1 Ensuite il me ramena vers l'entrée de la maison ; et voici, des eaux sortaient sous le seuil de la maison, du côté est ; car la façade de la maison se tenait vers l’Est, et ces eaux descendaient de dessous du côté droit de la maison, au côté sud de l'autel.

 1 Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.

2 Puis il me fit sortir par le chemin de la porte du Nord, et me conduisit par le chemin du dehors vers la porte extérieure, par le chemin qui regarde l’Est ; et voici, les eaux coulaient du côté droit.

 2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

3 Et quand l'homme qui tenait un cordeau en sa main, s'avança vers l’Est, il mesura mille coudées, et il me fit passer au travers des eaux, les eaux venaient jusqu'aux chevilles.

 3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

4 Il mesura encore mille coudées, et me fit traverser les eaux, les eaux venaient jusqu'aux genoux. De nouveau il mesura un millier, et me fit traverser ; les eaux venaient jusqu'aux reins.

 4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.

5 Ensuite il mesura un millier et c'était une rivière que je ne pouvais traverser ; car les eaux étaient montées, des eaux où il fallait nager, une rivière qu'on ne pouvait traverser.

 5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

6 ¶ Alors il me dit : Fils de l’homme, as-tu vu cela ? Puis il me fit aller et revenir vers le bord de la rivière.

 6 ¶ And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.

7 Or quand j'y suis retourné, voici, sur le bord de la rivière il y avait un très grand nombre d'arbres d'un côté et de l'autre.

 7 Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.

8 Puis il me dit ces eaux sortent vers la contrée Est, et descendent dans le désert, et vont dans la mer ; étant conduites dans la mer, les eaux seront saines.

 8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

9 Et il arrivera, que tout être vivant qui se meut, vivra partout où les rivières arriveront, et il y aura une très grande multitude de poissons, puisque ces eaux arriveront là, car elles seront saines, et tout vivra où arrivera la rivière.

 9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

10 Et il arrivera que les pêcheurs se tiendront dessus la mer depuis Engedi (En-Guédi) jusqu'à Eneglaim ; ce sera un lieu pour étendre les filets ; leur poisson sera chacun selon son espèce, comme le poisson de la grande mer, extrêmement nombreux.

 10 And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

11 Mais ses lieux bourbeux et ses marais ne seront pas assainis ; ils seront abandonnés au sel.

 11 But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.

12 Et près de la rivière, sur son bord, d'un côté et de l'autre côté, grandiront des arbres pleins de nourriture, dont le feuillage ne se flétrira pas, et dont le fruit ne manquera pas ; ils produiront un nouveau fruit selon leurs mois, parce que ses eaux sortent du sanctuaire ; et leur fruit sera comme nourriture, et leur feuillage comme médicament.

 12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

13 ¶ Ainsi dit le Seigneur DIEU : Ce sera la frontière par laquelle vous hériterez du pays selon les douze tribus d'Israël ; Joseph aura deux portions.

 13 ¶ Thus saith the Lord GOD; This shall be the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

14 Et vous l'hériterez l'un comme l'autre, le pays au sujet duquel j'ai promis la main levée, de le donner à vos pères, et ce pays-là vous tombera en héritage.

 14 And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: concerning the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.

15 Et ce sera ici la frontière du pays du côté nord depuis la grande mer, le chemin de Hethlon, quand on va à Zedad,

 15 And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;

16 Hamath, Berothah, et Sibraim, qui est entre la frontière de Damas et la frontière de Hamath, Hazarhatticon, qui est près de la côte de Havran ;

 16 Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazarhatticon, which is by the coast of Hauran.

17 Et la frontière depuis la mer, sera Hazarenan, la frontière de Damas, et le Nord, vers le Nord, et la frontière de Hamath. Et c'est là le côté nord.

 17 And the border from the sea shall be Hazarenan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side.

18 Mais vous mesurerez le côté est depuis Hauran, et depuis Damas, et depuis Gilead (Galaad) et depuis la terre d'Israël, le long du Jourdain ; depuis la frontière jusqu'à la mer orientale. Et c'est le côté est.

 18 And the east side ye shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel by Jordan, from the border unto the east sea. And this is the east side.

19 Et le côté sud vers le Sud, depuis Tamar c’est-à-dire jusqu'aux eaux de contestation à Kadesh, la rivière jusqu'à la grande mer. Et c'est là le côté sud, vers le Sud.

 19 And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.

20 Le côté ouest aussi sera la grande mer, depuis la frontière jusqu'en face de Hamath. C'est le côté ouest.

 20 The west side also shall be the great sea from the border, till a man come over against Hamath. This is the west side.

21 Vous partagerez ainsi ce pays entre vous, selon les tribus d'Israël ;

 21 So shall ye divide this land unto you according to the tribes of Israel.

22 ¶ Et il adviendra que vous le diviserez par lot, comme un héritage, à vous et aux étrangers qui séjournent parmi vous et qui engendreront des enfants parmi vous ; et iIs seront pour vous comme nés dans le pays parmi les enfants d'Israël ; ils auront avec vous l'héritage parmi les tribus d'Israël.

 22 ¶ And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

23 Et il arrivera que dans la tribu dans laquelle l'étranger séjourne, là vous lui donnerez son héritage, dit le Seigneur DIEU.

 23 And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord GOD.
