1 Et il entra de nouveau dans la synagogue; et il y avait là un homme qui avait une main atrophiée.

 1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.

2 Et ils l’observaient, pour voir s’il le guérirait le jour du sabbat; afin de pouvoir l’accuser.

 2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.

3 Et il dit à l’homme qui avait la main atrophiée: Avance.

 3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.

4 Et il leur dit: Est-il permis de faire du bien les jours de sabbat, ou de faire du mal? de sauver la vie, ou de tuer? Mais ils gardèrent le silence.

 4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

5 Et lorsqu’il les eut regardés à la ronde avec colère, étant navré par l’endurcissement de leur cœur, il dit à l’homme: Étends ta main. Et il l’étendit: et sa main fut rendue saine comme l’autre.

 5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

6 Et les Pharisiens sortirent, et aussitôt tinrent conseil avec les Hérodiens contre lui, comment pourraient-ils le tuer.

 6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

7 Mais Jésus se retira avec ses disciples vers la mer: et une grande multitude le suivait de Galilée, et de Judée,

 7 But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judæa,

8 Et de Jérusalem, et de l’Idumée, et d’au-delà du Jourdain; et ceux des environs de Tyr et de Sidon, une grande multitude, lorsqu’ils eurent entendu quelles grandes choses il faisait, vinrent vers lui.

 8 And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.

9 Et il dit à ses disciples qu’un petit bateau soit mis à sa disposition à cause de la multitude, de peur qu’elle ne le bouscule.

 9 And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

10 Car il en avait guéri beaucoup; à tel point que tous ceux qui avaient des maux, se pressaient sur lui pour le toucher.

 10 For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.

11 Et les esprits impurs, quand ils le voyaient, tombaient à terre devant lui, et criaient, disant: Tu es le Fils de Dieu.

 11 And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

12 Et il leur recommanda strictement qu’ils ne le fassent pas connaître.

 12 And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

13 Et il monte sur une montagne, et appelle à lui ceux qu’il voulait: et ils vinrent à lui.

 13 And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.

14 Et il en désigna douze, afin qu’ils soient avec lui, et afin qu’il puisse les envoyer prêcher,

 14 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

15 Et qu’ils aient le pouvoir de guérir les maladies, et de chasser les diables:

 15 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

16 Et Simon, il le surnomma Pierre;

 16 And Simon he surnamed Peter;

17 Et Jacques, le fils de Zébédée, et Jean, le frère de Jacques; et il les surnomma Boanerges, ce qui est, Les fils du tonnerre:

 17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:

18 Et André, et Philippe, et Barthélemy, et Matthieu, et Thomas, et Jacques le fils d’Alphée, et Thaddée, et Simon le Cananéen,

 18 And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,

19 Et Judas Iscariot, qui aussi le trahit: et ils allèrent dans une maison.

 19 And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.

20 Et la multitude y vient s’assembler de nouveau, de sorte qu’ils ne pouvaient même pas manger le pain.

 20 And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

21 Et lorsque ses amis l’apprirent, ils sortirent pour se saisir de lui: car ils disaient: Il a perdu la raison.

 21 And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.

22 ¶ Et les scribes qui étaient descendus de Jérusalem, disaient: Il a Beelzebub, et il chasse les diables par le prince des diables.

 22 ¶ And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

23 Et il les appela à lui, et leur dit par des paraboles: Comment Satan peut-il chasser Satan?

 23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?

24 Et si un royaume est divisé contre lui-même, ce royaume-là ne peut subsister.

 24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

25 Et si une maison est divisée contre elle-même, cette maison-là ne peut subsister.

 25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

26 Et si Satan s’élève contre lui-même, et est divisé, il ne peut subsister, mais il prend fin.

 26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.

27 Aucun homme ne peut entrer dans la maison d’un homme fort, et piller ses biens, sauf s’il n’a d’abord lié l’homme fort; et alors il pillera sa maison.

 27 No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.

28 En vérité, je vous dis: Tous les péchés seront pardonnés aux fils des hommes, et les blasphèmes quels qu’ils soient, par lesquels ils auront blasphémé:

 28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

29 Mais celui qui blasphémera contre l’Esprit Saint, n'aura jamais de pardon, mais est en danger de damnation éternelle:

 29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

30 C'est parce qu’ils disaient: Il a un esprit impur.

 30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

31 ¶ Alors ses frères et sa mère vinrent, et, se tenant dehors, envoyèrent vers lui, pour l’appeler.

 31 ¶ There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.

32 Et la multitude était assise autour de lui, et on lui dit: Voici, ta mère et tes frères sont dehors, ils te cherchent.

 32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.

33 Et il leur répondit, disant: Qui est ma mère, ou qui sont mes frères?

 33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?

34 Et il regarda à la ronde tous ceux qui étaient assis autour de lui, et dit: Voici ma mère et mes frères!

 34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

35 Car quiconque fera la volonté de Dieu, celui-là est mon frère et ma sœur, et ma mère.

 35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
