1 Écoutez cette parole que je fait monter contre vous, à savoir une lamentation, ô maison d’Israël.
|
1 Hear ye this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel.
|
2 La vierge d’Israël est tombée, elle ne se relèvera plus ; elle est abandonnée sur sa terre, il n’y a personne pour la relever.
|
2 The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up.
|
3 Car ainsi dit le Seigneur DIEU à la maison d’Israël : La ville de laquelle il en sortait par millier, en aura cent de reste ; et celle de laquelle il en sortait cent, en aura dix de reste.
|
3 For thus saith the Lord GOD; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel.
|
4 ¶ Car ainsi dit le Seigneur à la maison d’Israël : Cherchez-moi, et vous vivrez ;
|
4 ¶ For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:
|
5 Mais ne cherchez pas Bethel, et n’entrez pas à Gilgal (Guilgal), et ne passez pas à Beersheba car Gilgal (Guilgal) sera certainement emmené en captivité, et Bethel sera réduite à rien.
|
5 But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beersheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought.
|
6 Cherchez le SEIGNEUR, et vous vivrez ; de peur qu’il n’éclate comme un feu sur la maison de Joseph, et ne la dévore, et qu’il y ait personne à Bethel pour l’éteindre.
|
6 Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel.
|
7 Vous qui changez le jugement en absinthe, et laissez à terre la rectitude,
|
7 Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,
|
8 Cherchez celui qui a fait les Pléiades et l’Orion, qui change en matin l’ombre de la mort, et qui fait devenir le jour obscur comme la nuit ; qui appelle les eaux de la mer, et les verse sur la surface de la terre : Le SEIGNEUR est son nom.
|
8 Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:
|
9 Qui renforce le spoliateur contre le fort, tellement que le spoliateur viendra contre la forteresse.
|
9 That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress.
|
10 Ils haïssent celui qui reprend à la porte, et ils ont en abomination celui qui parle avec intégrité.
|
10 They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.
|
11 C’est pourquoi parce que vous piétinez le pauvre, et que vous prenez de lui des charges de blé, vous avez bâti des maisons en pierres de taille, mais vous n’y demeurerez pas ; vous avez planté des vignes agréables, mais vous n’en boirez pas le vin.
|
11 Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.
|
12 Car je connais vos nombreuses transgressions, et vos immenses péchés ; ils oppriment le juste, ils soudoient, et ils rejettent à la porte le droit des pauvres.
|
12 For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.
|
13 C’est pourquoi l’homme prudent se taira en ce temps-là, car c’est un temps du mal.
|
13 Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.
|
14 Cherchez le bien et non le mal, afin que vous viviez, et ainsi le SEIGNEUR, le Dieu des armées, sera avec vous, comme vous l’avez dit.
|
14 Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.
|
15 Haïssez le mal, et aimez le bien, et établissez le jugement à la porte peut-être que le SEIGNEUR, le Dieu des armées, fera grâce envers le reste de Joseph.
|
15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
|
16 C’est pourquoi, le SEIGNEUR, le Dieu des armées, le Seigneur dit : ainsi la lamentation sera dans toutes les rues ; dans toutes les routes on dira. Hélas ! hélas ! Et on appellera au deuil le laboureur, et à la lamentation ceux qui sont habiles aux gémissements.

16 Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing.
|
17 Dans toutes les vignes, il y aura lamentation, car je passerai au milieu de toi, dit le SEIGNEUR.
|
17 And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD.
|
18 Malheur à ceux qui désirent le jour du SEIGNEUR ! À quoi vous servira-il ? Le jour du SEIGNEUR est obscurité, et non lumière ;
|
18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.
|
19 Comme si un homme s’enfuyait devant un lion, et qu’un ours le rencontre ; ou entrait dans la maison, et appuyait sa main sur le mur, et qu’un serpent le morde.
|
19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.
|
20 Le jour du SEIGNEUR, ne sera-t-il pas obscurité, et non lumière ? et même très obscur, et sans clarté ?
|
20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
|
21 ¶ Je hais, je méprise vos jours de fêtes ; je ne sentirai pas le parfum dans vos assemblées solennelles.
|
21 ¶ I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.
|
22 Même si vous m’offrez des offrandes consumées et vos offrandes de farine, je ne les accepterai pas, et je ne regarderai pas non plus vos offrandes de paix de vos bêtes grasses.
|
22 Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.
|
23 Ôte de moi le bruit de tes cantiques, car je n’écouterai pas la mélodie de tes violes.
|
23 Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.
|
24 Mais laisse le jugement couler comme les eaux, et la rectitude comme un torrent impétueux.
|
24 But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
|
25 M’avez-vous offert des sacrifices et des offrandes dans le désert pendant quarante ans, ô maison d’Israël ?
|
25 Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?
|
26 Mais vous avez porté le tabernacle de votre Moloch (Moloc) et Chiun (Kiun) vos images, l’étoile de votre dieu que vous vous êtes fait.
|
26 But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.
|
27 C’est pourquoi je ferai que vous irez en captivité au-delà de Damas, dit le SEIGNEUR, dont le nom est : Le Dieu des armées.
|
27 Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts.
