1 Écoutez ceci, ô maison de Jacob, qui êtes appelés du nom d'Israël, et qui sortez des eaux de Judah ; qui jurez par le nom du SEIGNEUR et qui faites mention du Dieu d'Israël, mais non pas en vérité ni en groiture.

1 Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
|
2 Car ils se nomment d'après la ville sainte et s'appuient sur le Dieu d'Israël ; le SEIGNEUR des armées est son nom.
|
2 For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts is his name.
|
3 J’ai déclaré les premières choses depuis le commencement ; et elles sont sorties de ma bouche, et je les ai montrées ; je les ai faites soudainement, et elles sont arrivées.
|
3 I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.
|
4 Parce que je savais que tu es obstiné, et que ton cou est une barre de fer, et ton front de cuivre.
|
4 Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;
|
5 Je te l'ai même déclaré depuis le commencement ; avant qu'elles arrivent je te les ai montrées, pour ne pas que tu dises : Mon idole les a faites ; et mon image taillée et mon image fondue les ont commandées.
|
5 I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.
|
6 Tu as entendu, vois tout ceci ; et vous ne le déclarerez pas ? Je t'ai montré des choses nouvelles dès à présent, même des choses cachées et que tu ne connaissais pas.
|
6 Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.
|
7 Elles sont créées maintenant, et non pas depuis le commencement ; même avant ce jour tu n'en avais pas entendu parler ; de peur que tu ne que tu dises : Voici, je les connaissais.
|
7 They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.
|
8 Oui, tu n'en avais pas entendu parler, oui, tu ne savais pas ; oui, depuis ce temps ton oreille n'a pas été ouverte ; car je savais que tu agirais bien traîtreusement, et tu as été appelé transgresseur depuis l’utérus.
|
8 Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
|
9 ¶ Car pour l'amour de mon nom, je différerai mon courroux, et à cause de ma louange, je me retiendrai à ton égard afin que je ne pas te retranche pas.
|
9 ¶ For my name’s sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.
|
10 Voici, je t'ai épuré, mais non pas comme avec l'argent ; je t'ai choisi dans le creuset de l'affliction.
|
10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
|
11 Pour l'amour de moi, c'est-à-dire, pour l'amour de moi, je le ferai ; car comment mon nom serait-il profané ? Et je ne donnerai pas ma gloire à un autre.
|
11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.
|
12 ¶ Écoute-moi, ô Jacob et Israël, mes appelés ; je suis, je suis le premier, et je suis aussi le dernier.
|
12 ¶ Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
|
13 Ma main aussi a posé le fondement de la terre, et ma main droite a étendu les cieux ; quand je les appelle, ils comparaissent ensemble.
|
13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.
|
14 Vous tous, assemblez-vous, et entendez. Qui d'entre eux a déclaré ces choses ? Le SEIGNEUR l'a aimé, il fera son bon plaisir sur Babylone, et son bras sera sur les Chaldéens.
|
14 All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these things? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.
|
15 Moi, moi-même, j'ai parlé, oui, je l'ai appelé ; je l'ai amené, et il fera en sorte que son chemin prospérera.
|
15 I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.
|
16 ¶ Approchez-vous de moi, entendez ceci . Je n'ai pas parlé en secret depuis le commencement ; depuis le temps que cela a été, je suis là ; et maintenant le Seigneur DIEU, et son Esprit, m'a envoyé.
|
16 ¶ Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me.
|
17 Ainsi dit le SEIGNEUR, ton Rédempteur, le Saint d'Israël : Je suis le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu, qui t'enseigne pour ton profit, qui te conduis dans le chemin où tu dois marcher.
|
17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
|
18 Oh, si tu avais prêté attention à mes commandements ! Alors ta paix aurait été comme un fleuve, et ta rectitude comme les vagues de la mer ;
|
18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
|
19 Ta semence aussi aurait été comme le sable, et la progéniture de tes entrailles comme le gravier de celle-ci ; son nom n'aurait été ni retranché ni détruit de devant moi.
|
19 Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.
|
20 ¶ Sortez de Babylone, fuyez du milieu des Chaldéens, d'une voix qui chante, déclarez ceci, racontez ceci, et portez-le même jusqu'au bout de la terre ; dites : Le SEIGNEUR a racheté son serviteur Jacob.
|
20 ¶ Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
|
21 Et ils n'ont pas eu soif quand il les conduisit à travers les lieux arides ; il a fait jaillir pour eux les eaux du roc ; il a aussi fendu le roc, et les eaux ont coulé.
|
21 And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.
|
22 Il n’y a pas de paix, dit le SEIGNEUR pour les malfaisants.
|
22 There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.
