi-tribu de Manasseh (Manassé).
|
6 Them did Moses the servant of the LORD and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the LORD gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh.

7 ¶ t ce sont ici les rois du pays, que Joshua (Josué) et les enfants d’Israël frappèrent de ce côté-ci du Jourdain à l’ouest, depuis Baalgad, dans la vallée du Liban, jusqu’au mont Halak, qui monte vers Seir, lequel Joshua (Josué) donna en possession aux tribus d’Israël, selon leurs divisions,

7 ¶ And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;
|
8 Dans les montagnes, dans les plaines, dans les sources, et dans le désert, et dans le sud : les Hittites (Héthiens), les Amorites, et les Canaanites, les Perizzites, les Hivites (Héviens)et les Jebusites (Jébusiens) :
|
8 In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:

9 ¶ Le roi de Jéricho, un ; le roi d’Aï, qui est à côté de Bethel, un ;

10 Le roi de Jérusalem, un ; le roi de Hébron, un ;
|
10 The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;
|
11 Le roi de Jarmuth, un ; le roi de Lachish (Lakish), un ;
|
11 The king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;

12 Le roi d’Eglon, un ; le roi de Gezer (Guézer), un ;
|
12 The king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;

13 Le roi de Debir, un ; le roi de Geder, un ;
