1 Puis il dit aux disciples: Il est impossible que des offenses ne n’arrivent: mais malheur à celui, au moyen duquel lequel elles arrivent!

 1 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

2 Il vaudrait mieux pour lui qu’une meule de moulin soit suspendue autour de son cou, et qu’il soit jeté dans la mer, que s’il devait offenser un de ces petits.

 2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

3 ¶ Prenez garde à vous: Si ton frère enfreint contre toi, reprends-le; et s’il se repent, pardonne-lui.

 3 ¶ Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

4 Et s’il enfreint contre toi sept fois en un jour, et que sept fois en un jour il retourne à toi, disant: Je me repens; tu lui pardonneras.

 4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

5 Et les apôtres dirent au Seigneur: Augmente notre foi.

 5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

6 Et le Seigneur dit: Si vous aviez de la foi comme un grain de semence de moutarde, vous pourriez dire à ce sycomore: Sois déraciné, et sois planté dans la mer; et il vous obéirait.

 6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

7 Mais lequel d’entre vous, ayant un serviteur labourant ou nourrissant le bétail, lui dira sans tarder, lorsqu’il revient des champs: Va et assieds-toi à table?

 7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?

8 Ne lui dira-t-il pas plutôt: Prépare-moi de quoi je puisse souper et ceins-toi, et sers-moi, jusqu’à ce que j’aie mangé et bu; et ensuite tu mangeras et boiras?

 8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

9 Remerciera-t-il ce serviteur parce qu’il aura fait les choses qui lui avaient été commandées? Je ne crois pas.

 9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.

10 Ainsi vous de même, quand vous aurez fait toutes ces choses qui vous sont commandées, dites: Nous sommes des serviteurs improductifs: nous avons fait ce qu’il était notre devoir de faire.

 10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

11 ¶ Et il arriva, comme il allait à Jérusalem, qu’il passa par le milieu de la Samarie et de la Galilée.

 11 ¶ And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

12 Et comme il entrait dans un certain village, là dix hommes qui étaient lépreux le rencontrèrent, lesquels se tenaient éloignés:

 12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

13 Et ils élevèrent leur voix et dirent: Jésus, Maître, aie miséricorde envers nous.

 13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

14 Et quand il les vit, il leur dit: Allez vous montrer aux prêtres. Et il arriva, comme ils s’en allaient, qu’ils furent rendus nets.

 14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

15 Et l’un d’eux, quand il vit qu’il était guéri, revint et d’une voix retentissante glorifia Dieu,

 15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

16 Et tomba à terre sur son visage à ses pieds, le remerciant: et il était Samaritain.

 16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

17 Et Jésus répondant, dit: N’étaient-ils pas dix rendus nets? mais où sont les neuf autres?

 17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

18 Il ne s’en est pas trouvé qui soit revenu donner gloire à Dieu, sauf cet étranger.

 18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

19 Et il lui dit: Lève-toi, va: ta foi t’a rendu bien portant.

 19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

20 ¶ Et quand les Pharisiens lui demandèrent, quand le royaume de Dieu viendrait, il leur répondit et dit: Le royaume de Dieu ne vient pas, de manière à être observé:

 20 ¶ And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

21 Ils ne diront pas non plus: Voici ici! ou voici là! car, voici, le royaume de Dieu est au-dedans de vous.

 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

22 Et il dit aux disciples: Les jours viendront, lorsque vous désirerez voir un des jours du Fils de l’homme, et vous ne le verrez pas.

 22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

23 Et ils vous diront: Regardez ici; ou, regardez là: n’allez pas après eux, et ne les suivez pas.

 23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.

24 Car tel l’éclair, qui éclaire d’une partie sous le ciel, brille jusqu’à l’autre partie sous le ciel; ainsi sera aussi le Fils de l’homme en son jour.

 24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

25 Mais d’abord il faut qu’il souffre beaucoup de choses, et soit rejeté de cette génération.

 25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.

26 Et comme il en était aux jours de Noé, ainsi en sera-t-il aussi aux jours du Fils de l’homme.

 26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

27 Ils mangeaient, ils buvaient, ils prenaient femmes, ils étaient donnés en mariage, jusqu’au jour où Noé entra dans l’arche, et le déluge vint et les tua tous.

 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

28 De même aussi comme ce fut aux jours de Lot; ils mangeaient, ils buvaient, ils achetaient, ils vendaient, ils plantaient, ils bâtissaient;

 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

29 Mais le jour même où Lot sortit de Sodome, il plut feu et soufre du ciel, et cela les tua tous.

 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

30 Il en sera de même au jour où le Fils de l’homme sera révélé.

 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

31 En ce jour-là, celui qui sera sur le toit, et aura ses affaires dans la maison, qu’il ne descende pas pour les emporter: et de même que celui qui est dans le champ ne retourne pas.

 31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

32 Souvenez-vous de la femme de Lot.

 32 Remember Lot’s wife.

33 Quiconque cherchera à sauver sa vie la perdra; et quiconque perdra sa vie la préservera.

 33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

34 Je vous dis qu’en cette nuit-là il y aura deux hommes dans un lit; l’un sera pris et l’autre sera laissé.

 34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

35 Deux femmes moudront ensemble; l’une sera prise, et l’autre laissée.

 35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

36 Deux hommes seront dans le champ; l’un sera pris et l’autre laissé.

 36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

37 Et ils répondirent et lui dirent: Où, Seigneur? Et il leur dit: En quelque lieu où le corps est, là s’assembleront les aigles.

 37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
