1 En vérité, en vérité, je vous dis: Celui qui n’entre pas par la porte dans la bergerie, mais qui l’escalade par quelque autre moyen, celui-là est un voleur et un brigand.

 1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2 Mais celui qui entre par la porte est le berger des moutons.

 2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3 À celui-ci le portier ouvre; et les moutons entendent sa voix: et il appelle ses propres moutons par leur nom et les conduit dehors.

 3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4 Et quand il a fait sortir ses propres moutons, il va devant eux, et les moutons le suivent: car ils connaissent sa voix.

 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5 Et ils ne suivront pas un étranger, mais ils le fuiront: car ils ne connaissent pas la voix des étrangers.

 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

6 Jésus leur dit cette parabole: mais ils ne comprirent pas les choses dont il leur parlait.

 6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

7 Puis Jésus leur dit encore: En vérité, en vérité, je vous dis: Je suis la porte des moutons.

 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8 Tous ceux qui sont venus avant moi sont des voleurs et des brigands: mais les moutons ne les ont pas entendus.

 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9 Je suis la porte: si un homme entre par moi, il sera sauvé et entrera et sortira, et trouvera du pâturage.

 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10 Le voleur ne vient que pour voler, et tuer et détruire: je suis venu, afin qu’ils puissent avoir la vie, et qu’ils puissent l’avoir plus abondamment.

 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11 Je suis le bon berger: le bon berger donne sa vie pour les moutons.

 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12 Mais celui qui est un salarié, et non le berger, à qui les moutons n’appartiennent pas, voit venir le loup, et laisse les moutons, et s’enfuit: et le loup les attrape et disperse les moutons.

 12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13 Le salarié s’enfuit, parce qu’il est un salarié, et qu’il ne se soucie pas des moutons.

 13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14 Je suis le bon berger, et je connais mes moutons et je suis connu des miens.

 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15 Comme le Père me connaît, oui certainement je connais le Père: et je donne ma vie pour les moutons.

 15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16 Et j’ai d’autres moutons qui ne sont pas de cette bergerie: eux aussi je dois les amener, et ils entendront ma voix; et il y aura un seul troupeau, et un seul berger.

 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

17 Par conséquent mon Père m’aime, parce que je donne ma vie, afin que je puisse la reprendre.

 17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

18 Aucun homme ne me l’ôte, mais je la donne de moi-même. J’ai le pouvoir de la donner et j’ai le pouvoir de la reprendre. J’ai reçu ce commandement de mon Père.

 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

19 ¶ Il y eut donc de nouveau une division parmi les Juifs, à cause de ces dires.

 19 ¶ There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.

20 Et beaucoup d’entre eux disaient: Il a un diable, et il est fou; pourquoi l’écoutez-vous?

 20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?

21 D’autres disaient: Ce ne sont pas les paroles de celui qui a un diable. Un diable peut-il ouvrir les yeux des aveugles?

 21 Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?

22 ¶ Et c’était la fête de la dédicace à Jérusalem, et c’était l’hiver.

 22 ¶ And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

23 Et Jésus marchait dans le temple, dans le porche de Salomon.

 23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch.

24 Alors les Juifs vinrent autour de lui et lui dirent: Combien de temps nous laisseras-tu dans le doute? Si tu es le Christ, dis-le-nous simplement.

 24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

25 Jésus leur répondit: Je vous l’ai dit, et vous ne croyez pas: les œuvres que je fais au nom de mon Père, elles rendent témoignage de moi.

 25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.

26 Mais vous ne croyez pas, parce que vous n’êtes pas de mes moutons, comme je vous l’ai dit.

 26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

27 Mes moutons entendent ma voix, et je les connais, et ils me suivent:

 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28 Et je leur donne la vie éternelle; et ils ne périront jamais, et aucun homme ne les ravira de ma main.

 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29 Mon Père, qui me les a donnés, est plus grand que tous; et aucun homme n’est capable de les ravir de la main de mon Père.

 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

30 Moi et mon Père sommes un.

 30 I and my Father are one.

31 Alors les Juifs prirent de nouveau des pierres pour le lapider.

 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

32 Jésus leur répondit: Je vous ai montré beaucoup de bonnes œuvres de la part de mon Père; pour laquelle de ces œuvres me lapidez-vous?

 32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

33 Les Juifs lui répondirent, disant: Nous ne te lapidons pas pour une bonne œuvre; mais pour blasphème; et parce que toi, étant un homme, tu te fais Dieu.

 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

34 Jésus leur répondit: N’est-il pas écrit dans votre loi, J’ai dit, Vous êtes des dieux?

 34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

35 S’il les a appelés dieux, ceux à qui la parole de Dieu est venue, et l’écriture ne peut être enfreinte;

 35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

36 Dites-vous de celui, que le Père a sanctifié et envoyé dans le monde, Tu blasphèmes; parce que j’ai dit, Je suis le Fils de Dieu?

 36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

37 Si je ne fais pas les œuvres de mon Père, ne me croyez pas.

 37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

38 Mais si je les fais, même si vous ne me croyez pas, croyez les œuvres: afin que vous puissiez savoir, et croire, que le Père est en moi, et moi en lui.

 38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

39 Par conséquent ils cherchaient encore à le prendre: mais il échappa de leur main,

 39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,

40 Et il s’en alla de nouveau au-delà du Jourdain, au lieu où Jean avait au commencement baptisé; et il demeura là.

 40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.

41 Et beaucoup allaient vers lui et disaient: Jean n’a fait aucun miracle: mais toutes les choses que Jean a dites de cet homme étaient vraies.

 41 And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.

42 Et là beaucoup crurent en lui.

 42 And many believed on him there.
