1 Celui qui a les testicules meurtris, ou a son membre viril privé coupé, n’entrera pas dans la congrégation du SEIGNEUR.

 1 He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

2 Un bâtard n’entrera pas dans la congrégation du SEIGNEUR ; même sa dixième génération n’entrera pas dans la congrégation du SEIGNEUR.

 2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.

3 Un Ammonite ou un Moabite n’entreront pas dans la congrégation du SEIGNEUR ; même leur dixième génération n’entrera pas dans la congrégation du SEIGNEUR, à toujours ;

 3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:

4 Parce qu’ils ne sont pas venus à votre rencontre avec du pain et de l’eau dans le chemin, quand vous sortiez d’Égypte, et parce qu’ils ont soudoyé contre toi Balaam, le fils de Beor, de Pethor en Mésopotamie, pour te maudire.

 4 Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

5 Néanmoins le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu ne voulut pas écouter Balaam ; mais le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu changea pour toi la malédiction en bénédiction, parce que le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu t’a aimé.

 5 Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.

6 Tu ne chercheras ni leur paix ni leur prospérité, durant tous tes jours, et à toujours.

 6 Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.

7 ¶ Tu n’auras pas en abomination l’Edomite ; car il est ton frère ; tu n’auras pas en abomination l’Égyptien ; parce que tu as été un étranger dans sa terre ;

 7 ¶ Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.

8 Les enfants qui auront engendrés, à la troisième génération, entreront dans la congrégation du SEIGNEUR.

 8 The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.

9 ¶ Quand l’armée ira contre tes ennemis, garde-toi alors de toute chose mauvaise.

 9 ¶ When the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.

10 S’il y a quelqu’homme parmi vous qui ne soit pas net, à cause de quelque souillure qui lui soit arrivée de nuit, il sortira hors du camp, il n’entrera pas dans le camp ;

 10 ¶ If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:

11 Mais il arrivera, quand le soir viendra, qu’ il se lavera avec de l’eau, et quand le soleil sera couché, il entrera dans le camp à nouveau.

 11 But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.

12 ¶ Tu auras aussi un lieu, hors du camp, où tu sortiras dehors ;

 12 ¶ Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:

13 Et tu auras une bêche en plus de tes armes ; et quand tu voudras te soulager dehors, tu t’en serviras pour creuser, puis tu t’en retourneras et tu couvriras ce qui sera sorti de toi.

 13 And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:

14 Car le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu marche au milieu de ton camp pour te délivrer, et pour livrer tes ennemis devant toi ; c’est pourquoi ton camp sera saint, afin qu’il ne voie chez toi aucune chose souillée, et qu’il ne se détourne de toi.

 14 For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.

15 ¶ Tu ne livreras pas à son maître le serviteur qui se sera échappé chez toi de chez son maître ;

 15 ¶ Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:

16 Il demeurera avec toi, et même parmi vous, dans ce lieu qu’il choisira dans l’une de tes portes, où bon lui semble ; tu ne l’opprimeras pas.

 16 He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.

17 ¶ Il n’y aura pas de prostituée parmi les filles d’Israël, ni de sodomite parmi les fils d’Israël.

 17 ¶ There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

18 Tu n’apporteras pas dans la maison du SEIGNEUR ton Dieu pour aucun vœu, le salaire d’une prostituée, ni le prix d’un chien ; car tous les deux sont en abomination au SEIGNEUR ton Dieu.

 18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

19 ¶ Tu ne prêteras pas avec intérêt à ton frère, soit intérêt d’argent, soit intérêt de vivres, soit intérêt de quelque autre chose qu’on prête avec intérêt.

 19 ¶ Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:

20 Tu pourras prêter avec intérêt à l’étranger, mais tu ne prêteras pas avec intérêt à ton frère ; afin que le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu te bénisse en tout ce à quoi tu mets la main, dans la terre où tu entres pour la posséder.

 20 Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

21 ¶ Quand tu feras un vœu au SEIGNEUR ton Dieu, tu ne tarderas pas de l’acquitter ; car le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu te le requerra assurément ; et il y aurait péché en toi

 21 ¶ When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.

22 Mais si tu t’abstiens de faire un vœu, il n’y aura pas de péché en toi.

 22 But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.

23 Ce qui sort de tes lèvres, tu l’observeras et l’accompliras : c’est-à dire une offrande volontaire, ainsi que tu l’auras vouée au SEIGNEUR ton Dieu, que tu auras promise de ta bouche.

 23 That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.

24 ¶ Quand tu entreras dans la vigne de ton voisin, tu pourras manger des raisins pour te rassasier autant que tu le désires, mais tu n’en mettras pas dans ton récipient.

 24 ¶ When thou comest into thy neighbour’s vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.

25 Quand tu entreras dans les champs de grains de ton voisin, tu pourras alors arracher des épis avec ta main ; mais tu ne mettras pas la faucille dans les grains de ton voisin.

 25 When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour’s standing corn.
