To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David.
|
1 L’insensé a dit en son cœur: Il n’y a pas de Dieu. Ils se sont corrompus, et ont effectué une abominable iniquité: il n’y en a aucun qui fasse le bien.
|
1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
|
2 Dieu regarda depuis le ciel vers les enfants des hommes, pour voir s’il y avait quelqu’un qui comprenait, qui cherchait Dieu.
|
2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
|
3 Chacun d’entre eux a reculé: ils sont tous devenus complètement répugnants; il n’y en a aucun qui fasse le bien, non, pas un seul.
|
3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
|
4 Les ouvriers d’iniquité n’ont-ils aucune connaissance? Eux qui dévorent mon peuple comme s’ils mangeaient du pain: ils n’ont pas fait appel à Dieu.
|
4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.
|
5 Là ils eurent grand peur, où il n’y avait pas lieu d’avoir peur: car Dieu a dispersé les os de celui qui campe contre toi: tu les as rendus honteux, parce que Dieu les a méprisés.
|
5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.
|
6 Oh si le salut d’Israël était sorti de Sion! Lorsque Dieu ramènera la captivité de son peuple, Jacob se réjouira, et Israël sera content.
|
6 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
