 1 And it came to pass after the plague, that the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,

6 De Hezron(Hetsron), la famille des Hezronites (Hetsronites) ; de Carmi, la famille des Carmites.

7 Celles-ci sont les familles des Reubenites (Rubénites) ; et ceux qui furent comptés furent quarante-trois mille sept cent trente.

 7 These are the families of the Reubenites: and they that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.

8 Et les fils de Pallu : Eliab.

 8 And the sons of Pallu; Eliab.

9 Et les fils d’Eliab : Nemuel, Dathan et Abiram. C’est ce Dathan et cet Abiram, lesquels furent célèbres dans la congrégation, ils se soulevèrent contre Moïse et contre Aaron, dans la compagnie de Korah (Coré), quand ils se soulevèrent contre le SEIGNEUR,

 9 And the sons of Eliab; Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. This is that Dathan and Abiram, which were famous in the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against the LORD:

10 Et la terre ouvrit sa bouche et les engloutit, avec Korah (Coré) lorsque cette compagnie mourut, à ce moment-là le feu dévora les deux cent cinquante ; et ils devinrent un signe.

 10 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.

11 Malgré tout les enfants de Korah (Coré) ne moururent pas.

 11 Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not.

12 ¶ Les fils de Simeon (Siméon), d’après leurs familles ; de Nemuel, la famille des Nemuelites ; de Jamin, la famille des Jaminites ; de Jachin, la famille des Jachinites ;

21 Et les fils de Pharez furent de Hezron, la famille des Hezronites ; et de Hamul, la famille des Hamulites.

28 ¶ Les fils de Joseph, d’après leurs familles furent Manaseh (Mannasé) et Ephraim (Éphraïm).

 28 ¶ The sons of Joseph after their families were Manasseh and Ephraim.

29 Des fils de Manaseh (Mannasé) de Machir, la famille des Machirites ; et Machir engendra Gilead (Guilead) ; de Gilead (Guilead) sortit la famille des Gileadites.

 29 Of the sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites: and Machir begat Gilead: of Gilead come the family of the Gileadites.

30 Ceux-ci sont les fils de Gilead (Guilead) de Jezer, la famille des Jeezerites ; de Helek, la famille des Helekites ;

 30 These are the sons of Gilead: of Jeezer, the family of the Jeezerites: of Helek, the family of the Helekites:

31 Et d’Asriel, la famille des Asrielites ; de Shechem (Sichem), la famille des Shechemites (Sichémites) ;

32 Et de Shemida, la famille des Shemidaites ; et de Hepher, la famille des Hephrites.

33 ¶ Et Zelophehad (Tselophcad), le fils de Hepher, n’eut pas de fils, mais des filles ; et les noms des filles de Zelophehad (Tselophcad) étaient Mahlah (Machla), et Noah (Noa), Hoglah (Hogla), Milcah (Milca)et Tirzah (Thirtsa).

 33 ¶ And Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

34 Celles-ci sont les familles de Manaseh (Mannasé), et ceux qui furent comptés de cinquante-deux mille sept cents.

 34 These are the families of Manasseh, and those that were numbered of them, fifty and two thousand and seven hundred.

35 ¶ Ceux-ci sont les fils d’Ephraim (Éphraïm), d’après leurs familles de Shuthelah, la famille des Shuthalhites ; de Becher, la famille des Bachrites ; de Tahan, la famille des Tahanites.

 35 ¶ These are the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthalhites: of Becher, the family of the Bachrites: of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.

36 Et ceux-ci sont les fils de Shuthelah d’Eran, la famille des Eranites.

 36 And these are the sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the family of the Eranites.

37 Celles-ci sont les familles des fils d’Ephraim (Éphraïm), selon ceux qui furent comptés trente-deux mille cinq cents. Ce sont là les fils de Joseph, d’après leurs familles.

 38 ¶ The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites: of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites: of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites:

39 De Shupham, la famille des Shuphamites ; de Hupham, la famille des Huphamites.

 39 Of Shupham, the family of the Shuphamites: of Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.

40 Et les fils de Bela furent Ard et Naaman ; d’Ard, la famille des Ardites ; de Naaman, la famille des Naamites.

 40 And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites: and of Naaman, the family of the Naamites.

41 Ceux-ci sont les fils de Benjamin, d’après leurs familles ; et ceux qui furent comptés, quarante-cinq mille six cents.

 41 These are the sons of Benjamin after their families: and they that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and six hundred.

42 ¶ Ceux-ci sont les fils de Dan, d’après leurs familles de Shuham, la famille des Shuhamites. Ce sont là les familles de Dan, d’après leurs familles ;

 42 ¶ These are the sons of Dan after their families: of Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan after their families.

43 Toutes les familles des Shuhamites, selon ceux qui furent comptés, soixante-quatre mille quatre cents.

 43 All the families of the Shuhamites, according to those that were numbered of them, were threescore and four thousand and four hundred.

44 ¶ Des enfants d’Asher (Asser), d’après leurs familles de Jimna, la famille des Jimnites ; de Jesui, la famille des Jesuites ; de Beriah, la famille des Berites.

 44 ¶ Of the children of Asher after their families: of Jimna, the family of the Jimnites: of Jesui, the family of the Jesuites: of Beriah, the family of the Beriites.

45 Des fils de Beriah de Heber, la famille des Heberites ; de Malchiel, la famille des Malchielites.

 45 Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites: of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites.

46 Et le nom de la fille d’Asher (Asser), était Sarah.

 46 And the name of the daughter of Asher was Sarah.

47 Celles-ci sont les familles des fils d’Asher (Asser), selon ceux qui furent comptés cinquante-trois mille quatre cents.

 47 These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those that were numbered of them; who were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

48 ¶ Des fils de Naphthali, d’après leurs familles de Jahzeel, la famille des Jahzeelites ; de Guni, la famille des Gunites ;

 48 ¶ Of the sons of Naphtali after their families: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites: of Guni, the family of the Gunites:

49 De Jezer, la famille des Jezerites ; de Shillem, la famille des Shillemites.

 49 Of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites: of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.

 50 These are the families of Naphtali according to their families: and they that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and four hundred.

51 Ceux-ci furent le nombre des enfants d’Israël, six cent un mille sept cent trente.

 51 These were the numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand and a thousand seven hundred and thirty.

52 ¶ Et le SEIGNEUR parla à Moïse disant:

 52 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

53 La terre sera divisée à ceux-ci en héritage, selon le nombre des noms ;

 53 Unto these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.

54 À ceux qui sont en plus grand nombre, tu donneras plus d’héritage, et au moins nombreux, tu donneras moins d’héritage ; on donnera à chacun son héritage selon ceux qui en ont été comptés.

 54 To many thou shalt give the more inheritance, and to few thou shalt give the less inheritance: to every one shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him.

55 Toutefois la terre sera divisée par lot ; ils hériteront selon les noms des tribus de leurs pères.

 55 Notwithstanding the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.

56 Leur possession sera divisée selon le lot entre les plus nombreux et les moins nombreux.

 56 According to the lot shall the possession thereof be divided between many and few.

57 ¶ Et ceux-ci sont ceux qui furent comptés des Lévites, d’après leurs familles de Gershon (Guershon), la famille des Gershonites ; de Kohath (Kéhath), la famille des Kohathites) ; de Merari, la famille des Merarites.

 57 ¶ And these are they that were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites: of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites: of Merari, the family of the Merarites.

58 Celles-ci sont les familles de Levi (Lévi) la famille des Libnites, la famille des Hebronites, la famille des Mahlites, la famille des Mushites, la famille des Korathites. Et Kohath (Kéhath) engendra Amram.

 58 These are the families of the Levites: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korathites. And Kohath begat Amram.

59 Et le nom de la femme d’Amram était Jochebed, la fille de Levi (Lévi), que la femme de Levi (Lévi) enfanta en Égypte ; et elle enfanta à Amram, Aaron, Moïse et Miriam leur sœur.

 59 And the name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bare to Levi in Egypt: and she bare unto Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.

60 Et à Aaron, naquirent Nadab et Abihu, Eleazar et Ithamar.

 60 And unto Aaron was born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

61 Et Nadab et Abihu moururent quand ils offrirent un feu étranger devant le SEIGNEUR.

 61 And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered strange fire before the LORD.

62 Et ceux des Lévites qui furent comptés, vingt-trois mille, tous mâles, depuis l’âge d’un mois et au-dessus ; car ils ne furent pas comptés avec les enfants d’Israël, parce qu’il ne leur fut pas donné d’héritage parmi les enfants d’Israël.

 62 And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all males from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.

63 ¶ Ceux-ci sont ceux qui furent comptés par Moïse et Eleazar ; le prêtre, qui comptèrent les enfants d’Israël dans les plaines de Moab, le long du Jourdain près de Jéricho ;

 63 ¶ These are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.

64 Mais parmi ceux-ci il n’y avait aucun de ceux qui avaient été comptés par Moïse et Aaron, le prêtre, quand ils comptèrent les enfants d’Israël dans le désert de Sinaï ;

 64 But among these there was not a man of them whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.

65 Car le SEIGNEUR avait dit d’eux : Ils mourront certainement dans le désert. Et il n’en resta pas un, excepté Caleb, le fils de (Jephunné), et Joshua (Josué), le fils de Nun.

 65 For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
