1 Et toi, Fils d’homme, prends un couteau tranchant, prends un rasoir de barbier ; et fais-le passer sur ta tête et sur ta barbe : puis prends des balances à peser, et répartis les cheveux.

 1 And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber’s razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair.

2 Tu en brûleras un tiers avec le feu, au milieu de la ville, lorsque les jours du siège seront accomplis : et tu en prendras un tiers, tu les frapperas avec un couteau tout autour ; et la troisième partie tu la disperseras dans le vent, et je tirerai l'épée après eux.

 2 Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.

3 Et tu en prendras un petit nombre, et tu les lieras dans les pans;

 3 Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.

4 Et de ceux-là tu en prendras encore quelques-uns, et tu les jetteras au milieu du feu et les brûleras dans le feu ; il en sortira un feu contre toute la maison d'Israël.

 4 Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire; for thereof shall a fire come forth into all the house of Israel.

5 ¶ Ainsi dit le Seigneur DIEU: Ceci est Jérusalem : je l'ai placée au milieu des nations et des pays qui sont autour d'elle.

 5 ¶ Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.

6 Et elle a changé mes jugements en méchanceté plus que les nations, et mes statuts plus que les pays qui autour d'elle ; car ils ont rejeté mes jugements et n'ont pas marché selon eux.

 6 And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.

7 Par conséquent ainsi dit le Seigneur DIEU: Parce que vous avez multiplié plus que les nations qui sont autour de vous, et n'avez pas marché dans mes statuts, ni n'avez gardé mes jugements, ni n'avez fait selon les jugements des nations qui sont autour de vous;

 7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;

8 Par conséquent, ainsi dit le Seigneur DIEU ; Voici, je, c’est-à-dire je suis contre toi, et j'exécuterai des jugements au milieu de toi, à la vue des nations.

 8 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.

9 Et je ferai en toi ce que je n'ai pas fait et tels que je n'en ferai jamais de semblables, à cause de toutes tes abominations.

 9 And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.

10 C'est pourquoi les pères mangeront les fils au milieu de toi, et les fils mangeront leurs pères ; et j'exécuterai jugements en toi, et je disperserai à tous les vents tout ce qui restera de toi.

 10 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.

11 C'est pourquoi, comme je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur DIEU : Assurément, parce que tu as souillé mon sanctuaire avec toutes tes détestables choses, et avec toutes tes abominations, par conséquent, je vais aussi te diminuer ; mon œil ne t'épargnera pas non plus, ni ne vais-je avoir aucune pitié.

 11 Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.

12 ¶ Un tiers d'entre vous mourra de la pestilence, et par la famine seront-ils consumé au milieu de toi: et un tiers tombera par l'épée tout autour de toi ; et je vais disperser un tiers à tous les vents, et je vais tirer une épée après eux.

 12 ¶ A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

13 Ainsi ma colère sera accompli, et je ferai ma fureur reposer sur eux, et je serai réconforté: et ils sauront que moi, le SEIGNEUR l'ai dit dans a mon zèle lorsque j'aurai accompli ma fureur sur eux.

 13 Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.

14 De plus je ferai de toi une ruine, et un outrage parmi les nations qui sont tout autour de toi, à la vue de tous ceux qui passent par là.

 14 Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by.

15 Ainsi ce sera un outrage et un persiflage, une instruction et un étonnement envers les nations qui sont autour de toi, lorsque j'exécuterai des jugements en toi avec colère, et avec fureur, et par de furieux reproches. Moi le SEIGNEUR l’ai dit.

 15 So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.

16 Lorsque j'enverrai sur eux les funestes flèches de la famine, lesquelles seront pour leur destruction, et lesquelles je vais envoyer pour vous détruire : et je vais augmenter la famine sur vous, et je vais rompre votre soutien du pain :

 16 When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:

17 Ainsi je vais envoyer sur vous la famine et des bêtes malfaisantes, et elles te déposséderont ; et la pestilence et le sang passeront à travers toi ; et je vais faire venir l'épée sur toi. Moi, le SEIGNEUR l’ai dit.

 17 So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.
