28 ¶ Et le reste du peuple, les prêtres, les Lévites, les portiers, les chanteurs, les Nethinims (Néthiniens), et tous ceux qui s’étaient séparés des peuples des pays, pour suivre la loi de Dieu, leurs femmes, leurs fils, et leurs filles, tous ceux qui avaient de la connaissance et de l’intelligence,

 28 ¶ And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding;

29 Ils s’attachèrent à leurs frères, leurs notables et entrèrent en exécration, et par serment, à marcher dans la loi de Dieu, qui avait été donnée par Moïse, le serviteur de Dieu, et d’observer et de faire tous les commandements du SEIGNEUR notre Seigneur, ses jugements et ses statuts ;

 29 They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God’s law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;

30 Et que nous ne donnerions pas nos filles aux peuples du pays, et que nous ne prendrions pas leurs filles pour nos fils ;

 30 And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons:

31 Et que si les peuples du pays apportaient des marchandises ou toutes sortes de vivres, le jour du shabbat, pour les vendre, nous n’en achèterions pas ni le shabbat, ni en un jour saint, et que nous laisserions la septième année, et tout le droit d’exiger toute dette.

 31 And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.

32 Nous nous sommes aussi fait des ordonnances, nous imposant le tiers d’un shekel par an pour le service de la maison de notre Dieu,

 32 Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God;

33 Pour le pain de présentation, et pour l’offrande continuelle de farine, pour l’offrande consumée continuelle, des shabbats, des nouvelles lunes, pour les fêtes établies, et pour les choses saintes, et pour les offrandes pour le péché afin de faire une expiation pour Israël, et pour tout le travail qui se fait dans la maison de notre Dieu.

 33 For the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.

34 Et nous avons tiré le sort parmi les prêtres, les Lévites, et le peuple, concernant l’offrande du bois, afin de l’amener à la maison de notre Dieu, selon les maisons de nos pères, aux temps fixés, année par année, pour le brûler sur l’autel du SEIGNEUR notre Dieu, ainsi qu’il est écrit dans la loi.

 34 And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law:

35 Et d’apporter les premiers fruits de notre terre, et les premiers fruits de tous les arbres, année par année, à la maison du SEIGNEUR ;

 35 And to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, unto the house of the LORD:

36 Ainsi que les premiers-nés de nos fils et de notre bétail, comme il est écrit dans la loi ; et à apporter les premiers-nés de nos bœufs et de nos moutons à la maison de notre Dieu, aux prêtres qui font le service dans la maison de notre Dieu.

 36 Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God:

37 Et que nous apporterions les prémices de notre pâte, et nos offrandes, et les fruits de tous les arbres, le vin et l’huile, aux prêtres, dans les chambres de la maison de notre Dieu, et les dîmes de notre terre aux Lévites, afin qu’eux, Lévites, puissent recevoir la dîme dans toutes les villes de notre labourage.

 37 And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.

38 Et le prêtre, le fils d’Aaron, sera avec les Lévites, lorsque les Lévites recevront la dîme ; et les Lévites apporteront la dîme des dîmes à la maison de notre Dieu, dans les chambres de la maison du trésor.

 38 And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes: and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house.

39 Car les enfants d’Israël et les enfants de Levi doivent apporter l’offrande du grain, du vin et de l’huile dans les chambres où sont les ustensiles du sanctuaire, ainsi que les prêtres qui font le service, et les portiers et les chanteurs. Et nous n’abandonnerons pas la maison de notre Dieu.

 39 For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the porters, and the singers: and we will not forsake the house of our God.
