1 Car voici, le jour vient, qui brûlera comme un four et tous les orgueilleux, oui, et tous ceux qui commettent la méchanceté, seront du chaume, et le jour qui vient les brûlera, dit le SEIGNEUR des armées, et ne leur laissera ni racine ni rameau.

1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
|
2 ¶ Mais à vous, qui craignez mon nom, le Soleil de rectitude se lèvera avec la guérison dans ses ailes, et vous sortirez et vous grandirez comme les veaux d’une étable.
|
2 ¶ But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
|
3 Et vous piétinerez les méchants, car ils seront des cendres sous la plante de vos pieds, au jour que je ferai ceci, dit le SEIGNEUR des armées.
|
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.
|
4 ¶ Souvenez-vous de la loi de Moïse, mon serviteur, que je lui commandai en Horeb, pour tout Israël, avec des statuts et des jugements.
|
4 ¶ Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
|
5 ¶Voici, je vous enverrai Elijah (Élie), le prophète, avant que vienne le grand et redoutable jour du SEIGNEUR.
|
5 ¶ Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
|
6 Et il tournera le cœur des pères vers les enfants, et le cœur des enfants vers leurs pères, de peur que je ne vienne et que je ne frappe la terre d’une malédiction.
|
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
