1 Et le SEIGNEUR parla à Moïse, disant :

 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Commande aux enfants d’Israël qu’ils t’apportent de la huile d’olive pure, exprimée, pour le luminaire, pour que les lampes brûlent continuellement,

 2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

3 En dehors du voile du témoignage, dans le tabernacle de la congrégation, Aaron le disposera continuellement, depuis le soir jusqu’au matin devant le SEIGNEUR : ce sera un statut pour toujours à travers vos générations.

 3 Without the vail of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the LORD continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations.

4 Il disposera les lampes sur le chandelier pur, devant le SEIGNEUR, continuellement.

 4 He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the LORD continually.

5 ¶ Et tu prendras de la fine farine, et tu la cuiras en douze gâteaux ; deux dixièmes seront pour chaque gâteau ;

 5 ¶ And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in one cake.

6 Et tu les placeras en deux rangées, six par rangée, sur la table pure devant le SEIGNEUR.

 6 And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before the LORD.

7 Et tu mettras de l’encens pur sur chaque rangée, afin qu’il puisse être sur le pain pour une commémoration, c’est-à-dire une offrande faite par feu au SEIGNEUR.

 7 And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

8 Chaque shabbat il le placera en ordre devant le SEIGNEUR continuellement, le recevant des enfants d’Israël en une alliance éternelle.

 8 Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.

9 Et cela appartiendra à Aaron et à ses fils et ils le mangeront dans le saint lieu ; car ce lui sera très saint, d’entre les offrandes du SEIGNEUR faites par feu, par un statut perpétuel.

 9 And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.

10 ¶ Et le fils d’une femme israélite, dont le père était un égyptien, sortit parmi les enfants d’Israël ; et ce fils de la femme israélite et un homme d’Israël se querellèrent dans le camp.

 10 ¶ And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;

11 Et le fils de la femme israélite blasphéma le nom du SEIGNEUR, et le maudit. Et on l’amena à Moïse ; (et le nom de sa mère était Shelomith (Sélomith), la fille de Dibri, de la tribu de Dan).

 11 And the Israelitish woman’s son blasphemed the name of the LORD, and cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)

12 Et on le mit sous garde, afin que la pensée du SEIGNEUR puisse leur être montrée.

 12 And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them.

13 Et le SEIGNEUR parla à Moïse, disant :

 13 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

14 Retire du camp celui qui a maudit et que tous ceux qui l’ont entendu posent leurs mains sur sa tête, et que toute la congrégation le lapide.

 14 Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

15 Et tu parleras aux enfants d’Israël, disant : Quiconque maudit son Dieu portera son péché.

 15 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.

16 Et celui qui blasphème le nom du SEIGNEUR sera certainement mis à mort ; et toute la congrégation le lapidera ; aussi bien l’étranger que celui qui est né dans le pays, quand il aura blasphémé le nom du SEIGNEUR, il sera mis à mort.

 16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.

17 ¶ Et celui qui tue quelque homme que ce soit, sera certainement mis à mort.

 17 ¶ And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death.

18 Et celui qui tue une bête, l’indemnisera ; bête pour bête.

 18 And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; beast for beast.

19 Et si un homme a causé un préjudice à son voisin, comme il a fait, ainsi lui sera-t-il fait ;

 19 And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;

20 Violation pour violation, œil pour œil, dent pour dent ; comme il a causé un préjudice à un homme, ainsi lui sera-t-il fait.

 20 Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.

21 Et celui qui tue une bête, il la remplacera ; et celui qui tue un homme, il sera mis à mort.

 21 And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it: and he that killeth a man, he shall be put to death.

22 Vous n’aurez qu’une sorte de loi ; aussi bien pour l’étranger, que pour celui de votre propre pays ; car je suis le SEIGNEUR votre Dieu.

 22 Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.

23 ¶ Et Moïse parla aux enfants d’Israël, qu’ils devaient retirer hors du camp celui qui avait maudit, et ils le lapidèrent avec des pierres. Et les enfants d’Israël firent comme le SEIGNEUR avait commandé à Moïse.

 23 ¶ And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses.
