1 Et Jésus sortit, et partit du temple: et ses disciples vinrent à lui pour lui montrer les bâtiments du temple.

 1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

2 Et Jésus leur dit: Ne voyez-vous pas toutes ces choses? En vérité, je vous dis, Il ne restera pas ici une pierre sur une autre, qui ne sera renversée.

 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3 ¶ Et comme il était assis sur le mont des Oliviers, les disciples vinrent à lui en privé, disant: Dis-nous, quand seront ces choses? et quel sera le signe de ta venue, et de la fin du monde?

 3 ¶ And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 Et Jésus répondit et leur dit: Prenez garde qu’aucun homme ne vous trompe.

 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 Car beaucoup viendront en mon nom, disant: Je suis Christ, et ils en tromperont beaucoup.

 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 Et vous entendrez parler de guerres et des rumeurs de guerres: veillez à ne pas vous troubler: car toutes ces choses doivent arriver, mais ce ne sera pas encore la fin.

 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 Car il s’élèvera nation contre nation, et royaume contre royaume: et il y aura famines, et épidémies et tremblements de terre en divers lieux.

 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 Toutes ces choses sont le commencement des douleurs.

 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 Puis ils vous livreront pour être affligés, et vous tueront: et vous serez haïs de toutes les nations à cause de mon nom.

 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

10 Et puis beaucoup seront offensés, et se trahiront l’un l’autre, et se haïront l’un l’autre.

 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 Et beaucoup de faux prophètes s’élèveront, et en tromperont beaucoup.

 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 Et parce que l’iniquité abondera, l’amour de beaucoup se refroidira.

 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 Mais celui qui endurera jusqu’à la fin, celui-là sera sauvé.

 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 Et cet évangile du royaume sera prêché par tout le monde pour un témoignage à toutes les nations; et alors la fin viendra.

 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 Quand donc vous verrez l’abomination de la désolation, dont parla Daniel le prophète, s’établir dans le saint lieu (quiconque lit, qu’il comprenne):

 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Alors que ceux qui sont en Judée s’enfuient dans les montagnes:

 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Que celui qui est sur le toit de la maison ne descende pas pour emporter quoi que ce soit de sa maison:

 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Et que celui qui est aux champs ne retourne pas non plus prendre ses effets.

 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 Et malheur à celles qui sont enceintes, et à celles qui allaitent en ces jours-là!

 19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 Mais priez que votre fuite ne soit pas en hiver, ni le jour du sabbat:

 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 Car alors il y aura grande tribulation, telle qu’il n’y en a pas eu depuis le commencement du monde jusqu’à maintenant, non, il n’y en aura jamais plus.

 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 Et si ces jours-là n’avaient été abrégés, aucune chair ne serait sauvée: mais à cause des élus, ces jours-là seront raccourcis.

 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Alors si un homme vous dit: Voici, ici est Christ, ou là; ne le croyez pas.

 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 Car il s’élèvera de faux Christ, et de faux prophètes, et ils montreront de grands signes et des prodiges; à tel point que, s’il était possible, ils tromperaient les élus mêmes.

 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Voici, je vous l’ai dit d’avance.

 25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 C’est pourquoi si on vous dit: Voici, il est dans le désert; n’y allez pas: voici, il est dans les chambres secrètes; ne le croyez pas.

 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27 Car comme l’éclair vient de l’est, et brille même jusqu'à l’ouest; ainsi sera aussi la venue du Fils de l’homme.

 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28 Car où que soit la carcasse, là s’assembleront les aigles.

 28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29 ¶ Immédiatement après la tribulation de ces jours-là le soleil s’obscurcira, et la lune ne donnera pas sa lumière, et les étoiles tomberont du ciel, et les pouvoirs des cieux seront ébranlés:

 29 ¶ Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 Et alors apparaîtra le signe du Fils de l’homme au ciel: et alors toutes les tribus de la terre seront dans le deuil, et elles verront le Fils de l’homme venant dans les nuages du ciel, avec pouvoir et grande gloire.

 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 Et il enverra ses anges avec un grand son de trompette, et ils rassembleront ses élus des quatre vents, depuis un bout du ciel jusqu’à l’autre bout.

 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32 Or apprenez une parabole du figuier; lorsque sa branche est encore tendre, et qu’il pousse des feuilles, vous savez que l’été est proche:

 32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 Vous aussi de même, lorsque vous verrez toutes ces choses, sachez que cela est proche, même aux portes.

 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 En vérité, je vous dis: Cette génération ne passera pas, que toutes ces choses ne soient réalisées.

 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35 Le ciel et la terre passeront, mais mes paroles ne passeront pas.

 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36 ¶ Mais quant à ce jour et à l’heure aucun homme ne le sait, non, pas même les anges du ciel, mais mon Père seulement.

 36 ¶ But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37 Mais comme il en était aux jours de Noé, ainsi sera aussi la venue du Fils de l’homme.

 37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 Car comme dans les jours qui étaient avant le déluge, ils mangeaient et buvaient, se mariaient et donnaient en mariage, jusqu’au jour où Noé entra dans l’arche,

 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 Et ne surent rien jusqu’à ce que le déluge vienne et les emporte tous; ainsi en sera-t-il à la venue du Fils de l’homme.

 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40 Alors deux seront dans un champ; l’un sera pris, et l’autre laissé.

 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Deux femmes seront occupées à moudre au moulin; l’une sera prise, et l’autre laissée.

 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 ¶ Veillez donc: car vous ne savez pas à quelle heure votre Seigneur vient.

 42 ¶ Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 Mais sachez ceci, que si le maître de la maison avait su à quelle veille le voleur devait venir, il aurait veillé et n’aurait pas laissé sa maison être cambriolée.

 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44 Par conséquent soyez vous aussi prêts: car c’est à une heure où vous n'y penserez pas que le Fils de l’homme vient.

 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45 Qui donc est un serviteur fidèle et sage, que son seigneur l’a établi dirigeant sur sa maisonnée, pour leur donner la nourriture au temps prévu?

 45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46 Béni est ce serviteur, que son seigneur lorsqu’il vient trouvera faisant ainsi.

 46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47 En vérité, je vous dis, Qu’il l’établira sur tous ses biens.

 47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

48 Mais et si ce mauvais serviteur dit en son cœur, Mon seigneur tarde à venir;

 48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49 Et qu’il commence à battre ses compagnons de service, et à manger et à boire avec les ivrognes;

 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50 Le seigneur de ce serviteur-là viendra au jour où il ne l’attend pas, et à une heure qu’il ne connaît pas,

 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51 Et il le coupera en morceaux, et lui assignera sa part avec les hypocrites: là seront les pleurs et les grincements de dents.

 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
