1 Je suis recherché de ceux qui ne me demandaient pas, je me suis fait trouver de ceux qui ne me cherchaient pas ; j'ai dit : Me voici, à une nation qui n'était pas appelée par mon nom.

 1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.

2 J'ai étendu mes mains tout le jour vers un peuple rebelle, qui marche dans un chemin qui n'est pas bon, à savoir après leurs propres pensées ;

 2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;

3 Un peuple qui me provoque à courroux continuellement, qui sacrifient dans les jardins et brûle de l'encens sur les autels de briques ;

 3 A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;

4 Qui se tiennent dans les tombes et passent la nuit dans les monuments, qui mangent la chair de pourceau, et le bouillon d'abominables choses est dans leurs récipients ;

 4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine’s flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;

5 Qui disent : Tiens-toi là, ne t'approche pas de moi, car je suis plus saint que toi. Ceux-là sont une fumée à mes narines, un feu qui brûle tout le jour.

 5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

6 Voici, c'est écrit devant moi ; je ne me tairai pas ; mais je le rendrai ; oui, je le leur rendrai dans leur sein

 6 Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,

7 Vos iniquités, et les iniquités de vos pères, dit le SEIGNEUR, qui ont brûlé de l'encens sur les montagnes et m'ont blasphémé sur les collines c'est pourquoi je mesurerai dans leur sein leur salaire précédent.

 7 Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.

8 ¶ Ainsi dit le SEIGNEUR : Comme le vin nouveau est trouvé dans la grappe, et qu'on dit : Ne la détruis pas, car il y a une bénédiction en elle ; ainsi ferai-je à cause de mes serviteurs, afin que je ne les détruise pas tous.

 8 ¶ Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants’ sakes, that I may not destroy them all.

9 Et je ferai sortir de Jacob une semence, et de Judah un héritier de mes montagnes ; et mes élus hériteront le pays, et mes serviteurs y demeureront.

 9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.

10 Et Sharon (Saron) sera un parc pour les troupeaux, et la vallée d'Achor (Achor) un lieu où le gros bétail couchera, pour mon peuple qui m'aura cherché.

 10 And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.

11 ¶ Mais vous qui abandonnez le SEIGNEUR, qui oubliez ma sainte montagne, qui dressez une table pour cette armée, et qui fournissez l'offrande liquide à autant qu'on en peut compter.

 11 ¶ But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.

12 C'est pourquoi je vous compterai avec l'épée, et vous tous vous vous courberez pour être égorgés ; parce que lorsque j'ai appelé, vous n'avez pas répondu ; lorsque j'ai parlé, vous n'avez pas écouté ; mais vous avez fait ce qui est mal à mes yeux, et vous avez choisi ce en quoi je ne prends pas plaisir.

 12 Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

13 C'est pourquoi, ainsi dit le Seigneur DIEU : Voici, mes serviteurs mangeront, mais vous aurez faim ; voici, mes serviteurs boiront, mais vous aurez soif ; voici, mes serviteurs se réjouiront, mais vous serez honteux ;

 13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:

14 Voici, mes serviteurs chanteront de joie dans leur cœur, mais vous pleurerez de douleur dans votre cœur, et vous hurlerez dans l'humiliation de votre esprit.

 14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.

15 Et vous laisserez votre nom comme malédiction à ceux que j'ai choisis ; car le Seigneur DIEU te tuera, et appellera ses serviteurs par un autre nom.

 15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:

16 Si bien que celui qui se bénira sur la terre, se bénira en le Dieu de vérité ; et celui qui jurera sur la terre, jurera par le Dieu de vérité ; parce que les angoisses précédentes seront oubliées, et parce qu'elles seront cachées à mes yeux.

 16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

17 ¶ Car voici, je vais créer de nouveaux cieux et une nouvelle terre ; et on ne se souviendra plus des choses précédentes, et elles ne reviendront plus à la pensée.

 17 ¶ For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

18 Mais soyez heureux et réjouissez-vous pour toujours, en ce que je vais créer ; car voici, je vais créer Jérusalem une réjouissance, et son peuple, une joie.

 18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

19 Et je m'égaierai en Jérusalem, et me réjouirai en mon peuple ; et on n'y entendra plus la voix des gémissements, ni la voix des pleurs.

 19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

20 Il n'y aura plus désormais de nourrissons de quelques jours, ni d'homme âgé qui n'ait pas accompli ses jours ; car l'enfant mourra à cent ans, mais le pécheur étant âgé de cent ans sera maudit.

 20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.

21 Et ils bâtiront des maisons, et les habiteront ; et ils planteront des vignes, et en mangeront le fruit.

 21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

22 Ils ne bâtiront pas pour qu'un autre y habite, ils ne planteront pas pour qu'un autre en mange ; car les jours de mon peuple seront comme les jours d'un arbre, et mes élus jouiront longtemps l'ouvrage de leurs mains.

 22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

23 Ils ne travailleront plus en vain, ni n'enfanteront le souci ; car ils sont la semence des bénis du SEIGNEUR, et leur progéniture avec eux.

 23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.

24 Et il arrivera qu'avant qu'ils appellent, je répondrai ; et tandis qu'ils parleront encore, je les aurai déjà entendus.

 24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

25 Le loup et l'agneau se nourriront ensemble ; et le lion mangera de la paille comme le bœuf ; et la poussière sera la nourriture du serpent. On ne fera plus de mal, et on ne détruira plus sur toute ma sainte montagne, dit le SEIGNEUR.

 25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
