1 Et Miriam et Aaron parlèrent contre Moïse, à cause de la femme éthiopienne avec laquelle il était marié ; car il était marié à une femme éthiopienne.
|
1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
|
2 Et ils dirent : Le SEIGNEUR n’a-t-il parlé que par Moïse seulement ? N’a-t-il pas parlé aussi par nous ? Et le SEIGNEUR l’entendit.
|
2 And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.
|
3 (Or, cet homme, Moïse, était très docile, plus que tous les hommes qui étaient sur la surface de la terre).
|
3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
|
4 Et le SEIGNEUR dit soudainement à Moïse, à Aaron et à Miriam : Sortez, vous trois, vers le tabernacle de la congrégation. Et tous trois sortirent.
|
4 And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
|
5 Et le SEIGNEUR descendit dans la colonne de nuage, et se tint à l’entrée du tabernacle ; et il appela Aaron et Miriam ; et ils s’avancèrent tous deux.
|
5 And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
|
6 Et il dit : Écoutez bien mes paroles. S’il y a un prophète parmi vous, moi, le SEIGNEUR, je me ferai connaître à lui en vision, et je lui parlerai en rêve.
|
6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
|
7 Il n’en est pas ainsi de mon serviteur Moïse, qui est fidèle dans toute ma maison ;
|
7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
|
8 Je parlerai avec lui bouche à bouche, et même en apparence, et non en énigmes, et il contemplera la ressemblance du SEIGNEUR. Pourquoi donc n’avez-vous pas craint de parler contre mon serviteur, contre Moïse ?
|
8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
|
9 Ainsi le courroux du SEIGNEUR s’embrasa contre eux ; et il s’en alla,
|
9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.
|
10 Et le nuage se retira de dessus le tabernacle ; et voici, Miriam devint lépreuse, blanche comme neige ; et Aaron regarda vers Miriam, et voici, elle était lépreuse.
|
10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
|
11 Et Aaron dit à Moïse : Hélas, mon seigneur, je t’en supplie, ne mets pas sur nous le péché par lequel nous avons agi follement, et par lequel nous avons péché.
|
11 And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
|
12 Ne la laisse pas être comme un enfant mort, dont la chair est à demi consumée, quand il sort de l’utérus de sa mère.
|
12 Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother’s womb.
|
13 Alors Moïse cria au SEIGNEUR disant: Ô Dieu, guéris-la maintenant, je t’en supplie.
|
13 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.
|
14 ¶ Et le SEIGNEUR répondit à Moïse : Si son père lui avait craché au visage, ne serait-elle pas dans la honte pendant sept jours ? Qu’elle soit exclue sept jours, hors du camp, et après cela qu’elle y soit reçue de nouveau.
|
14 ¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again.
|
15 Et Miriam fut exclue sept jours hors du camp ; et le peuple n’avança pas, jusqu’à ce que Miriam y soit amenée de nouveau.
|
15 And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.
|
16 Et après cela, le peuple partit de Hazeroth (Hatséroth), et campa dans le désert de Paran.
|
16 And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.
