1 Malheur à Ariel, à Ariel, la ville où David demeura ! Ajoutez année sur année, qu'on égorge les sacrifices.
|
1 Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices.
|
2 Malgré tout j'affligerai Ariel, et il y aura tristesse et chagrin ; et elle sera pour moi comme Ariel.
|
2 Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.
|
3 Et je camperai contre toi tout autour, je t'assiégerai avec des tours, je dresserai des forts contre toi.
|
3 And I will camp against thee round about, and will lay siege against thee with a mount, and I will raise forts against thee.
|
4 Tu seras abaissée, et tu parleras de dedans la terre, et ton allocution sera basse, sortant de la poussière, et ta voix sera comme celle qui évoque les esprits, sortant de la terre, et ton allocution murmurera sortant de la poussière.
|
4 And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
|
5 De plus la multitude de tes étrangers sera comme une fine poussière, et la multitude des hommes terribles sera comme la paille qui passe ; oui, cela arrivera en un instant, soudainement.
|
5 Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.
|
6 Tu seras visitée par le SEIGNEUR des armées avec tonnerre, tremblement de terre et grand bruit, avec orage, et tempête et la flamme d'un feu dévorant.
|
6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.
|
7 ¶ Et la multitude de toutes les nations qui se battent contre Ariel, c'est-à-dire tous ceux qui se battent contre elle et sa munition et qui la tourmentent, seront comme un rêve d'une vision de nuit.
|
7 ¶ And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.
|
8 Et ce sera même comme quand un homme affamé rêve, et voici, il mange, mais il se réveille, et son âme est vide ; ou comme quand un homme altéré rêve, et voici, il boit, mais il se réveille, et voici il est défaillant et son âme est altérée ; ainsi en sera-t-il de toute la multitude de nations qui se battent contre le mont Zion (Sion).

8 It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.

9 ¶ Arrêtez-vous, et soyez étonnés, écriez-vous et pleurez ; ils sont ivres, mais non de vin ; ils titubent, mais non par la boisson forte.
|
9 ¶ Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
|
10 Car le SEIGNEUR a répandu sur vous un esprit de profond sommeil, et il a fermé vos yeux ; il a couvert les prophètes et vos dirigeants, les voyants.
|
10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
|
11 Et toute vision est devenue pour vous comme les mots d'un livre qui est scellé, qu'on donnerait à quelqu'un qui sait lire, en disant : Lis ceci, je te prie ; et il dirait Je ne peux pas, car il est scellé ;
|
11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
|
12 Puis on donnerait à celui qui ne sait pas lire, en disant : Lis ceci, je te prie ; et il dirait Je ne sais pas lire.
|
12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
|
13 ¶ C'est pourquoi le Seigneur a dit : Puisque ce peuple s'approche de moi de sa bouche, et qu'ils m'honorent de leurs lèvres, mais qu'ils ont éloigné leur cœur loin de moi, et que la crainte qu'ils ont de moi est enseigné par le précepte des hommes.

13 ¶ Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
|
14 C'est pourquoi, voici je continuerai à faire une œuvre merveilleuse à l'égard de ce peuple, à savoir une œuvre merveilleuse et un prodige ; car la sagesse de ses hommes sages périra, et l'intelligence de ses hommes prudents s'évanouira
|
14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
|
15 Malheur à ceux qui cherchent à cacher profondément leurs desseins du SEIGNEUR, dont leurs œuvres sont faites dans l'obscurité, et qui disent : Qui nous voit ? et qui nous connaît ?
|
15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?
|
16 Certainement votre façon de mettre les choses sens dessus dessous sera estimée comme l'argile du potier pour que l'ouvrage dise de celui qui l'a fait Il ne m'a pas fait ? ou la chose formée dira-t-elle de celui qui l'a formée Il n'y comprend rien ?
|
16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
|
17 N'y a-t-il pas encore très peu de temps, et le Liban sera changé en un champ fertile, et le champ fertile sera apprécié comme une forêt ?
|
17 Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?
|
18 ¶ Et en ce jour-là les sourds entendront les paroles du livre ; et les yeux des aveugles sortis de l'obscurité et des ténèbres, verront.
|
18 ¶ And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.
|
19 Les dociles aussi augmenteront leur joie dans le SEIGNEUR, et les pauvres d'entre les hommes se réjouiront dans le Saint d'Israël.
|
19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
|
20 Car le terrible sera réduit à rien, et le r sarcastique est consumé, et tous ceux qui veillent pour commettre l'iniquité seront retranchés,
|
20 For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:
|
21 Ceux qui tiennent coupable un homme pour un mot, et qui tendent des pièges à celui qui réptouve à la porte, et qui écartent le juste par une chose futile.
|
21 That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.
|
22 C'est pourquoi ainsi dit le Seigneur qui racheta Abraham, concernant la maison de Jacob : Jacob ne sera plus à présent honteux, et sa face maintenant ne pâlira plus.
|
22 Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.
|
23 Car quand il verra ses enfants, l'œuvre de mes mains au milieu de lui, ils sanctifieront mon nom, et sanctifieront le Saint de Jacob, et ils craindront le Dieu d'Israël.
|
23 But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.
|
24 Et ceux qui s'étaient égarés en esprit arriveront à comprendre, et ceux qui murmuraient apprendront la doctrine.
|
24 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.
