1 Tu ne verras pas le bœuf ou le mouton de ton frère s’égarer, et te cacher d’eux, mais tu les ramèneras en tout cas à ton frère.

 1 Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.

2 Et si ton frère n’est pas près de toi, ou si tu ne le connais pas, alors tu l’la bête amèneras dans ta maison ; et elle restera avec toi jusqu’à ce que ton frère vienne la chercher, et alors tu la lui rendras.

 2 And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.

3 Tu feras de même pour son âne, et tu feras de même pour son vêtement, et tu feras ainsi de toute chose que ton frère aura perdue et que tu auras trouvée ; tu ne pourras pas te cacher.

 3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother’s, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.

4 ¶ Tu ne verras pas l’âne de ton frère, ou son bœuf tombés le long du chemin, et te cacher d’eux ; certainement tu l’aideras à les relever.

 4 ¶ Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.

5 ¶ La femme ne portera pas ce qui appartient à un homme, et un homme ne se revêtira pas d’un vêtement de femme ; car tous ceux qui font ainsi, sont en abomination au SEIGNEUR ton Dieu.

 5 ¶ The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

6 ¶ Si un nid d’oiseau est par chance devant toi dans le chemin, sur quelque arbre, ou par terre, soit avec des petits ou des œufs, et la mère assise sur les petits ou sur es œufs, tu ne prendras pas la mère avec les petits ;

 6 ¶ If a bird’s nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:

7 Mais tu laisseras en tout cas aller la mère, et tu prendras les petits pour toi, afin que tout aille bien pour toi, et que tu puisses prolonger tes jours.

 7 But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.

8 ¶ Quand tu bâtiras une nouvelle maison, tu feras un garde-fou à ton toit, afin que tu ne mettes pas de sang sur ta maison, si quelqu’un tombait de là.

 8 ¶ When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.

9 ¶ Tu ne planteras pas ta vigne de diverses semences, de peur que le fruit de ta semence, et le fruit de ta vigne, ne soit pollué.

 9 ¶ Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.

10 ¶ Tu ne laboureras pas avec un bœuf et un âne attelés ensemble.

 10 ¶ Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.

11 ¶ Tu ne te vêtiras pas d’un vêtement de tissu mélangé, c’est-à-dire de laine et de lin ensemble.

 11 ¶ Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.

12 ¶ Tu te feras des franges aux quatre pans de ton vêtement dont tu te couvres.

 12 ¶ Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.

13 ¶ Si un homme a pris une femme, et est allé vers elle, et qu’il la haïsse,

 13 ¶ If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,

14 Et donne l’occasion de parler contre elle, et fait venir une mauvaise réputation sur elle, et dit : J’ai pris cette femme, et quand je suis allé vers elle, je ne l’ai pas trouvée vierge ;

 14 And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:

15 Alors le père de la jeune fille et sa mère prendront et produiront les indices de la virginité de la jeune fille aux anciens de la ville, à la porte ;

 15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel’s virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:

16 Et le père de la jeune fille dira aux anciens : J’ai donné ma fille à cet homme pour femme, et il l’a hait ;

 16 And the damsel’s father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;

17 Et voici, il profite de l’occasion de parler d’elle, disant : Je n’ai pas trouvé ta fille vierge ; et cependant voici les indices de la virginité de ma fille. Et ils étendront le drap devant les anciens de la ville.

 17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’s virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.

18 Et les anciens de cette ville prendront l’homme, et le châtieront.

 18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;

19 Et ils le condamneront à une amende de cent shekels d’argent, et les donneront au père de la jeune fille, parce qu’il a fait venir une mauvaise réputation sur une vierge d’Israël ; et elle sera sa femme, il ne pourra pas la répudier, durant tous ses jours.

 19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.

20 Mais si cette chose est vraie, et que les indices de virginité n’ont pas été trouvés chez la jeune fille

 20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:

21 Alors ils feront sortir la jeune fille à la porte de la maison de son père, et les hommes de sa ville la lapideront avec des pierres, et elle mourra ; parce qu’elle a commis une folie en Israël en se prostituant dans la maison de son père ; ainsi tu ôteras le mal du milieu de toi.

 21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.

22 ¶ Si un homme est trouvé couché avec une femme mariée à un mari, alors ils mourront tous deux, l’homme qui a couché avec la femme, et la femme ; ainsi tu ôteras le mal d’Israël.

 22 ¶ If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.

23 ¶ Si une jeune fille qui est vierge et fiancée à un mari et qu’un homme la trouve dans la ville, et couche avec elle,

 23 ¶ If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;

24 Alors vous les ferez sortir tous deux à la porte de cette ville, et vous les lapiderez avec des pierres, et ils mourront ; la jeune fille, parce qu’elle n’a pas crié étant dans la ville, et l’homme, parce qu’il a humilié la femme de son voisin ; ainsi tu ôteras le mal du milieu de vous.

 24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

25 ¶ Mais si un homme trouve dans les champs une jeune fille fiancée, et que, l’homme la force, et couche avec elle, alors seul l’homme qui aura couché avec elle, mourra ;

 25 ¶ But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:

26 Mais à la jeune fille tu ne feras rien ; il n’y a en la jeune fille aucun péché digne de mort, car c’est comme si un homme s’élevait contre son voisin et le tuait ; ainsi est ce cas.

 26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:

27 Car il l’a trouvée dans les champs, et la jeune fille fiancée a crié, et il n’y avait personne pour la sauver.

 27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.

28 ¶ Si un homme trouve une jeune fille qui est vierge, qui n’est pas fiancée, et qu’il la saisisse et couche avec elle, et qu’ils soient trouvés ;

 28 ¶ If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;

29 Alors l’homme qui aura couché avec elle donnera au père de la jeune fille cinquante shekels d’argent, et elle sera sa femme, parce qu’il l’a humiliée ; il ne pourra pas la répudier durant tous ses jours.

 29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

30 Un homme ne prendra pas la femme de son père, ni ne découvrira le pan de robe de son père.

 30 ¶ A man shall not take his father’s wife, nor discover his father’s skirt.
