1 Alors Jonah (Jonas) pria le SEIGNEUR son Dieu, du ventre du poisson.
|
1 Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish’s belly,
|
2 Et il dit : J’ai crié au SEIGNEUR à cause de mon affliction, et il m’a entendu ; depuis le ventre de l’enfer j’ai crié, et tu as entendu ma voix.
|
2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
|
3 Tu m’as jeté dans l’abîme, au milieu des mers, et les flots m’ont entouré ; toutes tes lames et toutes tes vagues ont passé sur moi.
|
3 For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
|
4 Alors j’ai dit : Je suis rejeté de ta vue ; toutefois je continuerai de contempler vers ton saint temple.
|
4 Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
|
5 Les eaux m’ont entouré et même jusqu’à l’âme ; l’abîme m’a enfermé ; les algues se sont enveloppées autour de ma tête.
|
5 The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
|
6 J’étais descendu jusqu’aux racines des montagnes ; la terre avec ses barres était autour de moi pour toujours ; toutefois tu as fait remonter ma vie de la corruption, ô SEIGNEUR, mon Dieu.
|
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
|
7 Quand mon âme défaillait en moi, je me suis souvenu du SEIGNEUR, et ma prière est venue jusqu’à toi, dans ton saint temple.
|
7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
|
8 Ceux qui s’adonnent à des vanités mensongères abandonnent leur propre miséricorde.
|
8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
|
9 Mais moi, je te sacrifierai avec la voix de remerciement, je paierai ce que j’ai promis. Le salut est du SEIGNEUR.
|
9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD.
|
10 ¶ Et le SEIGNEUR parla au poisson, et il vomit Jonah (Jonas) sur la terre sèche.
|
10 ¶ And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
