1 Ainsi dit le SEIGNEUR à son oint, à Cyrus, dont j'ai tenu la main droite pour soumettre devant lui les nations ; et je délierai les reins des rois pour ouvrir les deux battants des portes devant lui ; et les portes ne seront pas fermées.

 1 Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

2 J'irai devant toi, et je rendrai les lieux tortueux droits ; je briserai en morceaux les portes de cuivre, et je fendrai en deux les barres de fer ;

 2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

3 Et je te donnerai les trésors cachés dans l'obscurité et les richesses cachées des lieux secrets ; afin que tu puisses savoir que moi, le SEIGNEUR, qui t'appelle par ton nom, suis le Dieu d'Israël.

 3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

4 Pour l'amour de Jacob, mon serviteur, et d'Israël, mon élu, je t'ai même appelé par ton nom : je t'ai donné un nom, bien que tu ne me m’as pas connu.

 4 For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.

5 ¶ Je suis le SEIGNEUR, et il n’y en a pas d’autre, il n’y a pas de Dieu, hormis moi ; je t’ai ceint, bien que tu ne m’as pas connu ;

 5 ¶ I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

6 Afin qu'ils puissent savoir depuis le lever du soleil et depuis l'Ouest, qu'il n'y en a pas hormis moi. Je suis le SEIGNEUR, et il n'y en a pas d'autre.

 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

7 Je forme la lumière et crée l'obscurité ; je fais la paix et crée le mal ; moi, le SEIGNEUR fais toutes ces choses.

 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

8 Laissez tomber d'en haut, vous cieux, que les nuages fassent pleuvoir la rectitude ; que la terre s'ouvre, et qu'ils produisent le salut, et qu'en même temps la rectitude jaillisse ; moi le SEIGNEUR, je l'ai créé.

 8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.

9 Malheur à celui qui conteste avec son Créateur ! Que le tesson conteste avec les tessons de la terre. L'argile dira-t-elle à celui qui la façonne : Que fais-tu ? ou ton ouvrage : Il n'a pas de mains ?

 9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

10 Malheur à celui qui dit à son père : Qu'as-tu engendré ? ou à sa mère : Qu'as-tu enfanté ?

 10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?

11 Ainsi dit le SEIGNEUR, le Saint d'Israël, et son Créateur : Interrogez-moi concernant les choses à venir, concernant mes fils et commandez-moi concernant l'ouvrage de mes mains.

 11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.

12 J'ai fait la terre, et ai créé l'homme sur elle ; moi, moi-même, mes mains ont étendu les cieux, et j'ai ordonné toute leur armée.

 12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

13 Je l'ai suscité en rectitude, et je dirigerai tous ses chemins ; il bâtira ma ville et il laissera partir mes captifs, sans rançon ni récomprnse, dit le SEIGNEUR des armées.

 13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.

14 Ainsi dit le SEIGNEUR : Le travail de l'Égypte, et le négoce de l'Éthiopie, et des Sabéens, hommes de stature, passeront vers toi et ils seront à toi : Ils marcheront après toi ; ils passeront enchaînés, et ils tomberont à terre devant toi, et ils te supplieront, disant : Certainement Dieu est au milieu de toi, et il n'y en a pas d'autre, il n'y a pas d'autre Dieu.

 14 Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.

15 En vérité tu es un Dieu qui te caches, ô Dieu d'Israël, le Sauveur.

 15 Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.

16 Ils auront honte et seront aussi tous confus ; ils s'en iront ensemble avec confusion, eux qui sont fabricants d'idoles.

 16 They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.

17 Mais Israël sera sauvé dans le SEIGNEUR, d'un salut éternel ; vous ne serez ni honteux, ni confus à jamais.

 17 But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.

18 Car ainsi dit le SEIGNEUR, qui a créé les cieux ; Dieu lui-même qui a formé la terre et l'a faite, il l'a établie, il ne l'a pas créée en vain, il l'a formée pour être habitée : Je suis le SEIGNEUR, et il n'y en a pas d'autre.

 18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

19 Je n'ai pas parlé en secret, dans quelque lieu obscur de la terre ; je n'ai pas dit à la semence de Jacob : Cherchez-moi en vain. Moi, le SEIGNEUR parle avec rectitude, je déclare ce qui est droit.

 19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

20 ¶ Assemblez-vous et venez, approchez-vous ensemble, vous, qui vous êtes échappés des nations ; ils n'ont aucune connaissance, ceux qui érigent le bois de leur image taillée, et prient à un dieu qui ne peut sauver.

 20 ¶ Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.

21 Dites, et faites-les approcher ; oui, qu’ils prennent conseil ensemble ; qui a déclaré cela depuis le temps jadis ? qui l’a raconté depuis longtemps ? N’est-ce pas moi, le SEIGNEUR ? Et il n’y a pas d’autre Dieu hormis moi ; un Dieu juste et un Sauveur, il n’y en a pas d’autre hormis moi.

 21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

22 Regardez vers moi et soyez sauvés, vous tous les bouts de la terre ; car je suis Dieu, et il n'y en a pas d'autre.

 22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

23 J'ai juré par moi-même, le mot est sorti de ma bouche en toute rectitude, et ne reviendra pas, que tout genou se pliera devant moi, et toute langue jurera .

 23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

24 Certainement l’un dira : J'ai rectitude et vigueur dans le SEIGNEUR ; même à lui les hommes viendront, et tous ceux qui sont irrités contre lui seront honteux.

 24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

25 Toute la semence d'Israël sera justifiée et se glorifiera dans le SEIGNEUR.

 25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.
