1 Et comme il sortait du temple, un de ses disciples lui dit: Maître, regarde quelle sorte de pierres et quels bâtiments sont ici!

 1 And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!

2 Et Jésus répondant lui dit: Tu vois ces grands bâtiments? il n’en restera pas pierre sur pierre qui ne soit renversée.

 2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3 Et comme il était assis sur le mont des Oliviers face au temple, Pierre, et Jacques, et Jean et André lui demandèrent en particulier,

 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

4 Dis-nous, quand arriveront ces choses? Et quel sera le signe lorsque toutes ces choses seront réalisées?

 4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

5 Et Jésus, leur répondant, se mit à dire: Prenn homme ne vous trompe:

 5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:

6 Car beaucoup viendront en mon nom, disant: Je suis Christ; et ils en tromperont beaucoup.

 6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

7 Et quand vous entendrez parler de guerres et de bruits de guerres, ne vous troublez pas: car de telles choses doivent arriver; mais la fin ne sera pas encore.

 7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

8 Car nation s’élèvera contre nation, et royaume contre royaume: et il y aura des tremblements de terre en divers lieux, et il y aura famines et troubles: ces choses sont les commencements des douleurs.

 8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

9 ¶ Mais prenez garde à vous-mêmes: car ils vous livreront aux Conseils; et dans les synagogues vous serez battus: et vous comparaîtrez devant les dirigeants et les rois à cause de moi, pour servir de témoignage contre eux.

 9 ¶ But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

10 Mais l’évangile doit être d’abord publié parmi toutes les nations.

 10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

11 Mais quand ils vous mèneront pour vous livrer, ne pensez pas préalablement à ce que vous aurez à dire, et ne le préméditez pas non plus: mais ce qui vous sera donné à cette heure-là, dites-le: car ce n’est pas vous qui parlez, mais l’Esprit Saint.

 11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

12 Or le frère trahira le frère à la mort et le père le fils; et les enfants se lèveront contre leurs parents, et les feront mettre à mort.

 12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

13 Et vous serez haïs de tous les hommes à cause de mon nom: mais celui qui endurera jusqu’à la fin, celui-là sera sauvé.

 13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 ¶ Mais quand vous verrez l’abomination de la désolation, dont le prophète Daniel a parlé, se tenant où elle ne doit pas être (que celui qui lit comprenne), alors que ceux qui sont en Judée s’enfuient dans les montagnes:

 14 ¶ But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judæa flee to the mountains:

15 Et que celui qui est sur le toit ne descende pas dans la maison, et n’y entre pas, pour emporter quoi que ce soit de sa maison:

 15 And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:

16 Et que celui qui est aux champs ne retourne pas en arrière pour emporter son vêtement.

 16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.

17 Mais malheur à celles qui seront enceintes et à celles qui allaiteront en ces jours-là!

 17 But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

18 Et priez que votre fuite n’arrive pas en hiver.

 18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.

19 Car en ces jours-là il y aura une affliction, telle qu’il n’y en a pas eu de semblable depuis le commencement de la création que Dieu a créée, jusqu’à maintenant, et qu’il n’y en aura plus.

 19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

20 Et si le Seigneur n’avait abrégé ces jours-là, aucune chair n’aurait été sauvée: mais à cause des élus lesquels, il a choisis, il a abrégé les jours.

 20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

21 Et alors, si un homme vous dit: Voici, Christ est ici; ou, voici, il est là; ne le croyez pas:

 21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:

22 Car de faux Christs et de faux prophètes s’élèveront et manifesteront des signes et des prodiges pour séduire, s’il était possible, même les élus.

 22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

23 Mais prenez garde: voici, je vous ai prédit toutes choses.

 23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

24 ¶ Mais en ces jours-là, après cette tribulation, le soleil sera obscurci, et la lune ne donnera pas sa lumière,

 24 ¶ But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

25 Et les étoiles du ciel tomberont, et les pouvoirs qui sont au ciel seront secoués.

 25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

26 Et alors ils verront le Fils de l’homme venant dans les nuages avec grand pouvoir et gloire.

 26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

27 Et alors il enverra ses anges, et il rassemblera ses élus des quatre vents, depuis la partie la plus éloignée de la terre jusqu’à la partie la plus éloignée du ciel.

 27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

28 Maintenant apprenez une parabole du figuier; Quand sa branche est encore tendre, et pousse des feuilles, vous savez que l’été est proche:

 28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

29 Vous de même quand vous verrez arriver ces choses, sachez que cela est proche, c’est-à-dire aux portes.

 29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

30 En vérité, je vous dis que cette génération ne passera pas, jusqu’à ce que toutes ces choses ne soient faites.

 30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

31 Le ciel et la terre passeront: mais mes paroles ne passeront pas.

 31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

32 ¶ Mais quant à ce jour et à cette heure aucun homme ne le sait, non, pas même les anges qui sont au ciel, ni le Fils, hormis le Père.

 32 ¶ But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

33 Prenez garde, veillez et priez: car vous ne savez quand ce moment viendra.

 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

34 Car le Fils de l’homme est comme un homme qui, faisant un long voyage, laissa sa maison, et donna autorité à ses serviteurs, et à chaque homme son ouvrage, et commanda au portier de veiller.

 34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

35 Veillez donc: car vous ne savez pas quand le maître de la maison vient, le soir, ou à minuit, ou au chant du coq, ou le matin:

 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

36 De peur qu’arrivant soudainement il ne vous trouve dormant.

 36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

37 Et ce que je vous dis, je le dis à tous: Veillez.

 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
