1 Et il me fut donné un roseau semblable à un bâton: et l’ange se tint debout, disant: Lève-toi, et mesure le temple de Dieu, et l’autel, et ceux qui y adorent.

 1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

2 Mais la cour qui est en dehors du temple laisse-la, et ne la mesure pas; car elle est donnée aux Gentils: et la ville sainte ils la piétineront durant quarante-deux mois.

 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

3 Et je donnerai pouvoir à mes deux témoins, et ils prophétiseront durant mille deux cent soixante jours, vêtus de toile à sac.

 3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

4 Ce sont les deux oliviers, et les deux chandeliers se tenant devant le Dieu de la terre.

 4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

5 Et si quelqu’un veut leur faire du mal, du feu sort de leur bouche, et dévore leurs ennemis: et si quelqu’un veut leur faire du mal, il doit de cette manière être tué.

 5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

6 Ceux-ci ont pouvoir de fermer le ciel, afin qu’il ne pleuve pas durant les jours de leur prophétie: et ils ont pouvoir sur les eaux de les changer en sang, et de frapper la terre de toute sorte de plaies, aussi souvent qu’ils le veulent.

 6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

7 Et lorsqu’ils auront fini leur témoignage, la bête qui monte de la fosse sans fond fera la guerre contre eux, et les vaincra, et les tuera.

 7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

8 Et leurs corps morts seront étendus dans la rue de la grande ville, qui spirituellement est appelée Sodome et Égypte, où aussi notre Seigneur a été crucifié.

 8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

9 Et ceux d’entre les peuples et parentés et langues et nations verront leurs corps morts trois jours et demi, et ne permettront pas que leurs corps morts soient mis dans des tombeaux.

 9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

10 Et ceux qui demeurent sur la terre se réjouiront à leur sujet, et se divertiront, et s’enverront des cadeaux les uns aux autres; parce que ces deux prophètes tourmentèrent ceux qui demeurent sur la terre.

 10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

11 Et après trois jours et demi, l’Esprit de vie venant de Dieu entra en eux, et ils se tinrent sur leurs pieds; et une grande peur s’abattit sur ceux qui les virent.

 11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

12 Et ils entendirent une grande voix depuis le ciel, leur disant: Montez ici. Et ils montèrent au ciel dans un nuage; et leurs ennemis les regardèrent.

 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

13 Et à la même heure il y eut un grand tremblement de terre, et le dixième de la ville s’écroula, et dans le tremblement de terre furent tués sept mille hommes: et le reste fut effrayé, et donna gloire au Dieu du ciel.

 13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

14 Le second malheur est passé; et, voici, le troisième malheur vient rapidement.

 14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

15 Et le septième ange sonna; et il y eut de grandes voix au ciel, disant: Les royaumes de ce monde sont devenus les royaumes de notre Seigneur, et de son Christ; et il régnera pour toujours et à jamais.

 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

16 Et les vingt-quatre anciens, qui étaient assis devant Dieu sur leurs sièges, tombèrent sur leurs faces, et adorèrent Dieu,

 16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

17 Disant: Nous te remercions, Ô Seigneur Dieu Tout-Puissant, qui es, et fus, et es à venir; parce que tu as pris pour toi ton grand pouvoir, et tu as régné.

 17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

18 Et les nations furent en colère, et ton courroux est venu, et le moment des morts, afin qu’ils soient jugés et que tu donnes la récompense à tes serviteurs les prophètes, et aux saints, et à ceux qui craignent ton nom, petits et grands; et que tu détruises ceux qui détruisent la terre.

 18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

19 Et le temple de Dieu fut ouvert au ciel, et l’on vit dans son temple l’arche de son testament: et il y eut des éclairs, et des voix, et des tonnerres, et un tremblement de terre, et une grosse grêle.

 19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
