1 La parole qu’Isaiah (Ésaïe), le fils d'Amoz (Amots), vit concernant Judah (Juda) et Jérusalem.
|
1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
|
2 Et il arrivera, dans les derniers jours, que la montagne de la maison du SEIGNEUR sera établie sur le sommet des montagnes, et sera élevée au-dessus des collines ; et toutes les nations y afflueront.
|
2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
|
3 Et beaucoup de personnes viendront et diront : Venez et montons à la montagne du SEIGNEUR, à la maison du Dieu de Jacob ; et il nous instruira de ses chemins, et nous marcherons dans ses sentiers : car de Zion (Sion) sortira la loi et de Jérusalem, la parole du SEIGNEUR.

3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
|
4 Et il jugera parmi les nations, et il réprimandera beaucoup de peuples ; et de leurs épées ils forgeront des charrues, et de leurs lances, des serpes ; une nation ne lèvera plus l'épée contre une autre nation, et on n'apprendra plus la guerre.
|
4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
|
5 Ô maison de Jacob, venez et marchons dans la lumière du SEIGNEUR.
|
5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
|
6 ¶ C'est pourquoi tu as abandonné ton peuple, la maison de Jacob, parce qu'ils sont remplis des pratiques de l'Est et se livrent à la divination comme les Philistins, et ils se plaisent en la compagnie des enfants des étrangers.
|
6 ¶ Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.
|
7 Leur pays aussi est rempli d'argent et d'or, et il n'y a pas de fin à leurs trésors ; leur pays est aussi plein de chevaux, et il n'y a pas non plus de fin à leurs chariots.
|
7 Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:
|
8 Leur pays est aussi plein d'idoles ; ils adorent l'ouvrage de leurs mains, devant ce que leurs doigts ont fait.
|
8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
|
9 Et l'homme méchant s'incline, et l'homme important s'abaisse ; c'est pourquoi ne leur pardonne pas.
|
9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.
|
10 ¶ Entre dans le roc et cache-toi dans la poussière, par peur du SEIGNEUR et de la gloire de sa majesté.
|
10 ¶ Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.
|
11 Les regards hautains de l'homme seront abaissés, et l'orgueil de l'homme sera humilié ; et le SEIGNEUR seul sera exalté en ce jour-là.
|
11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
|
12 Car le jour du SEIGNEUR des armées sera contre tout homme qui est orgueilleux et hautain, et contre tout homme qui s'élève ; et il sera abaissé ;
|
12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
|
13 Et contre tous les cèdres du Liban, qui sont hauts et élevés, et contre tous les chênes de Bashan ;
|
13 And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
|
14 Et contre toutes les hautes montagnes, et contre toutes les collines qui sont élevées ;
|
14 And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,
|
15 Contre toute haute tour, et contre tout muraille fortifiée ;
|
15 And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,
|
16 Et contre tous les navires de Tarshish (Tarsis), et contre toutes images plaisantes.
|
16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.
|
17 Et l'arrogance de l'homme sera humiliée, et l'orgueil des hommes sera abaissé ; et le SEIGNEUR seul sera exalté en ce jour-là,
|
17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
|
18 Et quant aux idoles, il les abolira entièrement.
|
18 And the idols he shall utterly abolish.
|
19 Et l'on entrera dans les trous des rocs et dans les cavernes de la terre, par peur du SEIGNEUR et de la gloire de sa majesté, quand il se lèvera pour secouer terriblement la terre.
|
19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
|
20 En ce jour-là, l'homme jettera ses idoles d'argent et ses idoles d'or, qu'ils se seront faites pour les adorer, aux taupes et aux chauves-souris ;
|
20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
|
21 Pour entrer dans les fentes des rocs et atteindre les cimes des rocs escarpés, par crainte du SEIGNEUR et de la gloire de sa majesté, lorsqu’il se lèvera pour secouer terriblement la terre.
|
21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
|
22 Cessez de compter sur l'homme, dont le souffle est dans ses narines ; car pourquoi tenir compte de lui?
|
22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
|
