1 En l'année de la mort du roi Uzziah (Ozias), je vis le Seigneur assis sur un trône haut et élevé, et sa traîne remplissait le temple.
|
1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
|
2 Au-dessus se tenaient les séraphins, chacun d'eux avait six ailes avec deux il couvrait sa face ; avec deux il couvrait ses pieds ; et avec deux il volait.
|
2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
|
3 Et l'un criait à l'autre, et disait : Saint, saint, saint est le SEIGNEUR des armées ; la terre entière est pleine de sa gloire.
|
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
|
4 Et les poteaux de la porte remuèrent à la voix de celui qui criait, et la maison fut remplie de fumée.
|
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
|
5 ¶ Puis je dis : Malheur à moi ! car je suis perdu ; parce que je suis un homme aux lèvres souillées, et je demeure au milieu d'un peuple aux lèvres souillées, et mes yeux ont vu le Roi, le SEIGNEUR des armées.
|
5 ¶ Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
|
6 Puis l'un des séraphins vola vers moi, ayant dans sa main un charbon vif, qu'il avait pris avec des pincettes de dessus l'autel.
|
6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
|
7 Et il le mit sur ma bouche, et dit : Voici, ceci a touché tes lèvres ; et ton iniquité est ôtée, ton péché est purgé.
|
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
|
8 Et j'entendis aussi la voix du Seigneur, qui disait : Qui enverrai-je et qui ira pour nous ? Puis je dis : Je suis ici, envoie-moi.
|
8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
|
9 ¶ Et il dit : Va, et dis à ce peuple : Vous entendrez bien, mais vous ne comprendrez pas ; et vous verrez bien, mais vous n'apercevrez pas.
|
9 ¶ And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
|
10 Engraisse le cœur de ce peuple, rends ses oreilles pesantes, couvre ses yeux ; de peur qu'il ne voie de ses yeux, et n'entende de ses oreilles, et ne comprenne avec son cœur, et ne se convertisse et qu'il ne soit guéri.
|
10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
|
11 Puis je dis : Seigneur, jusqu'à quand ? Et il répondit : Jusqu'à ce que les villes soient ravagées, sans habitants, sans hommes dans les maisons, et que le pays soit entièrement dévasté,
|
11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
|
12 Et que le SEIGNEUR ait dispersé au loin les hommes, et que l'abandon ait été grand dans le pays.
|
12 And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.
|
13 ¶ Toutefois il y en aura encore un dixième, et il reviendra et il sera mangé, comme un térébinthe et comme un chêne dont la substance est en eux, quand ils perdront leurs feuilles ; ainsi la sainte semence sera sa substance.
|
13 ¶ But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.
