1 Et il me montra une rivière pure d’eau de vie, claire comme du cristal, provenant du trône de Dieu et de l’Agneau.

 1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2 Au milieu de sa rue, et sur les deux bords de la rivière, il y avait l’arbre de vie, lequel portait douze sortes de fruits, et produisait son fruit chaque mois: et les feuilles de l’arbre étaient pour la guérison des nations.

 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

3 Et il n’y aura plus aucune malédiction: mais le trône de Dieu et de l’Agneau sera en elle; et ses serviteurs le serviront:

 3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

4 Et ils verront sa face; et son nom sera dans leurs fronts.

 4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

5 Et il n’y aura plus de nuit là; et ils n’auront pas besoin de bougie, ni de la lumière du soleil; car le Seigneur Dieu leur donne la lumière: et ils régneront pour toujours et à jamais.

 5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

6 Et il me dit: Ces dires sont fidèles et vrais: et le Seigneur Dieu des saints prophètes envoya son ange pour montrer à ses serviteurs les choses qui doivent bientôt être accomplies.

 6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

7 Voici, je viens rapidement: béni est celui qui garde les dires de la prophétie de ce livre.

 7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

8 Et moi Jean ai vu ces choses, et les ai entendues. Et lorsque j’eus entendu et vu, je tombai à terre pour adorer devant les pieds de l’ange qui me montrait ces choses.

 8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

9 Alors il me dit: Veille à ne pas le faire: car je suis ton compagnon de service, et de tes frères les prophètes, et de ceux qui gardent les dires de ce livre: adore Dieu.

 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

10 Et il me dit: Ne scelle pas les dires de la prophétie de ce livre: car le moment est à portée de la main.

 10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

11 Celui qui est injuste, qu’il reste injuste: et celui qui est souillé, qu’il reste souillé: et celui qui est droit, qu’il reste droit: et celui qui est saint, qu’il reste saint.

 11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12 Et, voici, je viens rapidement; et ma récompense est avec moi, pour donner à chaque homme selon ce que son œuvre sera.

 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13 Je suis Alpha et Oméga, le commencement et la fin, le premier et le dernier.

 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Bénis sont ceux qui font ses commandements, afin qu’ils puissent avoir droit à l’arbre de vie, et puissent entrer entrer franchissant les portails dans la ville.

 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 Car dehors sont les chiens, et les sorciers, et les proxénètes, et les meurtriers, et les idolâtres, et quiconque aime et dit un mensonge.

 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

16 Moi Jésus ai envoyé mon ange pour vous attester ces choses dans les églises. Je suis la racine et le descendant de David, et la brillante et étoile du matin.

 16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

17 Et l’Esprit et l’épouse disent: Viens. Et que celui qui entend, dise, Viens. Et que celui qui a soif vienne. Et quiconque le veut, qu’il prenne de l’eau de vie gratuitement.

 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

18 Car j’atteste à chaque homme qui entend les paroles de la prophétie de ce livre, Si quelqu’un ajoute à ces choses, Dieu lui ajoutera les plaies qui sont écrites dans ce livre:

 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 Et si quelqu’un retranche des mots du livre de cette prophétie, Dieu retranchera sa part du livre de vie, et de la sainte ville, et des choses qui sont écrites dans ce livre.

 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

20 Celui qui atteste ces choses, dit: Assurément je viens rapidement. Amen. Oui certainement, viens, Seigneur Jésus.

 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

21 La grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ soit avec vous tous. Amen.

 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
