1 Or des choses dont nous avons parlé, en voici le sommaire: Nous avons un tel grand prêtre, qui est placé à la main droite du trône de la Majesté dans les cieux;
|
1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
|
2 Un ministre du sanctuaire, et du vrai tabernacle, que le Seigneur a dressé, et non pas l’homme.
|
2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
|
3 Car tout grand prêtre est ordonné pour offrir des dons et des sacrifices: c’est pourquoi il est nécessaire que cet homme ait aussi quelque chose à offrir.
|
3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
|
4 Car s’il était sur la terre, il ne serait pas prêtre, puisqu’il y a des prêtres qui offrent les dons selon la loi:
|
4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
|
5 Qui servent en tant qu’exemple et ombre des choses célestes, comme Moïse fut averti par Dieu lorsqu’il était sur le point de faire le tabernacle: car, Aie soin, dit-il, à ce que tu fasses toutes choses selon le modèle qui t’a été montré sur le mont.
|
5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
|
6 Mais maintenant il a obtenu un ministère plus excellent, d’autant plus aussi qu’il est le médiateur d’une meilleure alliance, laquelle a été établie sur de meilleures promesses.
|
6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
|
7 Car si la première alliance avait été sans faute, alors il n’y aurait pas eu lieu d’avoir cherché la seconde.
|
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
|
8 Car trouvant faute en eux, il dit, Voici, les jours viennent, dit le Seigneur, lorsque je ferai une nouvelle alliance avec la maison d’Israël, et avec la maison de Judah:
|
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
|
9 Non selon l’alliance que j’ai faite avec leurs pères au jour où je les pris par la main pour les conduire hors du pays d’Égypte; parce qu’ils n’ont pas continué dans mon alliance, et je n’eus pas d’égard pour eux, dit le Seigneur.
|
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
|
10 Car c’est ici l’alliance que je ferai avec la maison d’Israël après ces jours-là, dit le Seigneur; Je mettrai mes lois dans leur cerveau, et les écrirai dans leurs cœurs: et je leur serai un Dieu, et ils me seront un peuple:
|
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
|
11 Et ils n’enseigneront plus chaque homme son voisin, et chaque homme son frère, disant, Connais le Seigneur: car tous me connaîtront, depuis le plus petit jusqu’au plus grand.
|
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
|
12 Car je serai miséricordieux à l’égard de leur injustice, et de leurs péchés et de leurs iniquités je ne me souviendrai plus jamais.
|
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
|
13 Puisqu’il dit, Une nouvelle alliance, il a rendu la première désuète. Or ce qui se détériore et devient vieux est prêt à disparaître.
|
13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
