1 Et il apparut un grand prodige au ciel; une femme vêtue du soleil, et la lune sous ses pieds, et sur sa tête une couronne de douze étoiles:

 1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

2 Et elle étant enceinte, criait, étant en travail et souffrait prête à être délivrée.

 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

3 Et il apparut un autre prodige au ciel; et voici un grand dragon roux, ayant sept têtes et dix cornes, et sept couronnes sur ses têtes.

 3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4 Et sa queue entraîna le tiers des étoiles du ciel, et les jeta sur la terre: et le dragon se tenait devant la femme qui était prête à être délivrée, pour dévorer son enfant dès qu’il serait né.

 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

5 Et elle donna le jour à un enfant mâle, qui allait diriger toutes les nations avec un bâton de fer: et son enfant fut enlevé vers Dieu, et vers son trône.

 5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

6 Et la femme s’enfuit dans le désert, où elle a un lieu préparé par Dieu, afin qu’on la nourrisse là mille deux cent soixante jours.

 6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

7 Et il y eut guerre au ciel: Michel et ses anges se battirent contre le dragon; et le dragon se battait et ses anges,

 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 Et ils ne l’emportèrent pas; et leur place ne fut plus trouvée au ciel.

 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 Et le grand dragon fut jeté, ce vieux serpent, appelé le Diable, et Satan, lequel trompe le monde entier: il fut jeté sur la terre, et ses anges furent jetés avec lui.

 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 Et j’entendis une voix retentissante disant dans le ciel: Maintenant est venu le salut et la vigueur, et le royaume de notre Dieu, et le pouvoir de son Christ: car l’accusateur de nos frères est précipité, lequel les accusa devant notre Dieu jour et nuit.

 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 Et ils le vainquirent par le sang de l’Agneau, et par la parole de leur témoignage; et ils n’aimèrent pas leurs vies jusqu’à la mort.

 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12 Par conséquent réjouissez-vous, vous cieux, et vous qui demeurez en eux. Malheur aux habitants de la terre et de la mer! car le diable est descendu vers vous, étant en grand courroux, parce qu’il sait qu’il n’a qu’un court moment.

 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

13 Et lorsque le dragon vit qu’il avait été jeté sur la terre, il persécuta la femme qui avait mis au monde l’enfant mâle.

 13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

14 Et à la femme furent données deux ailes d’un grand aigle, afin qu’elle puisse s’envoler vers le désert, en son lieu, où elle est nourrie pour une période, et des périodes et la moitié d’une période, loin de la face du serpent.

 14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

15 Et le serpent lança de sa gueule de l’eau, comme un torrent, après la femme, pour qu’il puisse la faire emporter par le torrent.

 15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16 Et la terre aida la femme, et la terre ouvrit sa bouche, et avala le torrent que le dragon avait lancé de sa gueule.

 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17 Et le dragon fut irrité contre la femme, et s’en alla faire la guerre contre le reste de sa semence, ceux qui gardent les commandements de Dieu, et ont le témoignage de Jésus Christ.

 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
