1 Tu ne répandras pas de fausse rumeur ; ne joint pas ta main avec le pernicieux pour être un témoin partial.

 1 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

2 Tu ne suivras pas la multitude pour faire le mal ; tu ne déposeras non plus dans un procès en penchant avec le plus grand nombre afin de fausser le jugement.

 2 ¶ Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

3 ¶ Tu ne favoriseras pas non plus le pauvre dans son procès.

 3 ¶ Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.

4 ¶ Si tu rencontres le bœuf de ton ennemi ou son âne, égaré, tu ne manqueras pas de le lui ramener.

 4 ¶ If thou meet thine enemy’s ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.

5 Si tu vois l’âne de celui qui te hait gisant sous son fardeau, tu t’arrêteras pour le secourir ; tu ne manqueras certainement pas de l’aider.

 5 If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.

6 Tu ne fausseras pas le jugement de ton pauvre dans son procès.

 6 Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.

7 Tiens-toi éloigné d’une affaire mensongère ; et tu ne tueras pas l’innocent ni l’homme droit, car je ne justifierai pas le méchant.

 7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

8 ¶ Et tu n’accepteras pas de don, car le don aveugle les hommes sages et pervertit les paroles des hommes droits.

 8 ¶ And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

9 ¶ Tu n’opprimeras pas non plus l’étranger ; car vous connaissez le cœur d’un étranger, puisque vous avez été étrangers dans le pays d’Égypte.

 9 ¶ Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

10 Pendant six années, tu sèmeras ta terre et tu en recueilleras les fruits ;

 10 And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:

11 Mais la septième année tu la mettras en jachère et la laisseras reposer ; afin que les pauvres de ton peuple puissent manger, et ce qu’ils laisseront, les bêtes des champs le mangeront. Tu en feras de même de ta vigne et de tes oliviers.

 11 But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.

12 Pendant six jours tu feras ton travail, et au septième jour tu te reposeras, afin que ton bœuf et ton âne puissent se reposer et que le fils de ta servante et l’étranger puissent se délasser.

 12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

13 Et en toutes les choses que je vous ai dites soyez prudents ; et ne mentionnez pas le nom des dieux étrangers ; on ne l’entendra pas non plus sortir de ta bouche.

 13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

14 ¶ Trois fois par an tu me célébreras une fête.

 14 ¶ Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.

15 Tu célébreras la fête du pain sans levain : (tu mangeras du pain sans levain pendant sept jours, comme je te l’ai commandé, au temps fixé du mois d’Abib, car en ce mois-là tu es sorti d’Égypte ; et personne ne paraîtra les mains vides devant moi) ;

 15 Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

16 Et la fête de la moisson des premiers fruits de tes labeurs, de ce que tu auras semé dans les champs ; et la fête de la récolte, qui est à la fin de l’année, lorsque tu auras recueilli tes ouvrages des champs.

 16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

17 Trois fois par an tous tes mâles paraîtront devant le Seigneur DIEU.

 17 Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.

18 Tu n’offriras pas le sang de mon sacrifice avec du pain levé ; et la graisse de mon sacrifice ne passera pas non plus la nuit jusqu’au matin.

 18 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.

19 Tu apporteras les prémices des premiers fruits de la terre à la maison du SEIGNEUR ton Dieu. Tu ne bouilliras pas le chevreau dans le lait de sa mère.

 19 The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.

20 ¶ Voici, j’envoie un Ange devant toi, pour te garder dans le chemin et pour t’amener au lieu que j’ai préparé.

 20 ¶ Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

21 Fais attention à lui et obéis à sa voix, ne le provoque pas ; car il ne pardonnera pas vos transgressions, car mon nom est en lui.

 21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

22 Mais si, en effet, tu obéis à sa voix et fais tout ce que je dirai, je serai l’ennemi de tes ennemis et l’adversaire de tes adversaires ;

 22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

23 Car mon Ange ira devant toi et t’amènera chez les Amorites (Amoréens), les Hittites (Héthiens), les Perizzites (Phérésiens), les Canaanites (Cananéens), les Hivites (Héviens) et les Jebusites (Jébusiens) et je les retrancherai.

 23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.

24 Tu ne t’inclineras pas devant leurs dieux, tu ne les serviras pas non plus et tu ne feras pas non plus leurs œuvres ; mais tu les détruiras complètement et tu briseras entièrement leurs statues.

 24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

25 Et vous servirez le SEIGNEUR votre Dieu et il bénira ton pain et ton eau ; et j’ôterai la maladie du milieu de toi.

 25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

26 ¶ Il n’y aura aucune femme qui avorte ou qui soit stérile en ta terre ; j’accomplirai le nombre de tes jours.

 26 ¶ There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

27 J’enverrai ma frayeur devant toi et je détruirai tout le peuple chez lequel tu arriveras et je ferai tous tes ennemis tourner leur dos devant toi.

 27 I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

28 Et j’enverrai les frelons devant toi, et ils chasseront les Hivites (Héviens), les Canaanites (Cananéens) et les Hittites (Héthiens) de devant toi.

 28 And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.

29 Je ne les chasserai pas de devant toi en une année, de peur que le pays ne devienne dévasté, et que les bêtes des champs ne se multiplient contre toi ;

 29 I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.

30 Mais petit à petit je les chasserai de devant toi, jusqu’à ce que tu croisses en nombre, et que tu hérites la terre.

 30 By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.

31 Et j’établirai tes limites depuis la mer Rouge jusqu’à la mer des Philistines, (Philistins) et depuis le désert jusqu’au fleuve ; car je livrerai les habitants du pays en votre main et tu les chasseras de devant toi.

 31 And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.

32 Tu ne feras aucune alliance avec eux, ni avec leurs dieux.

 32 Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

33 Ils ne demeureront pas dans ta terre, de peur qu’ils ne te fassent pécher contre moi ; car si tu sers leurs dieux, cela serait certainement un piège pour toi.

 33 They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.
