1 Dieu, qui plusieurs fois et de diverses manières a parlé dans le temps passé aux pères par les prophètes,
|
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
|
2 Nous a en ces derniers jours parlé par son Fils, qu’il a institué héritier de toutes choses, par qui aussi il a fait les mondes;
|
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
|
3 Qui étant la brillance de sa gloire, et l’image formelle de sa personne, et soutenant toutes choses par la parole de son pouvoir, lorsqu’il a par lui-même purger nos péchés, s’est assis à la main droite de la Majesté dans les hauteurs;
|
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
|
4 Étant fait beaucoup plus meilleur que les anges, puisqu’il a par patrimoine obtenu un plus excellent nom qu’eux.
|
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
|
5 Car auquel des anges a-t-il jamais dit, Tu es mon Fils, aujourd’hui je t’ai engendré? Et encore, Je serai pour lui un Père, et il sera pour moi un Fils?
|
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
|
6 Et encore, quand il introduit le premier engendré dans le monde, il dit, Et que tous les anges de Dieu l’adorent.
|
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
|
7 Et des anges, il dit, Qui fait de ses anges des esprits, et de ses ministres une flamme de feu.
|
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
|
8 Mais au Fils il dit, Ton trône, Ô Dieu, est pour toujours et toujours: un sceptre de droiture est le sceptre de ton royaume.
|
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
|
9 Tu as aimé la droiture, et haï l’iniquité; par conséquent Dieu, c’est-à-dire ton Dieu, t’a oint avec l’huile de gaieté au-dessus de tes semblables.
|
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
|
10 Et, Toi, Seigneur, au commencement, as posé la fondation de la terre; et les cieux sont les œuvres de tes mains:
|
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
|
11 Ils périront; mais toi, tu demeures; et ils deviendront tous vieux comme le devient un vêtement;
|
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
|
12 Et comme une vesture tu les plieras, et ils seront changés: mais tu es le même, et tes années ne failliront pas.
|
12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
|
13 Mais auquel des anges a-t-il déjà dit, Assieds-toi à ma main droite, jusqu’à ce que j’aie fait de tes ennemis ton marchepied?
|
13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
|
14 Ne sont-ils pas tous des esprits servants, envoyés pour servir ceux qui seront héritiers du salut?
|
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
