1 Et le SEIGNEUR parla à Moïse, disant :

 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Encore une fois, tu diras aussi aux enfants d’Israël : Qui que ce soit des enfants d’Israël, ou des étrangers qui séjournent en Israël, qui donnera de sa semence à Molech (Moloc), sera certainement mis à mort : le peuple du pays le lapidera avec des pierres.

 2 Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

3 Et moi, je mettrai ma face contre cet homme, et je le retrancherai du milieu de son peuple, parce qu’il a donné de sa semence à Molech (Moloc), pour corrompre mon sanctuaire et profaner mon saint nom.

 3 And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

4 Et si le peuple de la terre ferme les yeux en quelque manière que ce soit sur cet homme quand il donne de sa semence à Molech (Moloc) et ne le tue pas,

 4 And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not:

5 Alors je mettrai ma face contre cet homme et contre sa famille et le retrancherai du milieu de son peuple ainsi que tous ceux qui se prostituent après lui, en se prostituant à Molech (Moloc).

 5 Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.

6 ¶ Et l’âme qui se tourne vers ceux qui évoquent les esprits et vers les magiciens, pour aller se prostituer après eux, je mettrai précisément ma face contre cette âme et je la retrancherai du milieu de son peuple.

 6 ¶ And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

7 ¶ Sanctifiez- vous donc et soyez saints ; car je suis le SEIGNEUR votre Dieu.

 7 ¶ Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

8 Et vous garderez mes statuts et vous les ferez : Je suis le SEIGNEUR qui vous sanctifie.

 8 And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.

9 ¶ Car quiconque maudira son père ou sa mère sera avec certitude mis à mort ; il a maudit son père ou sa mère ; son sang sera sur lui.

 9 ¶ For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

10 ¶ Et l’homme qui commet adultère avec la femme d’un autre homme c’est-à-dire celui qui commet adultère avec la femme de son voisin, l’homme et la femme adultères seront avec certitude mis à mort.

 10 ¶ And the man that committeth adultery with another man’s wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

11 Et l’homme qui couche avec la femme de son père, a découvert la nudité de son père ; les deux seront certainement mis à mort ; leur sang sera sur eux.

 11 And the man that lieth with his father’s wife hath uncovered his father’s nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

12 Et si un homme couche avec sa belle-fille, les deux seront certainement mis à mort ; ils ont apporté la confusion ; leur sang sera sur eux.

 12 And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them.

13 Si un homme couche avec un homme, comme on couche avec une femme, les deux ont commis une abomination ; ils seront certainement mis à mort ; leur sang sera sur eux.

 13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

14 Et si un homme prend une femme et sa mère, c’est malfaisant ; ils seront brûlés au feu, lui et elles, afin qu’il n’y ait pas de malfaisance parmi vous.

 14 And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you.

15 Si un homme couche avec une bête, il sera certainement mis à mort ; et vous tuerez la bête.

 15 And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.

16 Et si une femme s’approche d’une quelconque bête pour se prostituer à elle, tu tueras la femme et la bête ; elles seront certainement mises à mort ; leur sang sera sur elles.

 16 And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

17 Et si un homme prend sa sœur, la fille de son père ou la fille de sa mère et voit sa nudité et qu’elle voie sa nudité à lui, c’est une chose infâme ; et ils seront retranchés à la vue de leur peuple ; il a découvert la nudité de sa sœur ; il portera son iniquité.

 17 And if a man shall take his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

18 Et si un homme couche avec une femme pendant son indisposition et découvre sa nudité, il révèle son flux et elle découvre le flux de son sang et tous deux seront retranchés du milieu de leur peuple.

 18 And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

19 Tu ne découvriras pas la nudité de la sœur de ta mère, ni de la sœur de ton père ; car il découvre sa proche parente ; ils porteront leur iniquité.

 19 And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister, nor of thy father’s sister: for he uncovereth his near kin: they shall bear their iniquity.

20 Et si un homme couche avec la femme de son oncle, il a découvert la nudité de son oncle ; ils porteront leur péché, ils mourront sans enfants.

 20 And if a man shall lie with his uncle’s wife, he hath uncovered his uncle’s nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.

21 Et si un homme prend la femme de son frère, c’est une chose immonde ; il a découvert la nudité de son frère, ils seront sans enfants.

 21 And if a man shall take his brother’s wife, it is an unclean thing: he hath uncovered his brother’s nakedness; they shall be childless.

22 ¶ Vous garderez donc tous mes statuts et tous mes jugements et vous les ferez ; afin que la terre où je vous mène pour y demeurer ne vous vomisse pas.

 22 ¶ Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out.

23 Et vous ne marcherez pas selon les coutumes de la nation que je chasse de devant vous ; car ils ont commis toutes ces choses et c’est pourquoi je les ai en horreur.

 23 And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

24 Mais je vous ai dit : Vous hériterez leur terre, et je vous la donnerai pour la posséder, une terre qui ruisselle de lait et de miel : Je suis le SEIGNEUR votre Dieu, qui vous ai séparés des autres peuples.

 24 But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.

25 Vous ferez donc la différence entre les bêtes nettes et celles souillées, et entre les volatiles souillés et les nets ; et vous ne rendrez pas vos âmes abominables par des bêtes, ou par des volatiles, ou par toute sorte de chose vivante qui rampe sur la terre, que j’ai séparés de vous comme étant souillés.

 25 Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.

26 Et vous me serez saints, car moi, le SEIGNEUR suis saint, et je vous ai séparés des autres peuples, afin que vous soyez à moi.

 26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

27 ¶ Un homme également ou une femme qui évoque les esprits ou qui est un magicien, seront certainement mis à mort ; ils seront lapidés avec des pierres, leur sang sera sur eux.

 27 ¶ A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.
