1 Et le SEIGNEUR parla à Moïse, disant :

 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Parle à toute la congrégation des enfants d’Israël et dis-leur : Vous serez saints, car moi, le SEIGNEUR votre Dieu, suis saint.

 2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.

3 ¶ Vous craindrez chacun de vous, sa mère et son père, et vous garderez mes shabbats : Je suis le SEIGNEUR votre Dieu.

 3 ¶ Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God.

4 ¶ Ne vous tournez pas vers les idoles et vous ne ferez pas non plus de dieux de métal fondu : Je suis le SEIGNEUR votre Dieu.

 4 ¶ Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God.

5 ¶ Et si vous offrez un sacrifice d’offrande de paix au SEIGNEUR, vous l’offrirez de votre bon gré.

 5 ¶ And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will.

6 Il sera mangé le jour même où vous l’aurez offert et le lendemain ; et ce qui restera jusqu’au troisième jour sera brûlé au feu.

 6 It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if ought remain until the third day, it shall be burnt in the fire.

7 Et si on en mange le troisième jour, ce sera abominable, il ne sera pas acceptable.

 7 And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted.

8 C’est pourquoi quiconque en mangera portera son iniquité, parce qu’il aura profané la chose sanctifiée du SEIGNEUR et cette âme-là sera retranchée de son peuple.

 8 Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

9 ¶ Et quand vous ferez la moisson dans votre terre, tu ne moissonneras pas complètement les coins de ton champ, et tu ne ramasseras pas la glanure de ta moisson ;

 9 ¶ And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.

10 Et tu ne grappilleras pas ta vigne, et tu ne recueilleras pas chaque raisin de ta vigne ; tu les laisseras au pauvre et à l’étranger : Je suis le SEIGNEUR votre Dieu.

 10 And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God.

11 ¶ Vous ne volerez pas, vous n’agirez pas faussement et vous ne mentirez pas l’un à l’autre.

 11 ¶ Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.

12 ¶ Vous ne jurerez pas faussement par mon nom ; et tu ne profaneras pas non plus le nom de ton Dieu : Je suis le SEIGNEUR.

 12 ¶ And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.

13 ¶ Tu ne tromperas pas ton voisin et tu ne le voleras pas non plus, le salaire de celui qui est engagé ne demeurera pas toute la nuit chez toi jusqu’au matin.

 13 ¶ Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

14 ¶ Tu ne maudiras pas le sourd, ni ne mettras une pierre d’achoppement devant l’aveugle, mais tu craindras ton Dieu : Je suis le SEIGNEUR.

 14 ¶ Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.

15 ¶ Vous ne pratiquerez aucune injustice dans le jugement ; tu n’auras pas d’égard à la personne du pauvre, ni n’honoreras la personne du puissant ; mais avec impartialité tu jugeras ton voisin.

 15 ¶ Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

16 ¶ Tu n’iras pas ici et là, comme une mauvaise langue parmi ton peuple ; tu ne t’élèveras pas non plus contre le sang de ton voisin : Je suis le SEIGNEUR.

 16 ¶ Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.

17 ¶ Tu ne haïras pas ton frère dans ton cœur ; tu ne failliras en aucune manière à reprendre ton voisin et ne permets pas de péché sur lui.

 17 ¶ Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

18 ¶ Tu ne te vengeras pas et tu ne porteras aucune rancune contre les enfants de ton peuple ; mais tu aimeras ton voisin comme toi-même : Je suis le SEIGNEUR.

 18 ¶ Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

19 ¶ Vous garderez mes statuts. Tu ne feras pas accoupler ton bétail avec d’autres de différentes espèces. Tu ne sèmeras pas ton champ de semence mélangée, et tu ne mettras pas non plus un vêtement de lin et de laine mélangés sur toi.

 19 ¶ Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.

20 ¶ Et si un homme couche charnellement avec une femme, laquelle est une servante, fiancée à un mari, et qui n’a pas été rachetée, ou à qui la liberté n’a pas été donnée, elle sera fouettée ; Ils ne seront pas mis à mort, parce qu’elle n’était pas affranchie.

 20 ¶ And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

21 Et il amènera son offrande de transgression au SEIGNEUR, à la porte du tabernacle de la congrégation, c’est-à-dire un bélier pour son offrande de transgression.

 21 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trespass offering.

22 Et le prêtre fera une expiation pour lui, avec le bélier de l’offrande de transgression, devant le SEIGNEUR, pour son péché qu’il a commis ; et le péché qu’il a commis lui sera pardonné.

 22 And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.

23 ¶ Et quand vous entrerez dans la terre et que vous aurez planté toutes sortes d’arbres dont on mange, alors vous considérerez son fruit comme incirconcis ; il vous sera incirconcis pendant trois ans ; on n’en mangera pas ;

 23 ¶ And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.

24 Mais la quatrième année, tout son fruit sera saint pour louer le SEIGNEUR avec tout cela.

 24 But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise the LORD withal.

25 Et en la cinquième année, vous mangerez de son fruit, afin qu’il puisse vous produire son surcroît : Je suis le SEIGNEUR votre Dieu.

 25 And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am the LORD your God.

26 ¶ Vous ne mangerez aucune chose avec le sang. Vous n’utiliserez pas d’enchantements, ni ne ferez de prédictions.

 26 ¶ Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.

27 Vous ne tondrez pas en rond les coins de votre tête, et tu ne retireras pas les coins de ta barbe.

 27 Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

28 Vous ne ferez aucune incision dans votre chair pour un mort et vous n’imprimerez aucun marquage sur vous : Je suis le SEIGNEUR.

 28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

29 ¶ Ne déshonore pas ta fille pour qu’elle devienne une prostituée ; de peur que la terre ne se prostitue et ne devienne pleine de malfaisance.

 29 ¶ Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.

30 ¶ Vous garderez mes shabbats et vous révérerez mon sanctuaire : Je suis le SEIGNEUR.

 30 ¶ Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.

31 ¶ Ne prêtez pas attention à ceux qui évoquent les esprits, n’allez pas non plus après les magiciens, pour être corrompus par eux : Je suis le SEIGNEUR votre Dieu.

 31 ¶ Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

32 ¶ Tu te lèveras devant les cheveux blancs, tu honoreras la personne de l’homme âgé, et tu craindras ton Dieu : Je suis le SEIGNEUR.

 32 ¶ Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.

33 ¶ Et si un étranger séjourne avec toi dans votre terre, vous ne le vexerez pas.

 33 ¶ And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.

34 Mais l’étranger qui demeure avec vous, vous sera comme celui qui est né parmi vous, et tu l’aimeras comme toi-même ; car vous avez été étrangers dans le pays d’Égypte : Je suis le SEIGNEUR votre Dieu.

 34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

35 ¶ Vous ne pratiquerez aucune injustice dans le jugement, ni dans la mesure, ni dans le poids, ni dans la contenance.

 35 ¶ Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.

36 Vous aurez des balances justes, des poids justes, un épha juste, et un hin juste : Je suis le SEIGNEUR votre Dieu, qui vous ai fait sortir du pays d’Égypte.

 36 Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

37 C’est pourquoi vous observerez tous mes statuts et tous mes jugements, et vous les ferez : Je suis le SEIGNEUR.

 37 Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD.
