1 En toi, ô SEIGNEUR, je mets ma confiance: ne me laisse jamais être mis dans la confusion.

 1 In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.

2 Délivre-moi dans ta droiture, et fais-moi échapper: incline ton oreille vers moi, et sauve-moi.

 2 Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.

3 Sois ma solide habitation, où je puisse me rendre continuellement: tu as donné le commandement de me sauver; car tu es mon roc et ma forteresse.

 3 Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

4 Délivre-moi, ô mon Dieu, hors de la main de l’homme immoral, hors de la main de l’homme inique et cruel homme.

 4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

5 Car tu es mon espérance, ô Seigneur DIEU: tu es ma confiance depuis ma jeunesse.

 5 For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.

6 Par toi ai-je été soutenu depuis l’utérus: tu es celui qui m’as fait sortir des entrailles de ma mère: ma louange sera continuellement à ton sujet.

 6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother’s bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.

7 Je suis à beaucoup comme un émerveillement; mais tu es mon solide refuge.

 7 I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.

8 Que ma bouche soit remplie de ta louange et de ton honneur tout le long du jour.

 8 Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.

9 Ne me rejette pas au moment de la vieillesse; ne m’abandonne pas lorsque ma vigueur faiblit.

 9 Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

10 Car mes ennemis parlent contre moi; et ceux qui dressent des embûches pour mon âme prennent conseil ensemble,

 10 For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,

11 Disant: Dieu l’a abandonné: persécutez-le et prenez-le; car il n’y a personne pour le délivrer.

 11 Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.

12 Ô Dieu, ne sois pas loin de moi: ô mon Dieu, hâte-toi de venir à mon aide.

 12 O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.

13 Qu’ils soient déconcertés et consumés ceux qui sont les adversaires de mon âme; qu’ils soient couverts d’outrage et de déshonneur ceux qui cherchent à me blesser.

 13 Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

14 Mais j’espérerai continuellement, et cependant je te louerai de plus en plus.

 14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.

15 Ma bouche déclarera ta droiture et ton salut tout le long du jour; car je n’en connais pas le nombre.

 15 My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.

16 J’irai dans la vigueur du Seigneur DIEU: je ferai mention de ta droiture, c’est-à-dire de la tienne seulement.

 16 I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

17 Ô Dieu, tu m’as enseigné depuis ma jeunesse: et jusqu’ici ai-je déclaré tes prodigieuses œuvres.

 17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

18 À ce moment-là aussi lorsque je serai vieux, et avec des cheveux blancs, ô Dieu, ne m’abandonne pas, jusqu’à ce que j’aie montré ta vigueur à cette génération, et ton pouvoir à tous ceux qui sont à venir.

 18 Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.

19 Ta droiture aussi, ô Dieu, est très élevée, toi qui as fait de grandes choses: ô Dieu, qui est semblable à toi!

 19 Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!

20 Toi, qui m’as montré de grands et douloureux maux, tu me vivifieras de nouveau, et me feras remonter des profondeurs de la terre.

 20 Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

21 Tu accroîtras ma grandeur, et tu me réconforteras de tous côtés.

 21 Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.

22 Je te louerai aussi avec le psaltérion, c’est-à-dire ta vérité, ô mon Dieu: à toi chanterai-je avec la harpe, ô toi Seul Saint d’Israël.

 22 I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

23 Mes lèvres se réjouiront grandement lorsque je te chanterai; et mon âme laquelle tu as rachetée.

 23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

24 Ma langue aussi parlera de ta droiture tout le long du jour: car ils sont déconcertés, car ils sont amenés à la honte, ceux qui cherchent à me blesser.

 24 My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.
