1 Et je vis un autre ange puissant descendre du ciel, revêtu d’un nuage: et un arc-en-ciel était sur sa tête, et son visage était comme si c’était le soleil, et ses pieds comme des piliers de feu:

1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
|
2 Et il avait dans sa main un petit livre ouvert: et il mit son pied droit sur la mer, et son pied gauche sur la terre,
|
2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
|
3 Et il s’écria d’une voix retentissante, comme lorsqu’un lion rugit: et lorsqu’il eut crié, sept tonnerres firent entendre leurs voix.
|
3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
|
4 Et lorsque les sept tonnerres firent entendre leurs voix, j’étais sur le point d’écrire: et j’entendis une voix depuis le ciel me disant: Scelle ces choses que les sept tonnerres firent entendre, et ne les écris pas.
|
4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
|
5 Et l’ange que j’avais vu se tenir sur la mer et sur la terre, leva sa main vers le ciel,
|
5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
|
6 Et jura par celui qui vit pour toujours et à jamais, qui créa le ciel et les choses qui y sont, et la terre et les choses qui y sont, et la mer et les choses qui y sont, qu’il n’y aurait plus de délai:

6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
|
7 Mais aux jours de la voix du septième ange, lorsqu’il commencera à sonner, le mystère de Dieu devrait être fini, comme il l’a déclaré à ses serviteurs, les prophètes.
|
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
|
8 Et la voix que j’avais entendue depuis le ciel me parla de nouveau et dit: Va et prends le petit livre qui est ouvert dans la main de l’ange qui se tient sur la mer et sur la terre.
|
8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
|
9 Et j’allai vers l’ange, et lui dis: Donne-moi le petit livre. Et il me dit: Prends-le et mange-le; et il rendra ton ventre amer, mais il sera dans ta bouche sucré comme le miel.
|
9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
|
10 Et je pris le petit livre de la main de l’ange, et le mangeai; et c’était dans ma bouche sucré comme le miel: et dès que je l’eus mangé, mon ventre était amer.
|
10 And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
|
11 Et il me dit: Tu dois prophétiser de nouveau devant beaucoup de peuples, et nations, et langues, et rois.
|
11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
