1 Et le SEIGNEUR parla à Moïse et à Aaron, disant :

 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, saying,

2 Quand un homme aura dans la peau de sa chair une tumeur, une croûte ou une tache claire, et qu’elle sera dans la peau de sa chair comme la plaie de lèpre, alors il sera amené à Aaron, le prêtre, ou à l’un de ses fils, les prêtres.

 2 When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a scab, or bright spot, and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy; then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests:

3 Et le prêtre regardera la plaie sur la peau de la chair et si le poil de la plaie est devenu blanc, et si la plaie à la voir est plus enfoncée que la peau de sa chair, c’est une plaie de lèpre et le prêtre le regardera et le prononcera souillé.

 3 And the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh: and when the hair in the plague is turned white, and the plague in sight be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy: and the priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean.

4 Si la tache claire est blanche dans la peau de sa chair, et qu’à la voir, elle ne soit pas plus enfoncée que la peau et si son poil n’est pas devenu blanc, le prêtre enfermera celui qui a la plaie pendant sept jours.

 4 If the bright spot be white in the skin of his flesh, and in sight be not deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof be not turned white; then the priest shall shut up him that hath the plague seven days:

5 Et le prêtre le regardera au septième jour ; et voici, si la plaie à ses yeux est stabilisée et la plaie ne s’est pas étendue sur la peau, alors le prêtre l’enfermera sept jours de plus.

 5 And the priest shall look on him the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague in his sight be at a stay, and the plague spread not in the skin; then the priest shall shut him up seven days more:

6 Et le prêtre le regardera de nouveau le septième jour ; et voici, si la plaie est quelque peu sombre et ne s’est pas étendue dans la peau, le prêtre le déclarera net ; c’est seulement une croûte ; et il lavera ses vêtements et sera net.

 6 And the priest shall look on him again the seventh day: and, behold, if the plague be somewhat dark, and the plague spread not in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him clean: it is but a scab: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.

7 Mais si la croûte s’est beaucoup étendue sur la peau, après qu’il aura été vu par le prêtre pour sa purification, il sera vu de nouveau par le prêtre,

 7 But if the scab spread much abroad in the skin, after that he hath been seen of the priest for his cleansing, he shall be seen of the priest again:

8 Et si le prêtre voit que, voici, la croûte s’est étendue sur la peau, alors le prêtre le prononcera souillé ; c’est une lèpre.

 8 And if the priest see that, behold, the scab spreadeth in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a leprosy.

9 ¶ Quand la plaie de lèpre est sur un homme, alors il sera amené au prêtre ;

 9 ¶ When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought unto the priest;

10 Et le prêtre le regardera, et voici, si la tumeur est blanche sur la peau, et si elle a rendu le poil blanc, et si ’il y a existence de chair vive dans la tumeur,

 10 And the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the rising be white in the skin, and it have turned the hair white, and there be quick raw flesh in the rising;

11 C’est une lèpre invétérée sur la peau de sa chair et le prêtre le prononcera souillé ; il ne le fera pas enfermer, car il est souillé.

 11 It is an old leprosy in the skin of his flesh, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean, and shall not shut him up: for he is unclean.

12 Et si une lèpre fait éruption sur la peau, et que la lèpre couvre toute la peau de celui qui a la plaie, de la tête aux pieds, partout où peut voir le prêtre,

 12 And if a leprosy break out abroad in the skin, and the leprosy cover all the skin of him that hath the plague from his head even to his foot, wheresoever the priest looketh;

13 Alors le prêtre considérera, et voici, si la lèpre a couvert toute sa chair, il prononcera net celui qui a la plaie ; elle est devenue toute blanche ; il est net.

 13 Then the priest shall consider: and, behold, if the leprosy have covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce him clean that hath the plague: it is all turned white: he is clean.

14 Mais quand de la chair vive paraîtra en lui, il sera souillé.

 14 But when raw flesh appeareth in him, he shall be unclean.

15 Et le prêtre verra la chair vive, et le prononcera souillé ; car la chair vive est souillée, c’est la lèpre.

 15 And the priest shall see the raw flesh, and pronounce him to be unclean: for the raw flesh is unclean: it is a leprosy.

16 Or si la chair vive change de nouveau et devient blanche, il ira vers le prêtre ;

 16 Or if the raw flesh turn again, and be changed unto white, he shall come unto the priest;

17 Et le prêtre le verra ; et voici, si la plaie est devenue blanche, alors le prêtre prononcera net celui qui a la plaie : il est net.

 17 And the priest shall see him: and, behold, if the plague be turned into white; then the priest shall pronounce him clean that hath the plague: he is clean.

18 ¶ Aussi la chair dans laquelle, c’est-à-dire sur sa peau, a eu un ulcère, et qu’il soit guéri,

 18 ¶ The flesh also, in which, even in the skin thereof, was a boil, and is healed,

19 Et qu’à l’endroit de l’ulcère, il y ait une tumeur blanche ou une tache claire blanche et quelque peu rougeâtre et il sera montré au prêtre.

 19 And in the place of the boil there be a white rising, or a bright spot, white, and somewhat reddish, and it be shewed to the priest;

20 Et si, quand le prêtre le verra, voici, elle soit à la voir plus enfoncée que la peau et que son poil soit devenu blanc, le prêtre le prononcera souillé ; c’est une plaie de lèpre, qui a fait éruption hors de l’ulcère.

 20 And if, when the priest seeth it, behold, it be in sight lower than the skin, and the hair thereof be turned white; the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague of leprosy broken out of the boil.

21 Mais si le prêtre la regardant, et voici, il n’y a pas en elle de poil blanc et si elle n’est pas plus enfoncée que la peau, mais est quelque peu foncée, alors le prêtre l’enfermera sept jours.

 21 But if the priest look on it, and, behold, there be no white hairs therein, and if it be not lower than the skin, but be somewhat dark; then the priest shall shut him up seven days:

22 Et si elle s’étend beaucoup sur la peau, alors le prêtre le déclarera souillé : c’est une plaie.

22 And if it spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague.

23 Mais si la tache claire est restée à la même place et ne s’est pas étendue, c’est une inflammation d’ulcère ; et le prêtre le prononcera net.

 23 But if the bright spot stay in his place, and spread not, it is a burning boil; and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

24 ¶ Ou si la chair a dans sa peau une inflammation ardente et que la chair vive de la partie enflammée a une tache blanche claire quelque peu rougeâtre ou blanche,

 24 ¶ Or if there be any flesh, in the skin whereof there is a hot burning, and the quick flesh that burneth have a white bright spot, somewhat reddish, or white;

25 Alors le prêtre la regardera ; et voici, si le poil est devenu blanc dans la tache claire et qu’à voir elle soit plus enfoncée que la peau, c’est une lèpre, elle a fait éruption hors de la brûlure ; c’est pourquoi le prêtre le prononcera souillé : c’est une plaie de lèpre.

 25 Then the priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the hair in the bright spot be turned white, and it be in sight deeper than the skin; it is a leprosy broken out of the burning: wherefore the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of leprosy.

26 Mais si le prêtre la considère, et voici, il n’y a aucun poil blanc dans la tache claire et si elle n’est pas plus enfoncée que le reste de la peau, mais est quelque peu noirâtre, alors le prêtre l’enfermera sept jours.

 26 But if the priest look on it, and, behold, there be no white hair in the bright spot, and it be no lower than the other skin, but be somewhat dark; then the priest shall shut him up seven days:

27 Et le prêtre le regardera le septième jour ; et si elle s’est beaucoup étendue dans la peau, alors le prêtre le prononcera souillé : c’est une plaie de lèpre.

 27 And the priest shall look upon him the seventh day: and if it be spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of leprosy.

28 Et si la tache claire est restée à sa place et ne s’est pas étendue dans la peau, mais est quelque peu noirâtre : c’est une tumeur de la brûlure, et le prêtre le prononcera net : car c’est une inflammation de la brûlure.

 28 And if the bright spot stay in his place, and spread not in the skin, but it be somewhat dark; it is a rising of the burning, and the priest shall pronounce him clean: for it is an inflammation of the burning.

29 ¶ Si un homme ou une femme a une plaie à la tête, ou l’homme à la barbe,

 29 ¶ If a man or woman have a plague upon the head or the beard;

30 Alors le prêtre verra la plaie et voici, si elle est à la voir plus profonde que la peau, et qu’il y ait en elle du poil jaunâtre et fin, alors le prêtre le prononcera souillé : c’est la teigne, c’est-à-dire une lèpre de la tête ou de la barbe.

 30 Then the priest shall see the plague: and, behold, if it be in sight deeper than the skin; and there be in it a yellow thin hair; then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a dry scall, even a leprosy upon the head or beard.

31 Et si le prêtre regarde la plaie de la teigne, et voici, elle n’est pas à la voir plus profonde que la peau et s’il n’y a aucun poil noir, alors le prêtre enfermera celui qui a la plaie de la teigne sept jours.

 31 And if the priest look on the plague of the scall, and, behold, it be not in sight deeper than the skin, and that there is no black hair in it; then the priest shall shut up him that hath the plague of the scall seven days:

32 Et au septième jour le prêtre considérera la plaie ; et voici, si la teigne ne s’est pas étendue, et s’il n’y ait aucun poil jaunâtre et si la teigne ne soit pas à la voir plus profonde que la peau,

 32 And in the seventh day the priest shall look on the plague: and, behold, if the scall spread not, and there be in it no yellow hair, and the scall be not in sight deeper than the skin;

33 Il se rasera, mais l‘endroit où était la teigne, il ne le rasera pas ; et le prêtre enfermera celui qui a la teigne sept jours de plus.

 33 He shall be shaven, but the scall shall he not shave; and the priest shall shut up him that hath the scall seven days more:

34 Et au septième jour le prêtre considérera la teigne ; et voici, si la teigne ne s’est pas étendue dans la peau, et qu’à la voir elle ne soit pas plus profonde que la peau, alors le prêtre le prononcera net : et il lavera ses vêtements et sera net.

 34 And in the seventh day the priest shall look on the scall: and, behold, if the scall be not spread in the skin, nor be in sight deeper than the skin; then the priest shall pronounce him clean: and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.

35 Mais si la teigne s’est beaucoup étendue sur la peau, après sa purification ;

 35 But if the scall spread much in the skin after his cleansing;

36 Alors le prêtre le considérera ; et voici, si la teigne s’est étendue sur la peau, le prêtre ne cherchera pas de poil jaunâtre, il est souillé.

 36 Then the priest shall look on him: and, behold, if the scall be spread in the skin, the priest shall not seek for yellow hair; he is unclean.

37 Mais si la teigne s’est à ses yeux stabilisée et si du poil noir ait poussé en elle ; la teigne est guérie, il est net, et le prêtre le prononcera net.

 37 But if the scall be in his sight at a stay, and that there is black hair grown up therein; the scall is healed, he is clean: and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

38 ¶ Si un homme ou une femme ont sur la peau de leur chair des taches claires, même des taches d’un blanc clair,

 38 ¶ If a man also or a woman have in the skin of their flesh bright spots, even white bright spots;

39 Alors le prêtre le verra ; et voici, si des taches claires dans la peau de leur chair sont d’un blanc foncé, c’est une tache de rousseur qui grandit dans la peau ; il est net.

 39 Then the priest shall look: and, behold, if the bright spots in the skin of their flesh be darkish white; it is a freckled spot that groweth in the skin; he is clean.

40 Et l’homme dont les cheveux sont tombés de sa tête, il est chauve cependant il est net.

 40 And the man whose hair is fallen off his head, he is bald; yet is he clean.

41 Et celui dont les cheveux sont tombés de sa tête du côté de son visage, il est chauve sur le front ; cependant il est net.

 41 And he that hath his hair fallen off from the part of his head toward his face, he is forehead bald: yet is he clean.

42 Et s’il y a dans la partie chauve ou du front dégarni, une irritation blanche rougeâtre, c’est une lèpre qui a fait éruption dans sa tête chauve ou de son front dégarni.

 42 And if there be in the bald head, or bald forehead, a white reddish sore; it is a leprosy sprung up in his bald head, or his bald forehead.

43 Alors le prêtre le regardera ; et voici, si la tumeur de l’irruption est d’un blanc rougeâtre dans sa tête chauve ou dans son front dégarni, comme l’aspect de la lèpre dans la peau de la chair,

 43 Then the priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the rising of the sore be white reddish in his bald head, or in his bald forehead, as the leprosy appeareth in the skin of the flesh;

44 Il est un homme lépreux, il est souillé ; le prêtre le prononcera entièrement souillé ; sa plaie est en sa tête.

 44 He is a leprous man, he is unclean: the priest shall pronounce him utterly unclean; his plague is in his head.

45 Et le lépreux en qui est la plaie, ses vêtements seront déchirés, et sa tête nue ; et il couvrira sa lèvre supérieure et criera : Souillé, souillé.

 45 And the leper in whom the plague is, his clothes shall be rent, and his head bare, and he shall put a covering upon his upper lip, and shall cry, Unclean, unclean.

46 Tous les jours durant lesquels la plaie sera en lui, il sera impur ; il est souillé ; il demeurera seul, son habitation sera hors du camp.

 46 All the days wherein the plague shall be in him he shall be defiled; he is unclean: he shall dwell alone; without the camp shall his habitation be.

47 ¶ Le vêtement aussi qui contient une plaie de lèpre, que ce soit un vêtement de laine, ou un vêtement de lin,

 47 ¶ The garment also that the plague of leprosy is in, whether it be a woollen garment, or a linen garment;

48 Que ce soit dans la chaîne ou la trame du lin ou de la laine, que ce soit dans une peau ou dans quelque ouvrage fait de peau,

 48 Whether it be in the warp, or woof; of linen, or of woollen; whether in a skin, or in any thing made of skin;

49 Et si la plaie est verdâtre ou rougeâtre dans le vêtement ou dans la peau, ou dans la chaîne ou dans la trame, ou dans une chose quelconque faite de peau, c’est une plaie de lèpre, et sera montrée au prêtre.

 49 And if the plague be greenish or reddish in the garment, or in the skin, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in any thing of skin; it is a plague of leprosy, and shall be shewed unto the priest:

50 Et le prêtre regardera la plaie et fera enfermer ce qui a la plaie sept jours.

 50 And the priest shall look upon the plague, and shut up it that hath the plague seven days:

51 Et il considérera la plaie le septième jour ; si la plaie s’est étendue dans le vêtement, ou dans la chaîne, ou dans la trame ou sur la peau, ou sur un ouvrage quelconque fait de peau, la plaie est une lèpre rongeuse : c’est souillé.

 51 And he shall look on the plague on the seventh day: if the plague be spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in a skin, or in any work that is made of skin; the plague is a fretting leprosy; it is unclean.

52 Il brûlera donc ce vêtement, ou la chaîne, ou la trame de laine ou de lin, ou toutes choses de peau, dans lesquelles est la plaie : car c’est une lèpre rongeuse ; cela sera brûlé au feu.

 52 He shall therefore burn that garment, whether warp or woof, in woollen or in linen, or any thing of skin, wherein the plague is: for it is a fretting leprosy; it shall be burnt in the fire.

53 Et si le prêtre regarde ; et voici, la plaie ne s’est pas étendue dans le vêtement, ou dans la chaîne, ou dans la trame ou dans quelque chose fait de peau,

 53 And if the priest shall look, and, behold, the plague be not spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in any thing of skin;

54 Alors le prêtre commandera qu’on lave la chose dans laquelle est la plaie et il l’enfermera sept jours de plus.

 54 Then the priest shall command that they wash the thing wherein the plague is, and he shall shut it up seven days more:

55 Et le prêtre considérera la plaie après qu’elle aura été lavée ; et voici, si la plaie n’a pas changé sa couleur et que la plaie ne s’est pas étendue, c’est souillé ; tu la brûleras au feu ; c’est rongée à l’intérieur, que ce soit à l’intérieur ou à l’extérieur.

 55 And the priest shall look on the plague, after that it is washed: and, behold, if the plague have not changed his colour, and the plague be not spread; it is unclean; thou shalt burn it in the fire; it is fret inward, whether it be bare within or without.

56 Et si le prêtre regarde, et voici, la plaie est quelque peu noirâtre après avoir été lavée, alors il l’arrachera du vêtement, ou de la peau, ou de la chaîne, ou de la trame.

 56 And if the priest look, and, behold, the plague be somewhat dark after the washing of it; then he shall rend it out of the garment, or out of the skin, or out of the warp, or out of the woof:

57 Et si elle paraît encore dans le vêtement, ou dans la chaîne, ou dans la trame, ou dans quelque chose fait de peau, c’est une propagation de lèpre ; tu brûleras au feu ce qui contient la plaie.

 57 And if it appear still in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in any thing of skin; it is a spreading plague: thou shalt burn that wherein the plague is with fire.

58 Et le vêtement, que ce soit la chaîne ou la trame, ou toute chose faite de peau, que tu auras lavé, si la plaie est partie, alors il sera lavé une seconde fois, et il sera net.

 58 And the garment, either warp, or woof, or whatsoever thing of skin it be, which thou shalt wash, if the plague be departed from them, then it shall be washed the second time, and shall be clean.

59 C’est la loi de la plaie de la lèpre dans un vêtement de laine ou de lin, ou dans la chaîne ou dans la trame, ou en quelque chose fait de peau, pour la déclarer nette ou souillée.

 59 This is the law of the plague of leprosy in a garment of woollen or linen, either in the warp, or woof, or any thing of skins, to pronounce it clean, or to pronounce it unclean.
