1 La Révélation de Jésus Christ, que Dieu lui a donnée, pour montrer à ses serviteurs des choses qui doivent bientôt arriver; et il l’a envoyée et l’a signifiée par son ange à son serviteur Jean:

 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

2 Qui a attesté la parole de Dieu, et du témoignage de Jésus Christ, et de toutes les choses qu’il a vues.

 2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

3 Béni est celui qui lit, et ceux qui entendent les paroles de cette prophétie, et qui gardent ces choses qui y sont écrites: car le moment est à portée de la main.

 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

4 Jean aux sept églises qui sont en Asie: Grâce soit envers vous, et paix, de la part de celui qui est, et qui était, et qui est à venir; et de la part des sept Esprits qui sont devant son trône;

 4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

5 Et de Jésus Christ, qui est le fidèle témoin, et le premier engendré des morts, et le prince des rois de la terre. À celui qui nous a aimés, et qui nous a nettoyés de nos péchés dans son propre sang,

 5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

6 Et nous a faits rois et prêtres à Dieu et son Père; à lui soient gloire et domination pour toujours et toujours. Amen.

 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

7 Voici, il vient avec les nuages; et tout œil le verra, ceux aussi qui l’ont percé: et toutes les parentés de la terre se lamenteront à cause de lui. Oui certainement, Amen.

 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

8 Je suis Alpha et Oméga, le commencement et la fin, dit le Seigneur, qui est, et qui était, et qui est à venir, le Tout-Puissant.

 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

9 Moi Jean, qui suis aussi votre frère, et compagnon dans la tribulation, et dans le royaume et dans la patience de Jésus Christ, étais dans l’île qui est appelée Patmos, pour la parole de Dieu, et pour le témoignage de Jésus Christ.

 9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

10 J’étais en l’Esprit le jour du Seigneur, et j’entendis derrière moi une grande voix, comme celle d’une trompette,

 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

11 Disant: Je suis Alpha et Omega, le premier et le dernier: et, ce que tu vois, écris-le dans un livre, et envoie-le aux sept églises qui sont en Asie; à Éphèse, et à Smyrne, et à Pergame, et à Thyatire, et à Sardes, et à Philadelphie et à Laodicée.

 11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

12 Et je me tournai pour voir la voix qui parlait avec moi. Et m’étant tourné, je vis sept chandeliers d’or;

 12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

13 Et au milieu des sept chandeliers, quelqu’un semblable au Fils de l’homme, vêtu d’un vêtement descendant jusqu’aux pieds, et ayant la poitrine ceinte d’une ceinture d’or.

 13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

14 Sa tête et ses cheveux étaient blancs comme la laine, aussi blancs que la neige; et ses yeux étaient comme une flamme de feu;

 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

15 Et ses pieds semblables à du beau cuivre, comme s’ils brûlaient dans une fournaise; et sa voix comme le bruit de beaucoup d’eaux.

 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

16 Et il avait dans sa main droite sept étoiles: et de sa bouche sortait une épée acérée à double tranchant: et sa figure était comme le soleil qui brille dans sa vigueur.

 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

17 Et quand je le vis, je tombai à ses pieds comme mort. Et il posa sa main droite sur moi, me disant: N’aie pas peur; je suis le premier et le dernier:

 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

18 Je suis celui qui vit, et qui était mort; et, voici, je suis vivant à toujours, Amen; et j’ai les clefs de l’enfer et de la mort.

 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

19 Écris les choses que tu as vues, et les choses qui sont, et les choses qui arriveront plus tard;

 19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

20 Le mystère des sept étoiles que tu as vues dans ma main droite, et des sept chandeliers d’or. Les sept étoiles sont les anges des sept églises: et les sept chandeliers que tu as vus, sont les sept églises.

 20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
