1 Et après ces choses je vis quatre anges se tenant aux quatre coins de la terre, retenant les quatre vents de la terre, afin que le vent ne souffle ni sur la terre, ni sur la mer, ni sur aucun arbre.

 1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

2 Et je vis un autre ange montant de l’est, ayant le sceau du Dieu vivant: et il cria d’une voix retentissante aux quatre anges, auxquels il avait été donné de détériorer la terre et à la mer,

 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3 Disant: Ne détériorez pas la terre, ni la mer, ni les arbres, jusqu’à ce que nous ayons scellé les serviteurs de notre Dieu dans leurs fronts.

 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

4 Et j’entendis le nombre de ceux qui étaient scellés: et ils étaient cent quarante-quatre mille scellés, de toutes les tribus des enfants d’Israël.

 4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

5 De la tribu de Juda, douze mille étaient scellés. De la tribu de Ruben étaient scellés douze mille. De la tribu de Gad étaient scellés douze mille.

 5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.

6 De la tribu d’Aser douze mille étaient scellés. De la tribu de Nephthali douze mille étaient scellés. De la tribu de Manassé étaient scellés douze mille.

 6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.

7 De la tribu de Siméon douze mille étaient scellés. De la tribu de Lévi douze mille étaient scellés. De la tribu d’Issacar étaient scellés douze mille.

 7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.

8 De la tribu de Zabulon étaient scellés douze mille. De la tribu de Joseph douze mille étaient scellés. De la tribu de Benjamin étaient scellés douze mille.

 8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

9 Après cela je regardai, et, voici, une grande multitude, qu’aucun homme ne pouvait compter, de toutes nations, et parentés, et peuples, et langues, se tenait devant le trône, et devant l’Agneau, vêtus de robes blanches, et avec des palmes dans leurs mains;

 9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

10 Et ils criaient d’une voix retentissante, disant: Salut à notre Dieu, lequel est assis sur le trône, et à l’Agneau.

 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

11 Et tous les anges se tinrent tout autour du trône, et autour des anciens, et des quatre bêtes, et tombèrent sur leur face devant le trône, et adorèrent Dieu,

 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

12 Disant: Amen: Bénédiction, et gloire, et sagesse, et remerciement, et honneur, et pouvoir, et puissance soient à notre Dieu, pour toujours et à jamais. Amen.

 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

13 Et l’un des anciens répondit, me disant: Qui sont-ils ceux qui sont parés de robes blanches? Et d’où vinrent-ils?

 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

14 Et je lui dis: Sire, tu le sais. Et il me dit: Ce sont ceux qui sont sortis d’une grande tribulation, et qui ont nettoyé leurs robes, et les ont rendues blanches dans le sang de l’Agneau.

 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

15 Par conséquent ils sont devant le trône de Dieu, et le servent jour et nuit dans son temple: et celui qui est assis sur le trône demeurera parmi eux.

 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

16 Ils n’auront plus faim, ni plus jamais soif; le soleil non plus ne donnera plus de lumière sur eux, ni aucune chaleur.

 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

17 Car l’Agneau qui est au milieu du trône les nourrira et les conduira aux sources vivantes des eaux: et Dieu essuiera toutes larmes de leurs yeux.

 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
