1 Mais maintenant, Ainsi dit le Seigneur qui t'a créé : Ô Jacob, et celui qui t'a formé, ô Israël : N'aie pas peur, car je t'ai racheté ; je t'ai appelé par ton nom, tu es à moi.

 1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

2 Quand tu passeras par les eaux, je serai avec toi, et par les fleuves, ils ne te submergeront pas ; quand tu marcheras par le feu, tu ne seras pas brûlé, et la flamme ne te consumera pas.

 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

3 Car je suis le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu, le Saint d'Israël, ton Sauveur ; j'ai donné l'Égypte pour ta rançon, l'Éthiopie et Séba pour toi.

 3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

4 Depuis que tu as été précieux à mes yeux, tu as été rendu honorable et je t'ai aimé ; c'est pourquoi je donnerai des hommes pour toi et des peuples pour ta vie.

 4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

5 N'aie pas peur, car je suis avec toi ; je ferai venir ta semence de l'Est, et je te rassemblerai de l'Ouest.

 5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;

6 Je dirai au Nord : Renonce ; et au Sud : Ne retiens pas ; amène mes fils d’au loin, et mes filles des bouts de la terre ;

 6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

7 Savoir, chacun qui est appelé par mon nom, car je l'ai créé pour ma gloire, je l'ai formé, oui, je l'ai fait.

 7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

8 ¶ Amenez le peuple aveugle qui a des yeux, et les sourds qui ont des oreilles.

 8 ¶ Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

9 Que toutes les nations se réunissent ensemble, et que les peuples s'assemblent ; qui parmi eux peut déclarer cela, et nous a montré les choses précédentes ? qu'ils produisent leurs témoins afin qu'ils puissent être justifiés ; ou qu'ils entendent et dise nt : C'est la vérité.

 9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.

10 Vous êtes mes témoins, dit le SEIGNEUR, et mon serviteur que j'ai choisi, afin que vous puissiez connaître et me croire, et comprendre que je suis ; avant moi il n'y avait aucun Dieu formé, et il n'y en aura pas non plus après moi.

 10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

11 Moi, c'est-à-dire moi, je suis le SEIGNEUR, et hormis moi il n'y a pas de sauveur.

 11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

12 J'ai déclaré, et j'ai sauvé, et j'ai démontré, quand il n’y avait pas de dieu étranger parmi vous ; c’est pourquoi vous êtes mes témoins, dit le SEIGNEUR, que je suis Dieu.

 12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.

13 Oui, avant qu’il y ait eu le jour, j’étais et il n’y a personne qui puisse délivrer de ma main ; j’œuvrerai, et qui l’empêchera ?

 13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?

14 ¶ Ainsi dit le SEIGNEUR, votre rédempteur, le Saint d'Israël : À cause de vous, j'ai envoyé à Babylone, et j'ai abaissé tous leurs notables, et les Chaldéens dont on entend le cri dans les navires.

 14 ¶ Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.

15 Je suis le SEIGNEUR, votre Saint, le créateur d'Israël, votre Roi.

 15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.

16 Ainsi dit le SEIGNEUR, qui dresse un chemin dans la mer et un sentier dans les eaux impétueuses ;

 16 Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;

17 Qui amène le chariot et le cheval, l'armée et lae pouvoir, ils seront couchés ensemble, ils ne se relèveront pas ; ils n'existeront plus, ils seront éteints comme une mèche.

 17 Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.

18 ¶ Ne vous souvenez plus des choses précédentes, ne considérez pas non plus les choses anciennes.

 18 ¶ Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

19 Voici, je vais faire une chose nouvelle ; maintenant elle jaillira ; ne la connaîtrez-vous pas ? Je mettrai même un chemin dans le désert, et des fleuves dans le lieu aride.

 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

20 Les bêtes des champs m'honoreront, les dragons et les hiboux, parce que je donne des eaux dans le désert, et des fleuves dans le lieu aride, pour abreuver mon peuple que j'ai choisi.

 20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

21 Ce peuple que j'ai formé pour moi-même ; ils montreront ma louange.

 21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

22 Mais tu ne m'as pas appelé, ô Jacob, mais tu as été lassé de moi, ô Israël.

 22 ¶ But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.

23 Tu ne m'as pas offert le menu bétail de tes offrandes consumées, ni ne m'as honoré par tes sacrifices. Je ne t'ai pas asservi pour des offrandes, et je ne t'ai pas fatigué pour de l'encens.

 23 Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense.

24 Tu ne m'as pas acheté la canne parfumée avec de l'argent, et tu ne m'as pas non plus rassasié de la graisse de tes sacrifices ; mais tu m'as asservi par tes péchés, tu m'as fatigué par tes iniquités.

 24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.

25 Moi, c'est-à-dire moi, je suis celui qui efface tes transgressions pour l'amour de moi, et je ne me souviendrai plus de tes péchés.

 25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

26 Remets-moi en mémoire, plaidons ensemble ; toi déclare, afin que tu puisses être justifié ;

 26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

27 Ton premier père a péché, et tes enseignants ont transgressé contre moi.

 27 Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.

28 C'est pourquoi j'ai profané les princes du sanctuaire, et j'ai livré Jacob à la malédiction et Israël aux reproches.

 28 Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.
