1 Et la parole du SEIGNEUR vint à moi, disant :

 1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2 Fils de l’homme, dresse ta face vers les montagnes d'Israël, et prophétise contre elles.

 2 Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,

3 Et dit, Vous montagnes d'Israël, écoutez la parole du Seigneur DIEU: Ainsi dit le Seigneur DIEU aux montagnes et aux collines, aux rivières et aux vallées: Voici, moi, moi, je vais faire venir une épée sur vous, et je vais détruire vos hauts lieux.

 3 And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

4 Et vos autels seront dévastés, et vos statues seront brisées: et je jetterais à terre vos hommes tués devant vos idoles.

 4 And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.

5 Et je mettrai les cadavres des enfants d'Israël devant leurs idoles ; et je disperserai vos ossements autour de vos autels.

 5 And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

6 Dans tous les lieux où vous demeurerez les villes seront en ruines et les hauts lieux seront dévastés ; afin que vos autels puissent être en ruines et délaissés, et que vos idoles puissent être brisées et ne soient plus, et que vos statues puissent être démolies, et vos ouvrages puissent être abolis.

 6 In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

7 Et les tués tomberont au milieu de vous, et vous saurez que je suis le SEIGNEUR.

 7 And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

8 ¶ Toutefois je laisserai un reste, afin que vous ayez rescapés de l'épée parmi les nations, quand vous serez dispersés parmi les pays.

 8 ¶ Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.

9 Et ceux qui se seront échappés de vous se souviendront de moi, parmi les nations où ils seront emmenés captifs, parce que je suis brisé par leur cœur prostitué, lequel s'est détourné de moi, et avec leurs yeux, lesquels se sont prostitués après leurs idoles : et ils se détesteront en eux-mêmes pour tous les maux qu'ils auront commis dans toutes leurs abominations.

 9 And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

10 Et ils sauront que je suis le SEIGNEUR, et que je n'ai pas parlé en vain lorsque je leur ferais ce mal-ci.

 10 And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

11 ¶ Ainsi dit le Seigneur DIEU: Frappe de ta main, et bats de ton pied, et dis, Hélas, pour toutes les malfaisantes abominations de la maison d'Israël ! car ils tomberont par l'épée, par la famine et par la pestilence.

 11 ¶ Thus saith the Lord GOD; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

12 Celui qui est loin mourra de la pestilence ; et celui qui est près tombera par l'épée, et celui qui reste et est assiégé mourra par la famine ; ainsi j'accomplirai ma fureur sur eux.

 12 He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.

13 Et vous saurez que je suis le SEIGNEUR, lorsque leurs hommes tués seront parmi leurs idoles, tout autour de leurs autels, sur chaque haute colline, sur tous les sommets des montagnes, et sous chaque arbre vert, et sous chaque chêne touffu, le lieu où ils offraient un parfum d'agréable odeur à toutes leurs idoles.

 13 Then shall ye know that I am the LORD, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.

14 J'étendrai donc ma main sur eux, et je rendrai le pays dévasté, oui, plus dévasté que le désert de Diblath (Dibla), dans toutes leurs habitations ; et ils sauront que je suis le SEIGNEUR.

 14 So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
