1 Et il arrivera, quand tu seras entré dans la terre que le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu te donne en héritage, et que tu la posséderas et y demeureras,

 1 And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;

2 Tu prendras des premiers de tous les fruits de la terre que tu récolteras de la terre que le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu te donne, tu les mettras dans un panier, et tu iras au lieu que le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu aura choisi pour y placer son nom ;

 2 That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there.

3 Et tu viendras vers le prêtre qui sera en ces jours-là, et tu lui diras : Je déclare aujourd’hui au SEIGNEUR ton Dieu, que je suis parvenu dans le pays que le SEIGNEUR avait juré à nos pères de nous donner.

 3 And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us.

4 Et le prêtre prendra le panier de ta main, et le posera devant l’autel du SEIGNEUR ton Dieu.

 4 And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.

5 Et tu parleras, et diras, devant le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu : Mon père était un Syrien prêt à périr ; et il descendit en Égypte, et y séjourna avec un petit nombre de personnes, et y devint une nation grande, puissante et nombreuse.

 5 And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:

6 Et les méchants Égyptiens nous maltraitèrent, et nous affligèrent et nous imposèrent une dure servitude ;

 6 And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

7 Et quand nous avons crié au SEIGNEUR Dieu de nos pères, le SEIGNEUR entendit notre voix, et regarda notre affliction, et notre labeur et notre oppression.

 7 And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

8 Et le SEIGNEUR nous tira hors d’Égypte, avec une main puissante et avec un bras étendu, et avec une grande terreur, et avec des signes et des prodiges.

 8 And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

9 Et il nous amena en ce lieu, et nous donna cette terre, à savoir une terre qui ruisselle de lait et de miel.

 9 And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

10 Et maintenant, voici, j’ai apporté les premiers fruits de la terre que toi, ô SEIGNEUR, m’as donnée. Et tu le poseras devant le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu, et tu adoreras devant le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu ;

 10 And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God:

11 Et tu te réjouiras, de toute bonne chose que le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu t’aura donnée et à ta maison, toi, et le Lévite, et l’étranger qui est parmi vous.

 11 And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.

12 ¶ Quand tu auras achevé de lever toute la dîme de ton rendement, la troisième année, qui est l’année de la dîme, tu la donneras au Levite, à l’étranger, à l’orphelin et à la veuve, afin qu’ils puissent manger dans tes portes, et qu’ils soient rassasiés ;

 12 ¶ When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

13 Alors tu diras devant le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu : J’ai ôté de ma maison les choses saintes ; et je l’ai donné au Levite, à l’étranger, à l’orphelin et à la veuve, selon tous tes commandements que tu m’as commandés ; je n’ai rien transgressé de tes commandements, ni ne les ai oubliés non plus.

 13 Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them:

14 Je n’en ai pas mangé dans mon deuil, je n’en ai rien ôté pour l’appliquer à quelque usage souillé, et je n’en ai pas donné non plus pour le mort ; mais j’ai obéi à la voix du SEIGNEUR mon Dieu, et j’ai fait selon tout ce que tu m’as commandé.

 14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.

15 Regarde de ta sainte habitation, du ciel, et bénis ton peuple Israël et la terre que tu nous as donnée, comme tu l’as juré à nos pères, une terre qui ruisselle de lait et de miel.

 15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

16 ¶ Aujourd’hui le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu t’a commandé de faire ces statuts et ces jugements ; c’est pourquoi tu les garderas et les feras de tout ton cœur et de toute ton âme.

 16 ¶ This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

17 Tu as déclaré aujourd’hui le SEIGNEUR afin qu’il soit ton Dieu, et que tu marches selon ses chemins, et que tu gardes ses statuts, ses commandements et ses jugements, et que tu écoutes sa voix.

 17 Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

18 Et le SEIGNEUR t’a déclaré aujourd’hui, que tu seras son peuple à part, comme il te l’a promis ; et que tu devras garder tous ses commandements ;

 18 And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

19 Et qu’il te rendra haut élevé, en louange, et en nom et en honneur, au-dessus de toutes les nations qu’il a faites afin que tu puisses être un peuple saint au SEIGNEUR ton Dieu, comme il l’a dit.

 19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.
