1 Que votre cœur ne soit pas troublé: vous croyez en Dieu, croyez aussi en moi.

 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 Dans la maison de mon Père, il y a beaucoup de manoirs: si cela n’était pas ainsi, je vous l’aurais dit. Je vais préparer une place pour vous.

 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 Et si je m’en vais, et prépare une place pour vous, je reviendrai, et vous recevrai à moi-même; afin que là où je suis, vous puissiez y être aussi.

 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

4 Et vous savez où je vais, et vous en connaissez le chemin.

 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

5 Thomas lui dit: Seigneur, nous ne savons pas où tu vas; et comment pouvons-nous en connaître le chemin?

 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

6 Jésus lui dit: Je suis le chemin, la vérité et la vie: aucun homme ne vient vers le Père, que par moi.

 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

7 Si vous m’aviez connu, vous auriez aussi connu mon Père: et désormais vous le connaissez, et vous l’avez vu.

 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

8 Philippe lui dit: Seigneur, montre-nous le Père, et cela nous suffit.

 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

9 Jésus lui dit: Ai-je été si longtemps avec vous, et cependant tu ne m’as pas connu, Philippe? Celui qui m’a vu, a vu le Père; et comment dis-tu alors: Montre-nous le Père?

 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

10 Ne crois-tu pas que je suis dans le Père, et le Père en moi? les paroles que je vous dis, je ne les dis pas de moi-même: mais le Père qui demeure en moi, lui fait les œuvres.

 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Croyez-moi que je suis dans le Père, et le Père en moi: sinon, croyez-moi à cause des œuvres mêmes.

 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

12 En vérité, en vérité, je vous dis: Celui qui croit en moi, il fera aussi les œuvres que je fais; et il fera de plus grandes œuvres que celles-ci; parce que je vais vers mon Père.

 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 Et quoi que vous demandiez en mon nom, cela je le ferai, afin que le Père puisse être glorifié dans le Fils.

 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 Si vous demandez quelque chose en mon nom, je le ferai.

 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

15 ¶ Si vous m’aimez, gardez mes commandements.

 15 ¶ If ye love me, keep my commandments.

16 Et je prierai le Père, et il vous donnera un autre Consolateur, afin qu’il puisse demeurer avec vous pour toujours;

 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 C’est-à-dire l’Esprit de vérité; que le monde ne peut recevoir, parce qu’il ne le voit pas, ni ne le connaît: mais vous le connaissez; car il demeure avec vous, et sera en vous.

 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 Je ne vous laisserai pas sans consolation: je viendrai à vous.

 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

19 Encore un petit moment et le monde ne me voit plus: mais vous, vous me voyez: parce que je vis, vous vivrez aussi.

 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20 En ce jour-là vous saurez que je suis en mon Père, et vous en moi, et moi en vous.

 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21 Celui qui a mes commandements, et qui les garde, c’est celui-là qui m’aime: et celui qui m’aime sera aimé de mon Père, et je l’aimerai, et me manifesterai à lui.

 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

22 Judas, non pas Iscariot, lui dit: Seigneur, comment se fait-il que tu te manifesteras à nous, et non pas au monde?

 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

23 Jésus répondit et lui dit: Si un homme m’aime, il gardera mes paroles: et mon Père l’aimera, et nous viendrons vers lui, et ferons notre demeure chez lui.

 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24 Celui qui ne m’aime pas ne garde pas mes dires: et la parole que vous entendez n’est pas la mienne, mais celle du Père qui m’a envoyé.

 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

25 Je vous ai dit ces choses étant encore présent avec vous.

 25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

26 Mais le Consolateur, qui est l’Esprit Saint, que le Père enverra en mon nom, lui, vous enseignera toutes choses, et ramènera toutes choses à votre mémoire, tout ce que je vous ai dit.

 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27 Je vous laisse la paix, je vous donne ma paix: je vous donne, non pas comme le monde donne. Que votre cœur ne soit pas troublé, et qu’il n’ait pas peur non plus.

 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

28 Vous avez entendu que je vous ai dit: Je m’en vais, et je reviens vers vous. Si vous m’aimiez, vous vous réjouiriez parce que j’ai dit, Je vais vers le Père: car mon Père est plus grand que moi.

 28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

29 Et maintenant je vous l’ai dit, avant que cela arrive, afin que, lorsque cela sera arrivé, vous puissiez croire.

 29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

30 Plus tard je ne parlerai plus beaucoup avec vous: car le prince de ce monde vient, et n’a rien en moi.

 30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

31 Mais c’est afin que le monde puisse savoir que j’aime le Père; et je fais, oui certainement comme le Père m’a donné commandement. Levez-vous, partons d’ici.

 31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
