1 À la fin du sabbat, comme l’aube commençait sur le premier jour de la semaine, Marie Magdeleine et l’autre Marie vinrent pour voir le sépulcre.

 1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

2 Et, voici, il y eut un grand tremblement de terre: car l’ange du Seigneur descendit du ciel, vint et roula la pierre de devant l’entrée, et s’assit dessus.

 2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

3 Sa figure était comme un éclair et son habillement blanc comme neige:

 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

4 Et ayant peur de lui les gardes tremblèrent, et devinrent comme des hommes morts.

 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

5 Et l’ange répondit et dit aux femmes: Vous, n’ayez pas peur: car je sais que vous cherchez Jésus, qui a été crucifié.

 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

6 Il n’est pas ici: car il est ressuscité, comme il l’avait dit. Venez, voyez le lieu où le Seigneur était placé.

 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

7 Et allez vite et dites à ses disciples qu’il est ressuscité d’entre les morts; et, voici, il va au-devant de vous en Galilée; là vous le verrez: voici, je vous l’ai dit.

 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

8 Et elles partirent rapidement du sépulcre avec peur et grande joie; et coururent porter la nouvelle à ses disciples.

 8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

9 ¶ Et comme elles allaient le raconter à ses disciples, voici, Jésus vint à leur rencontre, disant: Salut à vous. Et elles vinrent, et le tinrent par les pieds, et l’adorèrent.

 9 ¶ And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

10 Alors Jésus leur dit: N’ayez pas peur: allez dire à mes frères qu’ils aillent en Galilée, et là, ils me verront.

 10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

11 ¶ Or quand elles s’en allèrent, voici, quelques-uns de la garde vinrent à la ville, et déclarèrent aux principaux prêtres toutes les choses qui avaient été faites.

 11 ¶ Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

12 Et lorsqu’ils s’assemblèrent avec les anciens, et qu’ils eurent pris conseil, ils donnèrent une grosse somme d’argent aux soldats,

 12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,

13 Disant: Dites, Ses disciples sont venus de nuit, et l’ont volé pendant que nous dormions.

 13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

14 Et si cela vient aux oreilles du gouverneur, nous le persuaderons, et nous vous mettrons en sécurité.

 14 And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

15 Ainsi ils prirent l’argent, et firent comme ils avaient été instruits: et ce propos s’est couramment répandu parmi les Juifs jusqu’à ce jour.

 15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

16 ¶ Puis les onze disciples s’en allèrent en Galilée, sur une montagne que Jésus leur avait désignée.

 16 ¶ Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

17 Et quand ils le virent, ils l’adorèrent: mais quelques-uns doutèrent.

 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

18 Et Jésus vint et leur parla, disant: Tout pouvoir m’est donné au ciel et sur terre.

 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 ¶ Allez donc et enseignez toutes les nations, les baptisant dans le nom du Père, et du Fils et de l’Esprit Saint:

 19 ¶ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Les enseignant à garder toutes les choses que je vous ai commandées: et, voici, je suis avec vous toujours, même jusqu’à la fin du monde. Amen.

 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
